Four months later how still smells like chemicals used in this disinfection process. Servpro is not willing to tell me what chemicals were used in this disinfection process. I am fearful of its toxicity to my friends family and neighbors.

Excellent. Can't think of how it could have gone better. Heath Swords, the effort coordinator in the field was excellent communicating what we could expect, when crews would be there, what they would do and how, and he was on site every step of the way to oversee the activity. The contracted crews were EXTREMELY fast and efficient, polite and they cleaned up the site behind them better than we expected.

ServPro employees stole over $1,000 worth of personal items from my house. It wasn't just items sitting out. The employees dug through my closets and drawers. They removed items from the basement, an area that did not require any cleaning. At the BBB I was told that because I didn't personally SEE the employees removing items (there were three in the house most of the time), they could not be charged. ServPro's statement that the group is 'bonded' means nothing. The Columbus police declined to question the ServPro employees because, the officer said, the ServPro employees would simply lie, so it would not be worth the department's time to confront them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY--unless you want to sit and watch each worker 100% of the time.

Very positive experience from beginning to end.  Came out immediately to cover the big hole in my house and make sure we were safe, and then quickly/completely handled the rest of the job.  Thorough, professional and friendly, I would recommend them without hesitation.

I had an appointment set up with ServPro for two days before my house (previously a rental) was showing for the first time. They called a week ahead of time to reschedule, saying they were very sorry but could not fit me in until after the holidays. I was panicked. The ServPro lady who phoned was very apologetic but really unable to do anything. She asked if she could recommend another company for me or rescheduled later. I explained my situation and asked to call her back in a little while after I had time to think.
She called me back approximately 15 minutes later. They had just had a cancellation for the day after (one day before the showing). As unhappy as I was about the original cancellation, I was thrilled to get the cleaning scheduled before the showing.
The employees who came to the house were pleasant, courteous and professional. They walked through the house with me and discussed the myriad of stains which ranged from coffee, to dog vomit, to wood polish, to the great unknown. They spelled out realistic expectations for some of the worst stains, especially the wood polish. They even brought both of the possible scents for deoderizer into the house so I could smell them both and pick. (I chose Lemon.) They then proceeded to get out every single stain. Even the furniture polish; even the ground in dog vomit; even the old dog urine. The house smells clean and fresh, like someone has just scrubbed everything. And the carpets look practically new! The ServPro staff even left me a spray bottle of the lemon deoderizer so I can freshen up the house whenever needed.

There was an end table in the basement that was full of CDs, which was never touched. I had to call them to come back and get it. We told them it was run-off water, not sewage. We expressly told them not to throw things away, but they still did. Things disappeared, a bottle of booze disappeared! They had equipment sitting around that they didn't use; it was just total overkill and I know we were charged for that.

Servpro was very responsive even though they were really busy because of recent flooding in the area. They were prompt, courteous and worked efficiently.

Everything went great. I had a raccoon in my attic and ServPro came out and removed insulation, cleaned it, and put new insulation back in my attic.

First off, I want to say that I write reviews as honestly as possible to give folks reading and idea of what they're getting into. This is NOT a scathing review, nor am I trying to complain. Simply put it, I am not angry.
So I needed to hire Servpro. Why? Why does anyone...they have a water problem. Mine was/is a fairly innocuous problem as it consisted of a small space and these guys know how to do large spaces. My initial impression is mostly what grinds my gears.
I scheduled an estimation appointment (~15 minutes) with a 4 hour window, that's right, four. I know the business quite well, but I also know how to use good scheduling techniques. Four hour windows for simple estimate work is just not acceptable and never will be. I don't care how big your company is or what your excuse. The nice side is, they do offer a 30 minute call ahead. So, maybe this does not affect you and you can leave work 30 minutes ahead and make it home in time. My four hour window was 10am-2pm and I waited at work for my 30 minute call ahead. The call did not happen. So at 2:15, I called Servpro and they were able to tell me that the appointment would not be happening today. They did waive the $75 estimate fee/deposit because of their failure, but they get a ding for professionalism and courtesy.
The rescheduled estimate appointment itself went smoothly. The estimator was courteous and funny. She told me that I  (and my insurance company) would receive my quote the following day around lunch. She seemed to have a good idea how long these things take. The quote was ready two days later. Not a huge deal for me, but timeliness, here, and managing expectations takes a ding.
The quotation came through very high. I had a sense that this was just because I was going through insurance. However, Servpro's pricing is set. It just isn't very cheap. The quote was broken down thoroughly so I could see where the money was going. The men who would eventually do the work follow each line of the quotation to the 'T'. That is Servpro policy. Love it or not.
The best thing about Servpro is that they are so large, they are able to schedule the work quickly and get started. The two gents who showed up to do the work were mid to late 20s and seemed to lack a general sense professionalism. This doesn't usually bother me because it made them more conversational. They knew what they had to do (from the quote) and did it in the time they told me they would. My expectations were managed accordingly. My only problem with their work was they left a few bits and pieces on the floor and ground outside my house. Just a few, and if you have ever hired a contractor they mostly do the same thing.
Lastly is the pick-up/monitoring of the equipment that gets left in your house. Servpro is going to want back in a few times, so you are going to get another few four-hour windows. You already know how I feel about those. In our case, they came back twice. Once to check and once to pick up. The first time, as far as I know, things went smoothly. I was not at this appointment. The second time, Servpro did not keep their appointment window and instead came late. The gents who showed up to get the equipment were not professional, but they did their job.
All in all not the worst experience, but I assume this is their daily routine. Lacking some professionalism, lacking timeliness, but getting the job done. For such a large organization I expect some professionalism outside of wearing Servpro polos. Would I hire them again? If I had a choice, no.

They came out and gave me a quote for cleaning, replacing drywall, painting and replacing fixtures.  They drug out a 2 day job into 6 weeks.  They provided me with the worst, most unskilled folks they had on staff and I had to fix things after they left.  Totally unprofessional, poor work......horrible experience

ServPro of Northwest Columbus did a great job assisting us with a water damage issue.  A pipe burst flooding our kitchen and dining area and into the basement.  The damage was discovered at 8:00 PM on a Thursday and I called ServPro at 9:00 PM.  They had a representative at our home by 11:30 PM and he stayed until 2:30 AM making emergency repairs. We worked closely with ServPro over the next several weeks during the drying and reconstruction phase of the project and they were fantastic to deal with.  Every time I called a person answered before the second ring.  They were on time with all appointments and returned follow-up calls as scheduled.  They were courteous and extremely professional.  They know their business well.  They allowed us to get our house back in shape within three weeks which we're grateful for.   I cannot say enough about our positive experience
with this company.

Serve Pro was very professional and worked quickly to resolve our problem. We called them at 6 PM on a Monday night and they were at the house from 8 PM to 11 PM cleaning up water from a busted pipe. They left fans on and followed up several times over the next couple weeks to make sure things were dry and we were happy with the service.
I would certainly use them again.

Punctionality was good.  ServPro came to the house several times to check drying equipment, etc.  After things were dry, they had to replace some of the flooring and did a reasonably good job.  Would use them again but hope we never have to.

When I reported missing the first item, the small magnifying glass, the ServPro staff just said:  "Keep looking".  This phrase was repeated later when other items turned up missing.  ServPro has never followed the terms of its contract and reimbursed me for those items reported before the due date on its contract.

Frankly, for a company that advertises 24/7 service, they sure don't seem to work much outside of regular business hours.  I called them at 10:00 in the evening when I discovered the water in my basement.  They didn't arrive the next day until the late afternoon - even though I was supposed to be the first call of the day.  I was told that the office opens up between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and that I would be first on the list.  Not true at all.  When I called the next day at noon to see why they hadn't arrived yet, I was told that I should feel lucky because other people had worse situations than I did which meant that I wasn't as much of a priority.  OK fine my house didn't burn down.  You got me there.  But I have an infant to care for, a basement full of water, and was home alone.  It was still an inconvenience and I should still matter.
When someone finally showed up, the tech did a little bit of water extraction, set up two dehumidifiers, and a couple of fans.  Of course he forgot to set up the dehumidifiers properly (I went downstairs a few hours later to check on everything and found the dehumidifiers spitting out water back onto the floor they were drying instead of draining into a drain).  This caused me to have to leave the equipment an extra day.  Then came the inspection.  Because I have a security system, I had to come home and meet the tech in the middle of the day.  Again, for a company that advertises 24/7 service, they only had times available from 10 AM to 3 PM for me to meet them at my home.  I had to do this twice.  Once for an inspection and a second time for the pickup of equipment.  In total I missed a full day of work waiting for them at my home, and about a half day between the two subsequent visits.
All in all, for over $800 (and all out of pocket because my homeowners didn't cover sump pump failure), I could have purchased several top of the line dehumidifiers and called it a day.  So, long story short, if you have a small water problem, don't call them.  Just go to your local home improvement store and purchase a couple of dehumidifiers.  It will be cheaper and faster.

They were great.  They were terrific and just great.  It was a horrible experience and I tend to throw up many times when it is addressed to my mind.  I don’t remember how much I spent on their services.  All their prices are high.  I don’t know if they were similar to others in the field but I felt like it was a lot of money.  I will use their services again in the future but heaven forbid I don’t have to.

The experience was great from the start.  The initial estimate visit went great, because the individual not only was knowledgeable, but she was also very respectable and fast.  After our insurance company approved their estimate, Servpro was back in no time to actually start the work.  Two very courteous and knowledgeable individuals came to my house and explained everything they were going to do to ensure everything was dry.  They worked fast and professionally.  From that point, they tore out some of the drywall and carpet.  They placed their air moving equipment in the basement and started them up.  The equipment was somewhat noisy, but you're moving massive amount of air around, so I do see how one would avoid being noisy in that matter.  The equipment ran for a few days, and every day someone from Servpro came to see if the wood was dry yet.  After a few days, the wood was dry enough to their specifications and they removed the equipment.
