Sal and his workers showed up on the day promised. We are pleased with the work and the outcome of the project. They were professional and meticulous. Would highly recommend Stone Appeal for your next project.

Met with Sal in May, 2021 to have stone work around my pool for this season. Gave him $1,000 cash deposit. Called and sent messages, he didn't respond. I finally made contact in the middle of August, and was told he is very busy but would get to me. Never happened. Sal re-scheduled my work for May of 2022, I had no choice and re-scheduled. I contacted Sal in September and let him know I would not be able to move forward and have the stone work done due to family hardships and timing. He would not answer my phone calls, only text message. I asked for my deposit back and he refused saying he used my $1,000 to invest in materials. I asked him to provide me with the materials but no response. He obviously used the "materials" for another job. I am in no position financially to donate to Sal's business. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office but Sal did not respond. I sent a certified letter trying to resolve this issue, but no response. I will be filing a law suit against Stone Appeal. Sal has no compassion for anyone. Why he believes he should keep $1,000 for work or materials he did not deliver shows the type of person and type of business this is. He was so busy this season, as he said, he should have no problem refunding me. I would never recommend anyone to use this business.

Work was done very professionally. Sal really knows this business and was great to work with. I would hire him again without hesitation.

In 2018, I had my concrete garage resurfaced with the Stone Appeal product. Before Stone Appeal, the garage surface was cracked and pitted. The installation took one day. Sal and his workers did a great job! The garage is better than new and looks far better than the garage floor after more than 40 years of wear and tear. What a difference! Sal is a true professional and knows his trade. I would recommend Stone Appeal to anyone who is looking for an upgrade and repair for a cracked and pitted garage floor. Two years later, in 2020, I contacted Sal for an estimate to repair our uneven walkway entry to our house. Sal gave me the estimate in March and the job was completed in late September. Absolutely phenomenal!! My tripping hazard is gone, and the walkway is smooth and even. Sal is great, and his product is the best!

Sal and crew did an excellent job!!! They were very Professional in all aspects of doing the Job. With this year rainy weather, the job got delayed about 1 month, but it was well worth the wait. Sal and his workers did a great job. I am normally fussy person when it comes to contractors and I normally do not give reviews - but in this case it is well deserved. To be honest, we were a little doubtful at first whether to have our concrete surfaced with aggregate epoxy/stone (overlayment), but Sal assured us and made us feel quite comfortable in how he indicated he would perform the work, what we could expect, etc. He and his crew showed and methodically prepared the porch, steps and patio by doing extensive preparation work and forming of all the areas. When it was completed, the work was above and beyond our expectations. The job is perfect. Nicely done, no flaws anywhere. There is no question that I would definitely recommend Stone Appeal for any additional work and/or to anyone asking me for a recommendation.

It didn't..so far...Met up with Sal back on 4/12/17.....gave me a quote...set a date for June...but should be moved up in May as a "rain move up"...because he could do mine in the morning 1/2 day job......I was to,d I was the 4th rain date move up.....wrote a check for the deposit $580......moved most of the basement stuff into the garage...took off the baseboards (even pulled out the nails)........That was 4 months ago! I have most heard one word from Sal since we met back in April.!!....Have I called him?....No...my basement has flooded 3 times since we met due to rain run off.....so I have been pre-occupied...with the solution to my run off.........in the back of my mind I was considering going to the local magistrate.

Sal DeFazio and his crew were very professional and easy to work with. Sal has a strong customer ethic and will work with you no matter the issue. The work was completed on schedule. The finished product exceeded out expectations. We had the garage floor finished roughly 10 years ago. However, the workmanship and the system used was inferior to what we have now and started to peel off the existing concrete floor. I strongly recommend Stone Appeal for upgrading your garage or patio floors.

The owner of this company, Sal DiFalco, is not your average business owner. At the time of the estimate, I realized within minutes how much he cares about his craft. He came prepared with stone samples and an iPad full of pictures. He does the work himself with two assistants. I quickly made my decision to book him, but I also picked my colors too quickly. I began a personal struggle with my colors, and sent Sal the first of many texts expressing my concerns. Sal answered EVERY text with patience and professionalism. I ended up changing one of my original colors, and began the wait for him to come out. The weather was less than cooperative. It rained so much, delaying my turn in the rotatation. The wait was not fun. But I understood that Sal was not to blame for the wait, and if he could be there, he would. It was my turn to be patient. Today I said goodbye to my old, ugly, boring concrete, and have the most beautiful house on the street. It was definitely worth the wait. It was a quality job from an outstanding company, run by an honest and caring owner.

Sal and his crew did a fine job for us. They were on time. The front porch and garage floor look great. There was no mess left behind after the job. We are quite happy with the result

The owner of Stone Appeal, Sal, was a very good, down to earth professional individual to do business with. We received a much lower pricing for the completion of our stone and epoxy 2 car garage floor coating through him than other estimates from other companies, and are very happy with the appearance of the finished area. We just had the project completed about a week ago, so time will tell about the durability and ease of care of our garage floor. At the present time, we are completely satisfied with everything, and would not hesitate to highly recommend Stone Appeal to friends and family.

Met contractor at the Pittsburgh home and garden show.
Called for appointment and Sal came on time.  Was very professional.  He had a ton of pictures on his iPad so we can see that type and quality of work he does.
He answered all our questions and took measurements.  He provided an estimate and a when he can do the work.
We had to clear the floors of everything.  Note: We should have painted the walls at that point in time.
Crew showed up on time and did the work as described.  The nature of the work is not messy or smelly.
Cannot walk on the floors for a few days but that was just fine by us.
Floors look great and we get compliments on them all the time.  People think it's carpet in the basement.  It is much better than carpet since any moisture or spills just go through the stone and drain.  They practically disappear.
Floor is very easy to maintain and clean.  The garage will need a good cleaning and wash at the end of winter.  Only had to do it once and what I did was use the leaf blower, then go over it with a broom.  Leaf blower again then hose it down and scrub areas that need it.
Coating in the garage floor makes it a bit slippery when wet but that is our fault.  He warned us and we could have done it differently.
It covers any imperfections you might have on the concrete.  If you have big cracks they grind them down and smooth them before laying the stone.
In all we are very happy with it and would recommend to anyone.  Good product and good experience.

Prior to the work being done Sal, the proprietor, came by the house to measure our patio. He brought stone samples and examples of the many projects he had done for other clients which he displayed from his iPad. He was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions. We scheduled the work and he and his team of two additional men showed up on time. They worked for two whole days in 90 degree temperature. I was very impressed with Sal's work ethic and that of his team. I honestly do not ever recall any contractor ever working as hard and efficient as Sal and his team. The end result was amazing. The patio went from a grey concrete slab to a beautiful show piece. Even one of my friends said that he was jealous. The patio became a graceful extension to our living room which we accessed through french doors. We spend so much of the summer grilling and entertaining guests. Sal takes a lot of pride in his work and I can't say enough about him. He paid attention to every detail as if it were his own house. Rarely have I had as positive experience with other contractors. Sal is definitely a one-in-a-hundred businessman.

The job went as written in our contract. The owner Sal is on the job and working on the job to insure everything is done to perfection. We were pleased with the final job and would certainly recommend Sal and his crew to anyone wanting to have work done by Stone Appeal.

Very nice and personable. There was a delay on the job due to weather and he does the job personaly. However, on the job he did a fine.

It went great! We love the floors. They were very professional. They came at the prescribed time and finished in a timely manner. I would recommend them anytime!

The flooring was absolutely gorgeous.  Before it had cracks and was uneven and by the time they were finished with it, everything was evened out and it looked absolutely fabulous.  It is incredible what he was able to do with the designs in the flooring and the amount of detail that went into it.

Install went well. Because of cold weather, porch will be finished on Thursday, three days later. At that time the garage can be cured. The garage floor looks beautiful! I'm sure we will be just as happy with the porch.

HELLO MY NAME IS MARIE AND I LIVE IN PITTSBURGH PA. I HAD STONE APPEAL DO MY PATIO WITH STONE OVER MY PATIO. LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH CONTRACTORS THAT I HAVENT HAD ANYBODY DO ANY WORK FOR ME IN A LONG TIME BEACAUSE I WAS SO TIRED OF BEING RIPPED OFF SO I JOINED ANGIES LIST. I LOOKED UP STONE APPEAL AND DIDNT SEE IT ON HERE, SO I TOOK A CHANCE ON STONE APPEAL AND LET ME TELL YOU WHEN SAL CAME TO MY HOUSE HE WAS SO PERSONABLE AND PROFESSIONAL, HE HAD ALL KIND OF PICTURES OF HIS WORK WHICH LOOKED GREAT. SO I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE ON HIM. AFTER MEASURING MY JOB IT WAS PRETTY LARGE PATIO HE CAME ME A PRICE OF $ 5,000.00 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ALOT TO DO THE JOB. HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME A BOARDER AT MY ENTRY AS WELL. SO I AGREED TO HAVE IT DONE FOR THE MONEY HE QUOTED ME. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THE PROCESS AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE ONLY ONE DAY TO LAY THE STONE AND ONE DAY TO DO THE OVERLAY WHICH I AGREED. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE WILL BE HERE AND THAT HE ALSO DOES MOST OF THE WORK. (WELL I THOUGHT TO MYSELF YAH RIGHT WHATEVER YOU DONT USUALLY SEE THE OWNERS ON THE JOB UNLESS THEY ARE PICKING UP THE CHECK LONE ENOUGH GOING TO DO THE JOB ITSELF.) BUT I SAID OK BECAUSE I HAD ALSO TALKED TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT DOES THIS SAME KIND OF STONE WORK IN PITTSBURGH BUT HE WAS VERY ARROGANT TO ME AND ASKING ME WHY I WANT SOMEONE FROM OHIO TO DO MY JOB SINCE YOU HAVE SOMEONE HERE ALREADY IN PITTSBURGH, WHICH I DIDNT LIKE THE WAY HE WAS TALKING TO ME. AND SO SAL AND I PICKED A DATE IN THE BEGINNING OF MAY WEATHER PERMITTING. I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO MAKE AN AGREEMENT SO I HEARD FROM SAL AT THE END OF APRIL TO SET UP A DATE IN MAY. SO I HAD MY DATE AND THEN I WENT TO THE STORE SO I COULD BUY HOT SAUSAGE AND STUFF TO MAKE PASTA SALAD AND DRINKS SO THAT I COULD FEED THEM AND KEEP THEM HYDRATED IN CASE IT WAS HOT OUTSIDE I THINK EVERONE SHOULD FEED THEM AND GIVE THEM DRINKS YOU SEE I DO THIS FOR WHOEVER DOES WORK FOR ME WELL THATS JUST ME. SO PEOPLE SAL AND HIS WORKERS JOE AND PAT INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD START MY JOB ON THURSDAY MAY 2, 2013. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND THEY HAD TO PREP THE CONCRETE SAND THE CONCRETE PUT THE STRIPS IN AND FIX THE CRACKS IN THE CONCRETE BEFORE THEY COULD MIX THE STONE AND TRIAL IN ON MY PATIO. LET ME TELL YOU PEOPLE THEY WORKER SO HARD I NEVER REALIZED HARD MUCH WORK WAS INVOLVED IN THIS KIND OF JOB. AFTER WATCHING THEM WORK AND ASKING THEM QUESTIONS AND BUGGING THEM I STILL WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE JOB AND SAL COULD TELL THAT I WAS STILL NERVOUS I SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT THE GREAT JOB THAT THEY DID. IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL. THEY WORKED SO HARD AND I HAD ALSO HAD THEM DO MY STAIRS AND AN EXTRA SMALL PIECE ON MY PATIO SAL INFORMED ME THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE IT WAS STARTING TO GET VERY DARK. LET ME TELL YOU THEY SHOWED UP AT 11:00AM AND WORKED TILL 10:45PM. SAL REALLY MADE ME COMFORTABLE AND I AM READY TO TRUST CONTRACTORS THEY ARE NOT ALL RIP OFFS. THANKS SAL. AND AFTER WATCHING EVERYTHING THAT THEY DID I REALLY DONT THINK THE PRICE HE QUOTED ME WAS TOO MUCH AT ALL. I DID GIVE HIM A LITTLE MORE THAN HE HAD ASKED FOR BUT THAT REALLY WASNT MUCH FOR THE AMOUNT OF WORK AND WORKMANSHIP THAT SAL AND HIS CREW HAD DONE ON MY JOB. I KNOW THAT I HAD CALLED HIM SO MANY TIMES BEFORE MY JOB EVEN STARTED BECAUSE I WAS SO WORRIED BECAUSE TO ME THAT WAS ALOT OF MONEY BUT AS THE JOB PROCEEDED I DIDNT FEEL THE SAME WAY. SO IF YOU REALLY WANT A NEW PATIO STONE OVER YOUR CONCRETE PATIO DO IT AND CALL SAL AT STONE APPEAL HE WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY WITH THE JOB HE AND HIS GUYS DO. AND YES THERE PRICES ARE NOT TOO OUT THERE CONSIDERING HOW MUCH WORK AND WORKMANSHIP IS PUT IN TO IT.AND HE IS VERY FRIENDLY ALSO WHICH IS A BONUS.
