Larry and his crew are a very professional team of workers. Everything was top notch with Pro Tree Service Inc., from my first phone call to them for the estimate, scheduling the job, and the completion of tree removal and stump grinding. Everything was done on time and as expected. All the workers were very professional and polite! They completely cleaned everything up and hauled away all debris. Thanks for a great job well done!!

Fantastic work!  It took a bit of time to get scheduled because they are very busy but it was worth the wait.  
I have a fence around my yard and needed 2 trees removed that were dying.  The trees were against the deck and towered over my house.  They removed the trees without disturbing the fence and deck.  They even used a leaf blower to clean up my deck!
The front yard needed a huge tree cleaned up from the dead branches and another tree removed.  
They put plywood down to prevent lawn damage and the yard now looks great.  
I highly recommend Pro Tree.

This was the first time I used them. Their price was very good.

I called 10 tree removal companies and only 5 responded and were able to provide a quote. The other 5 did not want to touch it since it was very labor intensive to remove. Pro-Tree was the most responsive and the most reasonably priced. Samantha at the company scheduled the removal time with me kept me up to date in regards to the timing of the appointment and if there was going to be any delays with the arrival of the crew. Larry and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would and got right to work. It was a very difficult removal since the tree was overhanging my shed. They had to use pulleys and ropes to lower the sections of the tree so it would not damage the shed. As their ad states "they are experts in difficult tree removal". The Lake Metroparks are also one of their clients so I knew if the Metroparks use them then they must know what they are doing.They started at 2 and were done by 5. They did an excellent job cleaning up the site when they were done. One important thing to keep in mind when picking a tree contractor is to make sure they are licensed and that they have workman's comp coverage. Workman's comp is very important for a homeowner since it removes your liability as a homeowner if one of the workers gets injured. Pro-Tree provided copies of both documents on their quote to show they had both. I did not have to ask for it.. None of the other companies provided this info as part of their quote. DO NOT HIRE A COMPANY IF THEY CANNOT PROVIDE HIS INFO! I would definitely use Pro-Tree again! VERY PLEASED!

This is the last quote I received for the removal of a large tree, and by far the least expensive.
First, let me define "large". I had read several other reviews where people
reference "large" trees. They must not have been as big as they were
tall, because all of my quotes were MUCH bigger. When I say large I mean
40+ feet tall and about 5-6 feet diameter; a very old silver maple that
was dying due to old age.
I paid $1800.
It included tree removal/hauling away/stump grinding of the large tree.
They additionally took down a really large branch from a tree that overhangs my yard, and took down a couple of dead pine trees for my neighbor that would eventually have fallen on my house if not otherwise removed for only an extra $100.
On top of all that, they allowed us to keep most of the wood to use ourselves, something that other providers wanted to charge us for. We have to split the wood ourselves, but by the time we're done, we'll likely have firewood that values half of what we paid to have the tree removed!

Went very well. Crew cleaned up great and owner came by to inspect.

During the process, my neighbors fence was disassembled. I called that Friday and have made at least three other calls since then and I have been told that my message would be relayed. I have not heard anything from them about coming out to fix the fence and it has now been over two months. I am not asking for a new fence, I just want them to put it back together so that I can pay them.

Update - Wednesday, 7/11/12, the owner called and asked if they could come out to repair the fence. They came within an hour, and reassembled the fence to your satisfaction.

I called Pro Tree for an estimate at the beginning of May. Within a few days, I had their written estimate in my mailbox. After receiving a few other estimates, I selected Pro Tree because they were the lowest and also didn't require that I ask my neighbors to use their yard for large equipment. I called Pro Tree to let them know that I would like to schedule the service and they had an opening 5 days later. They showed up on the day and at the time they said they would, did exactly what I had asked them to and charged me exactly what they said they would. It was a very large tree so the five-man crew was at my house for about 8 or 9 hours. Larry (the owner) and his crew were fun to have around and did really nice work. I would definitely use these guys again.

I have nothing really to compare their price to but I did not feel that it was out of bounds. They seemed professional. There were young men who came to do the work and I wasn't crazy about that. One of the young men who were taking the trimmings out front might have put in a dent in one of my garage gutters because the branches were hanging over the garage, which is why I had them removed. Somewhere along the line it must have fallen on one of the gutters but I just let it go. They did a satisfactory job on the trimming. They were responsive to my requests. They came out to give me the estimate and then they came out when they said they would to do the work. They were good. I would probably use them again because I wasn't dissatisfied with their work.

While it took a long time for the company to return my phone call, once the person came out with the estimate, it was only a matter of a few days before the job was completed. The dead limbs were removed and the ground around and below the trees was cleaned up.

They were early the day they trimmed the tree. The day I called for the estimate was the same day they came by to look at the tree and answer my questions. Reggie, one of the guys who trimmed the tree, apologized for being early and asked if the service was satisfactory upon completion.

JOHN IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THIS COMPANY IS VERY FAIR IN THEIR PRICING. COMPANY IS VERY GOOD TO WORK WITH.

I HAVE SOME TREES IN MY YARD THAT ARE BETWEEN 60-70 FEET TALL. THEY CLEANED UP ALL THE DEAD BRANCHES ON THOSE! BEFORE THEY LEFT, THEY RAKED UP ALL THE LEAVES!! THEY ARE A REALLY NICE BUNCH OF GUYS! IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION, THEY TAKE THE TIME TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. ONE OF THEM IS AN ARBORIST AND SO THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THE GENTLEMAN THAT THEY SENT OUT TO DO THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY GOOD TOO!
