OUTSTANDING!!! Ken responded to our quote request same day (Monday) and when we called to schedule 3 days later (THursday), he was able to fit us in for the following Tuesday... He and his assistant arrived punctually and completed the entire job in about 4 hours. He was very considerate of my desire to hook up rain barrels to 3 of the downspouts. He very carefully measured and cut AND installed them for us!!! He also left extension downspouts for winter when we take the rain barrels away. I cannot stress enough how impressed I am! Before retiring I worked in the home construction industry for 30 years. I've met with many roofing and gutter people in that time and have to say, Ken Logel Spouting is one of the best examples of a self-owned company I've ever met.. KUDOS to a true professional!!!!

Ken (the owner) came out to give me an estimate. I have water issues around the yard near the house and we explored how to change the location of some of the downspouts. Using his expertise, we arrived at a plan. One downspout was added and another was relocated. I liked his solutions better than those suggested by a different company. He also spent time explaining the options for leaf guards. I appreciated the time he spent with me. And his estimate was less than the other company by a few hundred dollars. (And he was recommended by the landscaping co. which is going to do my drainage work. The owner of that company says he and his family have used Ken several times over the years.) He and 2 helpers came to do the work as scheduled. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing. And I enjoyed that they were cheerful and seemed to work easily together. I liked that they took the initiative to give me a special downspout "end" to give to the drainage guys, which they'll need in order to attach this particular downspout to the underground pipe they're going to install. I also like that they reattached the plastic pipe-things to the end of the downspouts (that direct the water 8' out into the yard) -- and fastened them on with little screws so they don't fall off. They even added a connector piece to the one that used to keep falling off and it now stays on. And one fellow showed me how to unfasten the downspout from the column that I was going to paint the following week, so I wouldn't get paint all over it. (I hadn't been able to paint it prior to the new one being installed.) One snag we ran into was that by changing the location and slope of one downspout, you can now see some space between the gutter and the roof. Not open space, but you can see some of the framing I guess it is. So the next time I paint the house, I'll just paint that part to match the roof or the gutter so it's not so obvious. Also, by changing the location of one of the downspouts, the vertical gutter guard-thing (that prevents the water running off the roof from over-shooting the gutter) was located in a spot that made it look funny because it wasn't at the end of the gutter. I asked Ken if he had a longer one that would extend all the way to the end. I thought it looked quite funny-looking to leave it like it was. He didn't have one and didn't offer a solution. (I'm guessing he was thinking.) After I asked if he could order me one, he thought of a solution and implemented it immediately. He made a longer one himself and mounted it and it looks much better! And no extra charge. After the first heavy rain I noticed that the water was over-shooting the gutter above the patio door. I called and asked if he could install a second vertical-thing there. He said he would, but it might take a week or two before he could come (I live outside of town). But he surprised me and did it just a couple days later and the problem is solved. No extra charge for this either.
Description of Work: Removed all old gutters & downspouts and took them away. Replaced with larger ones (6" instead of 5"). And installed leaf guards on all gutters.
