My family was recently victimized by Gary Moore when he inspected our home for a potential buyer. He damaged our property and was completely disrespectful. To be lengthy and specific: he threw my breast pump pieces in the sink, he left large greasy handprints on recently painted newel posts and trim work, he covered our marble bathroom sink in some sort of dirt/powder, he scattered my baby's books all over her dresser, he then also put dirt all over her changing table, he damage our attic access panel and covered it with handprints, he punctured two large holes in our drywall, and he left his trash on our dining room table. Our baby was four weeks old at the time and very vulnerable. When asked to remedy his damages, he requested to be let back in our home to fix it himself. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. I would never, ever allow this man in my house to violate my family again. Requests for fair monetary compensation to hire a third party for repairs have not been met. BEWARE.

I took off work to walk him around the home explaining again what I wanted and where obvious wood rot was.  I left.  I have no idea how long he stayed on site.  The work was incomplete, not at all as complete as expected and the initial report was confusing and incomplete. I called to complain and the inspector called me back.  I later called the owner (Gary) and was told he understood and that he would make it right.  I trusted him.  The same inspector was scheduled to call ahead and arrive Saturday morning to complete the job between 9-11 AM.  Its after 9:30 AM and I have not heard from anyone. I will finish the report later.  It is after 11 AM on Saturday..  The contractor did not call and did not show up.  I gave an A rating for the price. It was fair for the work EXPECTED.   I would give an A rating on responsiveness for the first scheduling but because of the lack of follow-up work as promised and no contact on the day we waited for him - I gave a D rating.  Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Luckily, Gary saved me from purchasing this property because of his inspection. The well water was contaminated. I didn't purchase this property because of this inspection. Gary was punctual, responsive, and professional. I recommend his services.

We chose HouseMaster on the recommendation of our realtor. Gary Moore and another inspector were on time, courteous, personable, and welcomed us to follow them around and ask questions (and we had a lot of them). The two of them took all three hours which gave me confidence that nothing was missed. They got into crawl spaces and rafters and other places I wouldn't go. The report was detailed, included pictures, and was online that day. The report was prioritized which made it easy to create the remedy list. I would highly recommend HouseMaster to anyone.
