Overcharged for labor on hot water tank AND installing 2 faucets. Dumped rusted metal from the inside of my broken hot water tank into my floor drain when I clearly have an ejection pump system which caused a terrible clean up issue in my drain. Could not install a new faucet in my ceramic pedestal sink but charged me 2 hours for taking the old faucet out. We are not at all happy with their field plumber who did our inside plumbing. Would never recommend to anyone.

He wanted to replace the total granite top and backsplash along with the sink that mounted underneath I only wanted it mounted underneath and wanted to keep the existing countertop after he quoted it would be at least $200 more for his granite countertop I told him to call me if you just want to do the under sink mount. As he did not call after week, we decided to get someone else outside of Angies List. His quote of $350 just for the sink or $500-550 for granite top also was given to another who just replaced the sink for $150. I would not recommend him.

Denny arrived on schedule and did an expert job of installing the water filter system and replacing the kitchen faucet unit. At my request, he checked out the faucets in both bathrooms and the house water shut off valve in the basement. I was extremely impressed by Denny's knowledge, strength, flexibility, and patience. I would call EMS again, definitely.

Whatever you do, avoid this company. When I called to set up an appointment to run a waterline for a fridge, I was told that the hourly rate was $85/hour and that the job would take about 1-2 hours. I set up the appointment for later in the week at 8am. At 4AM, I left Columbus (where I had an unexpected work trip) and arrived in plenty of time to clear a path for the plumber prior to the expected and agreed upon time of 8am. I arrived home, cleared the site, made some coffee, and waited until 8am….and waited, and waited. At 9am, whereupon I received a call that the “plumber” is loading the required materials needed for the job into his vehicle and will be leaving shortly. He arrived at our house, looked at the job, and decided he needed to head to the hardware store to pick up some 1/4” tubing (it should be noted, that EVERY fridge uses this size of tubing, so if you were a real plumber, you should take it to any job that you've been told is to connect a fridge waterline). When he returned, at 9:50am, he ran a new line to an existing compression valve, and was done at 10:30am (40 minutes total). He came back from his vehicle where he was preparing the bill, and my wife pointed out to him that the water from the fridge ran EXTREMELY slow…with no exaggeration, it took 4 minutes to fill a 12oz glass. He said that it was because it was a ¼ water line. We didn't push it further, as he then presented a bill with a charge for two hours of labor and that the parts were $15, for a total of $185. I pointed out that there was only 40 minutes of labor…not 120. He responded by saying that the “truck is of limited size, and I can’t stock everything needed to do a job.” While I completely understand that statement in the abstract, the part needed here (plastic tubing) is the most generic part that would be needed for any refrigerator waterline -- it should either be on the truck already, or put in the truck if a fridge waterline is part of your jobs that day. It would be like hiring an arborist to cut down a tree, and him neglecting to bring a saw to the job – and then having him charge you for the hour it takes for him to go shopping for a saw. I called the shop, and spoke to someone about the overcharge, and then this person would cover the hand piece of the phone and talk with Edward Snitzer (the proprietor) and we had a labored conversation with him relating my comments to Edward, then relating his comments back to me, and back and forth - I imagined him standing right behind the employee serving as a mediator. Edward claimed (through his employee) that he had quoted me 2 hours (not the actual 1-2 hours we discussed) and that an hour long trip to the hardware store is an appropriate part of every job. Eventually he grudgingly agreed that an hour of labor would be a more appropriate charge. After the “plumber” left, I called a coworker of mine who seems fairly handy, and asked him why the fridge takes such a ridiculous amount of time fill a small glass with water. My coworker said that the valve (which was likely from the 1970s) was likely clogged up with minerals and funk from the previous 50 years of use. He was surprised that the worker didn’t replace the original valve, or what he felt that a REAL plumber would do, would be to “toss the compression needle valve, cut the pipe, and solder in a T with a ball valve”. I just wanted the fridge to work (and didn't want to learn how to solder...which of course is why I tried to hire a plumber), so I ran off to a hardware store, bought the same kind of valve that was on the pipe (from the 1960s) and replaced the original valve. $10 later, the fridge fills a glass of water quickly. In short, we blew $100 (and almost $185) to hire someone that literally knew nothing about plumbing and left without doing the job correctly (or even with a functioning waterline) and...if that wasn't enough...argued about a blatantly unfair bill. In the end I had to do the repair myself. If you have anything that you’re even remotely considering hiring EMS for, I would recommend you STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY either contact a better company or buy a friend/coworker/neighbor a $100 bottle of scotch to have them help you. Either way the job will be done right, you'll spend less money, and you won't blow an entire day fixing their screw ups -- not to mention you might even become friends with that co-worker or neighbor.

Be aware that you'll pay $80-$85 for the service call alone. I refused their service after being quoted for about $400 of work and parts and still had to pay nearly $100 just to have the tech drive to my home. Save your money and call Mr Rooter. They likely won't charge you just to come over and give you a diagnosis.

Very well, replaced old cast plumbing from toilet to sewer. Big job in 2014 and all hands were on deck with this company. No additional problems, very happy with repair. Downtime minimal considering the scope of cutting out cast.

The work they did was very good. I was told the price would be $825 unless they needed to bring in extra help to install if we had unique circumstances then the price would be $900. This was a basic install. Nothing special about it and they ended up charging $900. I was not happy about that and felt a little cheated.

Excellent and professional. Sump pump itself developed a leak at the manufacturers connection.  Called and the plumber was out to fix it within 2 hour time frame. Everything was installed to our liking and easy to work with this company. Denny was the plumber and Marino/Raymond did our scheduling and answered our questions. The owner, ED, made the original visit for an estimate available on line.

I got the name of this plumber for my neighbor, so I really cannot comment on how he did his job.  My neighbor seemed very pleased with his work, so I am going to assume he did what he was supposed to and corrected their problem.
