The cost was probably more than normal because I got a whole year of heart worm and then 6 months of flea & tick, plus the shots. It was pretty expensive. The vet, Dr. Gano is very good. He is very knowledgeable and he is so gentle with the pets. With the owners, he has a good bedside manner. I think other vets charge a little bit more for the same service. I think he is very reasonable for what he charges. I don?t think he really makes that much on the heart worm medicine or anything like that and the shots.

We have been really happy with Dr. Gano. He has been in business for a long time. I called and we had an appointment right away. We didn?t really have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. He is very professional and his staff is very good. It was pretty fast. I like the continuity for the service. They always have the same people working there. Sometimes we get a different vet depending on their there. I think they are all well trained. I think it is a good sign when you have the same people and continuity all the time.

He is very good about working with 4H kids at a very reasonable price. He will come to your house, explain what he is doing,

They give you good preventative advice and don't try to sell you more than you need.

Dr Gano has one additional vet (Dr Carey) and sometimes a visiting third vet; also he has a complete staff of assistants. All are very good and quot;pet peopleand quot; and seem to have and quot;magic handsand quot; in dealing with both my pets and the other pets I see in the clinic. They can handle my own cats better than I can.
Prior to prescribing medication or treatment options, they usually start with the least costly and then explain what the difference is between this and the higher cost options. For instance, if your pet needs anti-infection medicine, they might explain that a pill given by mouth every day for a week might be less costly, but a one time shot is also an option but would cost more. In other words, they don't just jump in and give your pet the most expensive option without first advising you of the lower cost options.

They have good service and they all are very good with the animals.
