Upholstering
The results were awful. Just atrocious. She sent me pictures the night before we picked them up and I was shocked. Speechless. But surely they looked better "in person". However, if anything they looked worse as you knew then that the angles weren't due to the camera. And you could see little errors that weren't visible in the pictures. They looked sad. Wrinkled. Pieces not cut properly. Stitches not where they should have been.
I told her they weren't close to what I had expected and that I was very disappointed. Yet she still wanted the last of the payment. So I paid her, loaded them up, and drove directly to a real upholstery shop and left them. He asked me if a beginner had done them and pointed out errors I hadn't seen. I've shown the pictures to many others, all of which were incredulous that she would let the out of the door that way.
