Mr. Miller, was recommended to me by my real estate agent. He came to my house in Highland Village, TX and visually saw all the contents that had to be moved. We were very specific what we would move and what he would move. He assured us that he could handle this job in a timely manner. His estimate was approximately $1,600. He knew we had other estimates in that range and assured us he could do the same. At no time did we tell him anything that was not true and we did not change from what we estimated to be moved.

His men showed up late on the day of the move. I NEVER saw him the entire move. They arrived with a 5th wheel trailer to move my furniture in! They do not own a moving van. The only thing they use is this trailer. Of course, by no means can you get an eight room house (2800 square feet) into that trailer even though we were not taking a great deal of what was there. They ended up taking two days and three trips back and forth 135 in rush hour traffic. They used an unreasonable amount of gas since it could have been done in one trip with one tank of gas. The men were nice and respectful and apologetic about their boss. They told us that this type of thing always happens. We tried to contact Mr. Miller repeatedly. When we finally did talk to him he was absolutely rude and obnoxious telling my 70 year old husband that he did not know how to read! When the move was finally over they presented us with a bill for $3,488! When we objected and told him that it was not our fault that he did not have the right equipment to do the job, he said that we took advantage of him. The men also, damaged a work bench and completely destroyed an L-shape wooden desk. They did note this on the paperwork. There was never a question about it.

Mr. Miller, refused to negotiate the price of the move at all, and also refused to replace the broken furniture saying that we owed him money because, we took advantage of him!!

We are in our 60's and 70's and moved both with corporations and on our own at least 12 times in 45 years of marriage. We have NEVER had an experience like this. Actually, even with local moves and itinerant labor we never had any problems and the few things that were broken were replaced and/or fixed with no aggravation at all. We thought we had seen it all when it came to moving. Mr. Miller, brings it to a whole new level. There does not seem to be anything we can do about it. We have pursed different avenues, but none with any success. I guess the only thing I can do is to make sure that no one else is taken in by the charm and promises of this man
