We contacted him on a Sunday and he came out the same day for an estimate. He said he would be back when there was a break in the weather. He was able to do the work the next day. He was very professional.

I had previously (about 6 months ago) had some work done on the roof around the chimney. I had noticed a growing water spot on my ceiling, right where the ceiling and wall met, on the wall side of the chimney stack.  I knew there was some kind of minor water issue up on the roof area, but could never see any water dripping.  All I knew was I had this spot on my ceiling that kept getting bigger, and the exposed chimney in my attic looked wet whenever it rained.  The first guy who did the work was essentially a friend of a friend; he had some experience with roofing, and knew what he was talking about, but didn't have the time or the equipment to do the job right.  In fact, the patched-up shingles weren't even the same color as the original shingles.
** Enter Hurricane Sandy. ** Man, did it rain.  And man, did I have water coming in around my chimney.  I had one of my neighbors, who happens to be a roofer, take a look at the roof, and the chimney area in the attic, and the spot on my ceiling.  He couldn't figure out what the problem would be, and never got back to me with a potential solution like we had discussed.  4 days into the hurricane, I had plaster peeling from the ceiling.  I could see rainwater running down my wall.  There were spots in my attic right around the exposed chimney that were literally raining.  I had buckets and pans and towels up there, trying to keep as much water away as I could.  That's when I turned to Angie's List and found Erik Samac.
I called Erik in the morning and he came out within a few hours.  I was at work, but he called me and told me what he thought was the problem.  He did a few things to try to fix the problem and told him to call him in a few days and let him know if I was still seeing water or not.  Well, that night things were no better.  Granted, there was a hurricane outside, but I was getting a little panicky over this water that was just pouring into my house.  I called Erik back and explained what was happening.  He came back a day or two later (I can't remember when, exactly), and got up in the attic, and was able to tell me everything that he thought was wrong.  Since we were up in the attic, I had him take a look at the ventilation for my bathroom fan, since that had been a thorn in my side, too.
That evening, Erik emailed me a quote for the work.  I accepted and he told me he would contact me to schedule a date.  A few weeks later, after the weather had cleared, he was able to come out and get to work, tearing shingles off and ripping out old rotted wood.  Once the rotted wood was removed and the attic exposed, Erik called me outside to take a look.  He explained what he was doing to fix the problem.  Erik was able to get everything except a couple of minor details done in one day.  He came back the next morning, just like he said he would, and finished the work he said he would finish in the timeframe that he estimated.  He told me what to expect, he entertained my questioning about the overall condition of my roof, and he even suggested a few areas I should keep an eye on.
Erik is great at communicating through email.  This is 2012 - he is technologically up-to-date and I appreciate that.
Erik is very personable.
The new venting on the bathroom vent has made a noticable difference.
I can sleep at night knowing that my roof isn't leaking anymore.
I am very happy and I highly recommend Erik.

Great initial conversation, explained everything he would look for.  Checked out the roof and advised on a new roof with extra vents.  They began the work and worked throughout one day.  Cleanup in the yard was thorough.  The only thing I didn't think of and wish had been mentioned was to cover our items in the attic.  We are still sweeping off tar and bits of old roof when we pull stuff out of storage.  They could have reminded me when they saw our storage items exposed after the first bits of roof were torn off.    But, no damage was done from it, it's just messy. All our personal belonging are fine. This also did no't reflect the quality of work, just an FYI.

Eric came out the day after calling and found the cause to our leaky roof within the first 10 minutes. He clearly explained what the issue was and fixed it the next day. They had to remove existing shingles to replace the facia metal\wood and did so without damaging them (so we didn't incur extra costs). Did a great job and didn't recommend anything that we didn't need, will definitely use them for future work.

Erik was the first of 3 roofers to respond to my calls for help - within an hour. Gave me free inspection and fixed price for repairs, and did work the neat week after buying required even honored the Angie's List promo for card. Honest and thorough!

I called someone else but they did not show for two weeks. I called SUPREME ROOFING and they repaired the roof within two days of my call. Still waiting for the awning to be replaced, about four weeks now.

He did a great job, and the price was very reasonable. I did not inspect the work, but the leaks that I was experiencing have stopped. He was real knowledgeable. I would use him again in the future; in fact, I am having him do some other work for me too.

The guys were punctual and did the work in a reasonable time frame. They were much more responsive to my questions and needs than contractors usually are. Excellent job.

I was out of town when Erik called to say that he was coming out to work and my husband was at work.  When my husband got home from work, he immediately checked out the bay roof and was absolutely thrilled with the outcome.  Erik had done a fabulous job.  The roof looks so much better and best yet, we've had quite a bit of rain and there are no more leaks.  I highly recommend Erik.

He did the work while I was at work. He left the bill and a self-addressed envelope with postage in my mailbox, along with a gift card to Home Depot. Everyday since the repair, when it rains or snows, I check the attic area where the leak occurred and it is always dry. I would definitely do business with him again.

very impressive company - One of the main reasons I hired them is they still hand nail the shingles, which in my experience holds better than staples. They came in the morning, and tore off the old shingles. They cleaned up very well - did not find any debris in the yard after they were finished. They prepped with 30 lb roofing felt, and aluminum drip edge, even going the extra effort to use larger drip edge in the front to cover over where the previous owner had left gaps and rusty nail heads from poorly installed aluminum fascia covers. The shingles were hand-nailed, and nicely trimmed on the ends (straight and even). He added some roof vents as well to improve ventilation. I was also impressed with the guy on the ground - when he was not bringing material up to the roof, he was cleaning up the job site, and going around with a magnet, making sure no stray nails were left in the yard or on the driveway. Excellent work, excellent price, I will call him first the next time I need a roof done.

After showing my aunt around the house I just bought, I discovered a leak that was coming through the ceiling. Since this was a Saturday (and the weather report predicted rain the next day), I needed someone to come out that day, and I looked for someone who performed emergency services. Erik not only installed a temporary patch on my roof that afternoon (flashing work done by previous owners was inadequate, which caused the leak), he also cleared out some debris from my gutters and even provided some recommendations for drying out my attic and crawlspaces (insulation completed by previous owners was also improperly installed). For $30.00, I received much more than I paid for. I'm looking forward to his help in the spring when we can complete the repairs.

THE NEW ROOF HAS SUCCESSFULLY WITHSTOOD REPEATED EXPOSURE TO HIGH WINDS WITH NO APPARENT ILL EFFECTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND MR. SAMAC TO ANGIE'S LIST AS A RESULT. HOWEVER, SINCE HE GENERALLY WORKS ALONE THIS MUST BE RECOGNIZED WHEN SCHEDULING A PROJECT. THE RESULTING WORKMANSHIP WAS VERY GOOD.
