Ultimate Overlay, Decorative Concrete Resurfacing

After I experienced a septic tank back-up in my basement recreation room, I decided that I had to replace the carpet with something that would not be ruined by future water or sewer problems.  I was referred to Ultimate Overlay by a company that also resurfaced concrete floors, but they only did garage floors.  I took the tip and I am glad I did.  They gave me a free in home consultation, showed me an album of pictures of past jobs, brought samples, and explained the process, which entails prepping the floor, putting on a basecoat that ensures that  old stains, etc. will not show up in the end result.  They then apply the color/colors that I chose. They then applied an anti-skid coating, and I got to choose whether it would be glossy. I chose the acid wash with the colors of clay and greys.  Each step or coating, had to dry overnight before the next coating could be applied. I could hardly smell any odors, which surprised me. They were at my house four or five consecutive days, about four hours each day. They  arrived promptly and worked unbelievably quietly.  They were courteous and clean, and always went straight to work.  What they do is very labor intensive. The end result is beautiful!  I will not have to fear damaged carpet again.  It has a ten year guarantee and I love the way it feels when I walk barefoot. I would recommend Ultimate Overlay to anyone!
