TruGreen - 5180

My first service was scheduled today and I didn’t get a call nor did anyone show up. When I called they said sorry but we don’t know why no one showed up. I asked for a refund and they responded no one did any service.

I called to schedule this service in the middle of May 2017. I had to call once a week for 3.5 weeks to have someone come out and actually complete the service after they told me once a week they were coming the next week. I was offered a 25% discount for the hassle. Then I get my first bill and it was way too high. I was told in May the first payment was 49.99$ and the last 3 would be 62.95$. 25% off the first payment would have made it around 38$ before tax. I was charged $52 with tax. I called and they told me there was no promotion. Trugreen lied to me a handful of times and then charged me more then I was told in the beginning. Also, most of the time, when you ask for the tick service they end of spraying the perimeter of your house instead. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I would advise no one hire this company. My co workers are having the same issues and will be cancelling their trugreen service as well. PLEASE GO WITH ANYONE ELSE!!!

They are priced pretty high. Everything I wanted taken care of is still here. I have dead spots in my grass. They did a terrible job. 

They were the worst lawn care provider that I ever used. They were supposed to do aeration and seeding. I informed them that I did not want the services in August because the ground was too hard. They took the money and I feel they just do things when they feel like doing it. This has happened several times and they are real pushy.

Then I saw them putting the lime down, before the leaves were all down so I had to call them. They made it right. I just wanted them to do what I told them to do and that frustrated me that they did.

Great - I don't need to be at home - they call a couple of days before to schedule the service and then they show up and take care of it.

Were very punctual and concerned with our needs.  Even came back a week or two after first spraying to make sure everything was ok.  Scheduled to do 3 more sprayings to get us bug or at least gnat free until September.  Very pleased with trugreen's service so far.

My yard was brown and looked terrible. I called and they would just give me the same sales pitch... and I just got sick of it!

Can't really say a whole lot ,but my lawn looks wonderful.
I have been with them about five years now.
The guy that does my lawn is real nice . He comes to the door and knocks to let me know he's here.
He really cares.

OK but I asked them to come back to treat crab grass again because their treatment wasn't working. I asked to be called beforehand to let me know when the tech was coming so I could be home but they never called and he came while I was gone. The service ticket said he spot treated but nothing ever showed that ever worked...crab grass was terrible and I had to treat it myself.



This year service has been terrible with TruGreen. They weren't dependable and things only got worse so I quit them and started back doing my own lawn care and my grass looks much better. They need to communicate with their customers better.

I have had trugreen do my yard for approximately 6 years and I now have the worst looking yard in the neighborhood. I am the only one that has paid for lawn care. I personnally bought 20 more pounds of grass seed and will start to try to correct the problems with my yard that I feel was caused or should have been corrected by 6 years of TRUGREEN. I requested to talk to Greg the GM, but he has not returned my call. I got a call from (Tracy) the office manager and Joe the service manager who did stop by my yard and tell me grubs are the cause of the brown yard. I don't know if I can trust or afford this service.

We use to live in a very large home years ago. After my husband passed away and my son's had moved out I decided to move into a smaller home so I haven't used them since I moved. But they were very professional and friendly. I would use them again in the future if I ever needed to.

They are good but they don't water my lawn in the drought. All my neighbors use them. I would give them a B, B, B, B, B! I have to use them again but if they call me and want to do something about my drought-ridden lawn I will tell them to skip it. They will try and sell you anything that is on your schedule. We are having a drought! Most of the lawn is dead so get out of my face.

I am just not sure what I am paying for anymore my lawn looks like heck but so does everyone elses. But they are out here it seems like every other week doing their thing but I just feel like I'm paying all this money for nothing. So I don;t know.I will be moving and I am not sure if I will continue using them when I move or not.

TruGreen does a lot at our place and we see them frequently. They average $45-50 per visit, depending on the service they are providing during the visit. They do a really good job with weed and pest control. Since we began using them, we haven't seen a single dandelion or other weed in our yard or driveway. They also do pest control on the bushes around the yard to keep them healthy. We have absolutely no complaints about the weed/pest services they provide for us.

Our only complaint is that we really have no set schedule available for when they are going to visit. They do call ahead of time in the week to let us know they will be coming on a certain day, but it would be nice to have a list of when all of their visits would be so we know in advance. We recently began receiving paper bills, which makes it easier to keep track of what we are paying. Previously, it was an automatic charge to our bank account when they would come, which can take you by surprise.

Over all, we really like them and enjoy their service. It's SO nice not having to spend hours weeding on our own!

They are punctual. They come out every 2-3 months on schedule. They do what needs to be done to maintain the lawn. They make it a prettier and greener lawn.

I have had good and bad experiences with them. They were ok but I do not see them half the time when they are working. They are going to charge me a hundred dollar bill which I was not expecting for the growth control they put on my lawn. They aerated my lawn and one side is still not really good as a result of which they are going to come out and take care of it again. They did not do well and I hope they do a good job when they come back out. They took good care of the weeds behind one part of my property which I was very happy about. They are not horrible and yet not the greatest. I would use them again in the future.

They are supposed to come out and spray the front yard for weeds and then crab grass and everything, the bushes for weeds. They fertilize the yard.

I was left a notification of the treatment with a small plastic stake sign in my front yard as well as an informational packet on my front door that detailed the treatment and an open invitation to contact them if I had any questions. I thought that this was very professional of them. It has been a month now since the treatment and the dandelions and other broad leaf weeds are gradually wilting and dying. My lawn is also appreciably greener looking. I am pleased with their service so far and look forward to the remaining treatments and the looks of my lawn continuing to improve. The only concern I had regarding the treatment is that I had forgotten to ask about leaving our two dogs out to run and how soon I could mow the grass after the application. A quick call to their service center quickly answered my concerns and questions.
I am very pleased with their service so far and look forward to the remaining applications and the continued improvement in the looks and health of my lawn. I will continue to report on their service and results of the remaining applications as they occur during the summer and fall.

I have been pleased with their services as they call you before they come and do a good job treating my lawn. They are very responsive, as they will answer all of your questions on the phone and take care of any problems. In terms of quality, I do think they provide good quality work. Then for professionalism, I do think they are professional.

They are very good and you can bicker with them about price. They will try and give you seven treatments but you only need four. People have stopped by my house, rang my doorbell and asked me if it was TruGreen. Everybody that comes here or I go to every time asks about my lawn.

I had a contract with them last year, and I tried to terminate it. They still came out to lay the application down this year, and then tried to charge me for it. When I tried to call the corporate office to address the issue, it was almost impossible to get ahold of anyone. I finally got reached someone that was able to process a refund, without receiving any type of apology for the inconvenience. The whole process was beyond ridiculous, and I will not use them again.
