I had my roof installed in October of 2017. They installed a ridge vent but didn't take out the power vent. I asked them if they would come out and fix it, they said they would let a gentleman named Lars know to fix it. I never received a phone call from Lars and had called the office numerous times and they told me that Lars gone missing and that he needs to figure out his own demons and all sort of different things just trashing him. *I personally could have gave two ***** what Lars drama was, I just wanted my roof fixed* so Lars finally calls around Christmas and says it'll be done within a week. HE NEVER CALLED AGAIN, NEVER CAME TO THE HOUSE, ENERGYWISE NEVER EVEN FOLLOWED UP. NOW THE ROOF IS LEAKING AND MY LIVING ROOF CEILING IS POPPING UP. THEY WERE RUDE WHILE THEY WERE INSTALLING, CLEANING UP, AND EVERYTHING AFTER HAS BEEN A HEADACHE, STRESSFULL AND JUST A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER USE THIS **** COMPANY AGAIN AND I HOPE THIS DETURS ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS CONSIDERED THEM. PLEASE THINK TWICE AND PROCEED WITH CAUTION. ****THEY LEFT A LIGHTNING ROD CABLE HANGING OVER MY POWER LINE WHEN THE LEFT THE FIRST DAY, WE CALLED AND THEY ACTED LIKE IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL****

Terrible, energy wise wants all their money as soon as one part arrives. Job was supposed to be done in 4 days took two weeks. Wrong parts, no equipment, had to redo several things. Stay away from this company.

July, 2013 we saw an ad in a flyer so we called and a representative, Scott, came out. We later found this to be one of the owners. We told him what we wanted and gave him a downpayment. There was to be some cement work (stamping) involved and when our preferred concrete man couldn't do his part until spring, we canceled the job (you have to do this within 72 hours of signing papers). We were on a two week vacation and upon our return another owner came down with a "heavy handed" approach and promised us that his crew could do the job to our satisfaction. And that we didn't have to pay until the job was done to our satisfaction. This guy, Tony, wanted additional monies, which we gave him. The nightmare then began. A concrete guy came out and the foreman came out (who we later found to be Tony;s brother in law) and they both said they were not able to stamp concrete. We tried to cancel the job because it wasn't going to be what we exactly wanted but Tony was rude so we never spoke directly to him again. It was November before they poured the concrete (which is kind of late in Ohio) and they were short so the concrete doesn't match on one part of the porch. The porch is two tier. We had to seal the concrete ourselves. The bro in law started wanting his money even though the job was not done and hounded us until we finally agreed that they would knock off $1165.00 for the mismatched concrete which we will have to slate now. Since we were financing the remainder of the balance, EnergyWise would have to write us a check for the $1165. Job was finished mid-November and we got our check end of January, 2014, and, then, only after we turned them in to the Ohio Attorney General. And, check was only for $1000. Bottom line is this: we are very happy with the porch overall as the contractors Energy Wise hired were quality people. The concrete crew, the roofers, etc were excellent professionals. So, if you know which crews you need to hire, skip Energy Wise and do it yourself. It will cost less and the fat cats at Energy Wise can take a hike off a short pier.

They subcontract and our subcontractor was arguing with the company almost daily about lack of supplies or them wanting him to do things with poor quality to get the job done. Dailly we heard " I can't do" the job that we contracted to be done. We were glad when it was over and the doors, siding and windows are fine. but our sliding glass door doesn't close easily.

The overall experience was lousy. I put $2100 down and was told that I would pay the balance upon completion and only when I was totally satisfied. They were even going to send someone to inspect the job (and that never happened). A few weeks before the installation was to be done, I got a phone call DEMANDING another $1200. I said I'd put a check in the mail and the man said that wouldn't be good enough -- he insisted I put it on my credit card -- he said that if I wrote a check he would have to send two guys over to pick it up. (That didn't make sense either). After arguing with him for a considerable length of time I ended up putting it on a credit card.
These people misrepresented everything right from the beginning. I would never use them again.

first they changed the start up date. we were told the entire job was to take ten days total. this job lasted through oct. 2012.our entire yard , front and back, driveway look like a war zone ! most of the employees would not show up for work, when they did they would work half a day and leave . they smoked threw the cigarette butts in our lawn. lunch time was also left laying around the yard.our siding had holes ,bubbles, gaps and ripples in it. we pointed all this out to the work crew as well as calling the company owner , several times for repairs (as they were here working ) . to only have arguements with each of the employees. each attempt to correct the imperfections was pretty much a failure. this is christmas week and part of our wrap on our front pillars blew off because the crew didnt use enough nails to secure the wrap. when we called about this the foreman laughted and said that they do this to save materials . so we are paying for one botched up home improvement service that im guessing will fall apart before spring arrives. even they said they back the workmanship 100 %.

It was very unpleasant. They lied to us that they would get a building permit from our city. We always do building permits. When the workers arrived they didn't present it to me. They delivered the wood and started working, and when I asked them where the building permit was, they didn't know anything about it. They had to stop work and all that wood sat in my yard and killed the grass. The doors sat in the sunlight, so they had to bring me new doors. By the time they got the work permit from the city it was probably a month that the work was delayed. I am not satisfied with the work they did. The porch consists of four sliding doors and two stationary panels and there are nails that are exposed. The president of the company was the one who sold us the job. He told me to call him personally and he would take care of any problems, but he wouldn't return any of my phone calls and he avoided me. I spoke to managers, but they just told me lies. They still have not corrected the things that I asked them to correct, except they did replace some warped plastic door jam pieces. I wanted Polaris doors. I think Polaris is a fine company who makes the doors, but energy wise, I would not recommend them. 5/13/2009, because of Angie's List pleas, they contacted me. They sent a worker out this March, but it was the same installer with the same excuses of the finished product. So nothing was improved to my satisfaction.
