Very happy with work.  I had taken my car to the dealer and was quoted $40 more.

Every time we had our vehicle serviced we were pleased with the results.  We do not have as much experience with the newer mechanics at Al Rite, but mostly our review would be of Dave who helped us from prior to 2000 through 2007.  He was always reasonably priced in his services and very knowledgeable and efficient at diagnosing our vehicles' problems.  My father also used Dave for services during this time frame and was equally pleased.

***Update-05/06*** After having my van back since Friday I've noticed sputtering again. We took our van on a longer trip and sure enough the same issue of sputtering came back along with the check engine light.

**Update - 05/07** I brought the van back in to be checked out. He put it back on the computer to find out why the check engine light was back on. Upon looking more he found that two of the new spark plugs had cracks in them. He figured that he might have put them in at the wrong angle and they could have cracked then. He called the auto parts store and got the replacements. Got them put in quickly. Checked the computer again and revved the engine to make sure that it was running correctly. Everything in good order now and it didn't cost me anything extra. I appreciate that he fixed the issue and didn't argue the point - just got the work done and got us back on the road.

Our van was sputtering, had an engine light on, and was making noises
when I turned. I had gotten an estimate from another garage who quoted
me around $1,600 for all the work to be done.
At Al-Rite I was quoted for the same work but the price was much lower! While there for
the estimate the mechanic also was kind enough to stick a plug on my car
to stop the sputtering and didn't charge me for it (since it was used
and would still need to be changed).
 
I also got one more quote
before deciding to go to them for the work - the other garage said I
needed work done that wasn't needed (tie rod) and stuff that needed to
be done they said it didn't need - like a tune up and a power steering
pump. The estimate at the other garage ended up being about $100 less
without the tie rod, but didn't include a power steering pump which I
was sure I needed.
I felt much more comfortable going to Al-Rite
Automotive for my repairs and while the price was a bit higher than the
last place, I also realized that I would be getting the right work done and then wouldn't need to return later for more work that should have been done.
I dropped my van off at 9:30am, but I didn't have a ride, and they were
kind enough to drop me and my children off at the library so we would
have something to do while waiting.
The van was completed at 3pm and again I was offered a ride back since I hadn't been able to find a
ride to get my van. This was a huge help! My van is running wonderful
now and I feel like I got the best value since they did the work that
was needed and the price was affordable compared to the first garage I
went to.
I will defiantly use them again when we have issues
with our van or even for a tune up or oil change.  I like when I feel
like I can talk honestly with the mechanic and know that he is doing
what needs to be done, and nothing more.

My daughter has a car while she is away at school in Wooster.  Her 1990 BMW wouldn't start, and we had just changed the battery in the fall.  She got a jump and got it to AL-Rite in Wooster.  She said they were so nice when she brought it in, diagnosed the problem and got back to her quickly.  It was a reasonable price, and the car was back in business quickly.  We really appreciated having a highly recommended place for her to go when she needed help!  Thanks AL-RITE!!

My daughter is in college in Ohio and found out from AAA that she needed a new alternator when her car's battery died.  I'm in Minneapolis, and called our auto service shop to ask about the price. When I called Al-Rite, based on their Angie's List reviews, they quoted me the same rate.  I told them I didn't want my daughter to come in and get charged for analysis, and that she couldn't afford additional things, and they were good about giving me the rate, saying that they'd confirm that an alternator was needed but wouldn't charge her extra for that. It turned out to be a bit higher because my daughter had a different year car than they quoted, but they took care of things quickly and seemed to know her and the car and the deal when she came in.  I felt good about the work they performed and so did she.

Initially, just in for GOF & exhaust manifold gasket, but Dave saw that one of my fuel tank support straps had rusted thru & his experience w/ these Dodge tank straps prompted him to replace them (which is quite a job on the ol' rust bucket Dodge)....I was glad that he took the initiative to think about my safety... I wasn't too concerned about it, (just one more thing to worry about) but he told me that they've seen tanks fall out of Dodge pickups before...Minimal charge on parts & labor ---One less thing to worry about for me!!!  These guys know their stuff & do excellent work...Did I mention the GREAT prices???  Yes, I did--but it's worth repeating   : )

Al-Rite Auto has been my "go to" guys for all my general auto service needs for years...These guys are great...They're kinda busy (because they do excellent work) but I can usually schedule an appt within 1-2 days of my initial call.
 
I strayed once & went to another shop out in Guerne, OH & really got hosed...
