Steve was knowledgeable about carpentry and plumbing work. We needed basement stairs built and new piping from the sump pump to the outside yard. Steve did a wonderful job on both. Our new stairs are very stable and sturdy with hand rail and a good platform on the ground. Steve attached new tubing to our pump, shoveled out a trench in the yard, pulled the plastic tubing and replaced with ABS tubing. Neither were easy jobs. Steve arrived when he said, did great work and cleaned everything up when he finished. We will have Steve back many more times and are very grateful to have found him.

I am grateful that he showed up and he was nice however he was not prepared for the job.

"Sorry you feel this way. It was 9 degrees this morning . You state valve was in the barn which it was a foot inside exposed to the outside. Ground was so frozen shovel wouldn't penetrate the ground.. would have to had a backhoe to dig it up."

I really did not have that much of a problem with him except he drags projects out and charges way too much.

"When customer adds several projects at her house pulling you off the job ordinary slated it adds time. Customer knew price up front before job was started. You have to charge enough so when customers like this don't fully pay you do not go broke."

Steve bid the job and we picked a date. A few minutes before he was scheduled to arrive he texted and said he had been on an emergency call since 3 am and would not be at my house. I asked when he could be here. Several hours later he replied that he would not be able to do my job at all since his emergency call had turned into a big job. He did not offer to reschedule for a different day or anything.

He under estimated the time it would take and his ability to complete the job. Poor workmanship on floor and toilet. Causing toilet to flood and not be installed properly. When brought up to his attention took his tools and walked off the job.

Steve contacted me right away after I had needed a job done. HE stayed longer and made sure the job was completed before he left as it took almost 4 hours to bring down the old TV and re mount the new TV. I would definitely ask for Steve again if I need any job done around the house in the future.

We were very impressed w/Steve. He contacted me promptly and came the next day to clean our dryer vent and fix our water heater. Steve is VERY reasonable with prices, and as mentioned previously a 'super nice honest guy.' Home Advisor is lucky to have Steve 'on board!'

He is slow. It took him 1 full day and 1/2 of another to put a door in. He charges by the day, so he can work as slow as he wants. He is also a bit sloppy.

"This door was a complete cobble job by someone else. They had installed a interior odd size door as the man door into the garage. Had to remove and frame in the opening. Residents was 15 miles from Lowes and I had to go get the materials.Siding and j channel had to be cut to fit new opening. Owner must have forgot about fixing her front doors while I was their. Funny didn't give a review when I fixed a water leak before that other people couldn't fix saving her thousands instead of tearing out her bathroom."
