it was one of the worst experiences of my life. 1st when CT consultants came to the house to go over the work to be done,he did not ask what needed done, he just went through the house & picked what he thought, they do not tell you you are entitled to median grade fixtures and doors ect. their contract states the "best of items will be installed" but they will give you no price list to work off of. Also if you do not know anything about carpentry to ask every question, such as will the crew clean up what they mess up? Or what exactly do you supply? Or when you build the ramp will extend to an entry or walkway or road. With the exception of the front door, EVERYTHING done had to be redone. this is 2 weeks since finish and the paint and bonding are coming off the walls, the towel rack just fell on the floor, I have paint spatter all over my bedroom floor, they would not cover my furniture while they worked and I have either paint splatter or plaster all over my ottoman and chair, the back door is crooked & a wheel chair cannot access the back door (this door opening was suppose to be completly rebuilt and made wider) the area between the drive and ramp are s*** and is very difficult for a wc to access, my flower beds were dug up and left, no mulch returned, no ADA shower or sink were installed. the ramp is nice but put in a different location then what was agreed upon, the contractor tried to bring in used linnen closets and other material. He continually tried to chg what was written in the contract, if I signed or not. CTconsultants called me greedy because I wanted to have the work done right and wanted "median priced" faucets installed. CT consultants took 2 different papers & forged together with added prices and used my signature from one to another. I was able to get a hold of the people who distribute the money and grant and THAN almost everything was redone. The state is in the process of investigating.& the $11,800 for lead abatement is a joke, what I got for my $11,800. was a painted front porch and basement floor and the 2 porch ceilings covered in alumium.. I am waiting for the state of Ohio to do their thing then I will decide on an attorney or filing fed. fraud charges. I am a retired widow, I have worked 2 jobs most of my life, I thought maybe all that tax money paid in was coming back a little. If DCD and CT paid me the $36,000 (that will stay as a lein on my mortgage for 5 years,if I die or go into a nursing home the city gets the house or money each yr. 18% is taken off) it would not be enough for what I was put through. Once again if you are poor or disabled in this country, get used to the bottom of the barrel.
Description of Work: I have a 700 sq ft home. I contracted for new entry doors and storms, 6 windows, roof vent elec. pannel update, chimmney liner, lift front porch, ramp, ada bath. I was charged $11,000.00 for lead abatement. This came as a community block grant through CT consultants, who were suppose to put out bids to 9 different contractors, since DCD filled the in 4 days, I wonder who had a chance to bid.

The representative was confident that he could do something that the three other people had told us that it couldn?t be done. He turned out promptly and carried out very effectively on what could be done and he did it. I had a Corian crack at a very awkward place and he was able to repair it. I am very satisfied with his work.
Description of Work: DC Remodeling did the kitchen and bathroom remodeling. They provided us the custom counter tops, custom cabinetry and did all the solid surface work. They also laminated the flooring, did the tile installation and interior finishing for us.
