INSPIRATIONS DANCE STUDIO

This was my daughter's fourth dance school. In the several years that my daughter attended, I don't think she really progressed as much as I would have liked. The school is chaotic and disorganized at best. Classes always ended late, because there were no clocks in the dance rooms. This was a constant problem, and when you have a large family with several people who have to be at several places, it is vitally important that events begin and end when they are supposed to. Sometimes, other students would fill in as teachers, but discounts were not given on tuition. There was one dance recital, for which the costumes are quite expensive, and then I had to pay to watch my own daughter in her recital! The recitals always ran long, which also was a significant issue, and the quality of production was never what I expected it should be. Finally, there is the serious issue about the billing. Where my daughter is concerned, my ex-wife is the one who signed her up and was responsible for the bills. After going nearly $1000 in the hole, I suggested to the dance school that they should not contract out with my ex any more. My ex paid that bill, they signed a new contract, and now she owes $200. I got a very rude phone call from the studio demanding that I pay the bill since she won't. Instead of working with me to get the bill paid, the studio become increasing hostile. The final phone conversation, very strong words were exchanged, and I was turned over to collections - even though it's not my bill! My ex-wife spent over $4000 at Inspirations, and now they are getting hostile over a $200 balance that is only a couple of months old? To put it in perspective, of the total amount billed, over 95 percent was paid. It seems a bit penny-wise and pound-foolish to destroy a longstanding professional relationship, and throw away potential thousands of dollars, for a 60-day old debt of $200. Times are tough for everyone, and a little patience and undrstanding goes a long way. I don't appreciate being bullied, especially for a debt that isn't even mine. I will never send another person to this studio, and have been telling friends not to patronize this business, either.
