Terrible place! Order 6 windows 6/12/2021 was told 14 weeks wait it is now January 5th 2022 still no windows. Called on several occasions and got the run around with different days and months they would be in. Eventually talked to the owner about getting our money back and he refused! Save yourself some time and money and go elsewhere this place is a scam they take your money and run!

I contacted window world in November 2019 to replace 16 windows (32 window sashes) at my home and I explained to them that I wasn’t interested in replacing the windows until March of 2020. They pressured me to sign a contract and pay half because they couldn’t guarantee the price after the first of the year, so I did. They called me in February saying they wanted to install my windows then but I explained that I couldn’t have them installed until March. In March COVID exploded and they kept pressuring me to have my windows installed saying they had a crew that didn’t have a problem being in my house. I was uncomfortable with them coming in so I said I wanted to wait until COVID calmed down. I had the windows installed June 16, 2020. The crew that installed them did not wear masks, gloves, or shoe covers. They left caulking stains and nails on my front porch which I felt should have been cleaned up. When I started cleaning the windows there was debris in between the panes of glass. I called to have someone come out and I was told that I needed to write down the model number and call them back and they would reorder. I then called my sales rep Brad Schumer who said he would stop over that day and handle this. I didn’t feel that it was my job to write down this information so I called back and requested that someone come out and fill out the necessary information to make the job right. I was told it would take approximately a week for them to send someone. My husband then called and complained and they said someone would come out the next day, unbeknownst to our sales rep who never bothered to show up when he said he would. When the representative came out to check the windows he found that 19 out of the 32 sashes were defective. Replacements were ordered but not one person from this franchise reached out to us to offer any explanation or tell us that the order would be expedited. I had just paid approximately $9000 for a product the was more then 50% defective. My reorder went right back in the queue and I had to wait another 6 weeks for the replacements. I then called and asked to speak with one of the owners and Patrick Moran Jr called me back. He was disrespectful and condescending to me on the phone. I believe his words were “you have windows that don’t leak and air isn’t escaping from them so big deal that there is debris inside the panes of glass.” I then told him to refund half of my money since more than half of the product was defective and that when they completed the job correctly I would pay them. His response was that if he did that he would negate my guarantee. I then called and asked to speak with his father to let him know how I was being treated but he never even bothered to return my phone call. On August 4, 2020 they came and replaced all the reordered window sashes but the order wasn’t complete and some of the new windows had debris in between the glass panes again. I was told it will be another 6 weeks before this job is done if it gets completed at all. On September 18th they brought my replacement windows and one of them was defective so I waited again. Finally in November my job was completed. It took a year. I spent $9000 on defective windows and was treated with condescension and disrespect. Not one person offered us any form of apology or compensation for all this stress. My upstairs was suppose to be completed by the end of July but because of defective windows it didn’t get done until November. I will never recommend this company and I would like a response.
Response from Window World
"Unfortunately, there were several defective windows that needed addressed. We sent a service manager to determine the extent of the issues the same week of installation. From there, there were additional delays, and windows that had to be replaced a second time. All services issues have since been completed. We are sorry for the inconveniences and delays, and wish things would have gone differently. Our apologies for this experience."

This was a horrible experience. I believe it's now apparent, you get what you pay for when it comes to windows. If you buy cheap, you get cheap windows, a cheap installation and above all, cheap service.
The window has leaked repeatedly and we are constantly informed that is not "their problem" but ours. The matter grew to be such an issue that we started to speak to the franchise owner who then stated he did not want our business and dared us to take him to court.
We honestly tried to do the right thing and give this business the opportunity to make this right- just fix what needs fix- and rather than listen to their customers they were extremely defensive nearly aggressive, attacking us for daring to question their windows. They were unwilling to support their customers, unwilling to remedy the issue they caused and above all, treated us with what I can only say was disrespect, rude behavior and above all, the most un classy business owner I have ever dealt with in my life.
Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT call on this business. STAY AWAY!

The sales representative, Don was excellent! Very Pleasant and courteous! We purchased windows for the the back of the house. We were so pleased that we just ordered more replacement windows for the front of the house. Everyone we encountered at Window World was professional, friendly and helpful.

Overall and all said and done, I do have a very nice, good quality window now installed. As far as the $189 price, well that's a crock. No one tells you about the charge added on to every order. I guess if you were buying a larger quantity of windows it wouldn't seem so bad, as it is a flat rate. There is a lengthy sales presentation, that probably isn't necessay - I guess it's amied at up selling and company integrity (and they're reasoning to be able to add the additional charge), but when I was clear I only needed 1 window to replace for now, well I could have lived without it. I would have rather had a more concise conversation regarding pricing and just how long this process was going to take (several weeks). So with those issues aside, it is a nice window, they were prompt on scheduled appointments and work was nice and neat.

I first used Fred and his family years ago when they were called something different. Something went wrong and they changed their name. I had them put my bay window in the lounge. They put some other windows in my house under a different name. They will not honor their warranties to the other company's name. Had I known that before anything else came up I would not have gone with them. They said it wasn't their company. Yes it was, I have your name, Fred Morgan, on the papers. It was called Windows Excel. He must have got some bad feedback and unhappy customers and decided to change the company name. Now that he has done that, and even though it is the same windows, he won't honor any of the 12 windows that they put in under another name. I am not happy with him at all. They try to push the product, and they push too hard. When I called the main company and I got the son, Fred, the price went up higher than it was supposed to be and there was a big disagreement there. I told him that as he had my $200 deposit, I'm not going to lose it, you might as well come and finish the damn job. A $200 window went to $400. "$200, any size!" When he tried to explain why everything went so much higher, we got the breakdown about this company and that company and that was why it was $400. Has he not had my $200? On top of that, he told me they weren't going to honor the other windows they put in? I have all their contacts, I save everything. The quality of the window ain't bad. They are not willing to work with you. I have told other people who want window people that I would never refer them to this company, in fact I will tell them to go somewhere else.

There are still some scratches on our doors and they weren't able to install the door handle on my side garage door. Where do I begin... It took the installation team six times to install our back door. Saw dust everywhere in my house and sawing done to my door. One day to install one door. What an inconvenience for our jobs...loss of pay also. The screws were stripped on the threshold, scratches, storm door didn't close properly, gap and light coming through new door, holes weren't pre-drilled, screws 1/4 out behind weather stripping, door didn't close with ease, wrong hardware, original trim around inside of door scratched and wasn't trimmed properly. Also, the dead bolts are all not centered key holes. When we called customer service, another week for correct hardware. We told them we didn't want the "contracted out" contractor wasn't to come back on our property to install any further doors. We had to get our family lawyer involved. Week later, install manager only installed side door and fixed back door. I could go on and on with the service issues. We were telling the salesmen things he should have known . We were more knowledgeable from the Pella guy. Also, we had to pay to have our alarm company come out four different times to take out and re-install contacts on our doors. We could have had a breach in our home since we didn't have the doors armed do to they system not being fully functional since Window World didn't complete their job as contracted in a timely manner. We rather had paid more money for Pella doors and window and had less headaches and a quality product that is installed by their company. I do not want Window World to contact us. We are done!!!Wrapping things up, the contractors didn't even test for lead. They told us, "It doesn't look like you have any lead". EPA will love them! I just recall that the trim around the outside windows isn't even caulked and secured properly.

They replaced ten windows. There were three workmen who came in who were very professional, polite and very thorough with doing the job. They came out here at ten 10:30 and were out of here at 03:30 and I think that was very efficient use of time. They prices were a little high. I had a good experience with them. I would use them again in the future if needed.

They put in three windows for us previously and I continue to use them. They are professionals, they have a very good product, and they show you what works and what doesn't work when they give you the presentation. They were right: last winter I could feel the heat going out of my other sliding glass door but the door they put in was warm on the inside and cold on the outside. They won't do just one window, they want a day's work. They are top of the line, they clean their mess up, and they don't have to come back to adjust anything. The glass tints in the summertime to keep the sun out. It is the best window that I've found and they beat everybody's prices.

They arrived as scheduled and completed the work on time. They cleaned up everything and left the house as they found it. Salesman was very helpful explaining everything about the windows and gave us various options. He gave us addresses to ride by to see work they had done and models of various windows installed.

Everything went extremely well; they were professional and friendly and completed the work efficiently; I would use them again and recommend them to friends. I liked the honesty of the man who came to do the demonstration and sell us the windows/door. Good company and would recommend to friends.
