"Thank you for trusting DLF Electric with your electrical needs. Bob & I are here to help you with any future projects. Don,"
"Thank you for your repeated business. We look forward to helping you again in the future. Don & Bob"
In their defense, I did not call them back to complain and ask them to re-hang the tv set, but they also saw the finished product and were ok with it. For the amount of money we paid, I was disappointed with their work.
"Sorry to hear you were unhappy. Had you called me, I would have sent someone back to re-level the TV. We installed a recessed duplex receptacle, CATV cable and phone line above a fireplace. Damage to the wall was discussed prior to you accepting our proposal. We made it very clear that someone else would have to repair the wall. There were some problems with the wall bracket you provided. Had you called me, I would have sent some to back to re-level the TV at no charge. Also, 3-additional outlets on 3-dedicated circuits were also installed at the same time. There was no mention if you were happy or not with those. My guys are very good at their jobs running outlets.(just check the other reviews) Hanging TV's is usually performed by technicians who install them for a living. I'm sorry there was a problem with the TV. However, you did not offer us a chance to make it right. Don, DLF Electric"
As far as service goes, Bob is excellent. He did what I wanted and does excellent work. He is personable and gets work done efficiently.
My major complaint is with billing. The owner adds a surcharge for doing the work. It seems little more than a way to extract money for the company. I understand service fees for estimates or if the total job is less than what would be a minimal fee. It is frustrating to pay for service and then pay a service fee on top of the service. I would not use this company again because of their pricing structure.
"I am delighted to read that each time Bob came out you described his work as excellent. Pleasant, helpful, courteous, personable and gets work done efficiently were also used. I was disappointed that you feel our policy of charging a service call fee is my way of "extracting money for the company". A service fee helps keep pricing per hour down, allows us to offer free estimates, explain customers their options and helps to cover our overhead. You were aware our policy and paid it previously. What has changed your opinion? now?"
"Thanks for taking time to report how happy you were with Bob. I always enjoy hearing the guys are doing a good job. Please call us for any future electrical projects . Don"
"Thank you for allowing us to help upgrade the wiring in your home. The job came in on time and below the original estimate. We are always available if you need any future work. Don"
"glad we were able to help. thanks for the nice review."
"I'm happy to hear when a homeowner feels my guys did a great job. Especially when we are almost neighbors! (Just a couple streets away) Please call us anytime you need additional electrical work. Don"
Thanks for the great job .
"Thanks for allowing us to help update your home. New energy saving lights really make a difference while saving $$$ on your electric bill. I am always happy to hear TJ & Bob did a great job. I also love it when a customer notices the guys offered them options & then cleaned up when the job was finished. We look forward to working with again."
This is a busy company but one I would use again and recommend. The guys that did the actual work were friendly and efficient. They offered ideas and suggestions on a couple of things. I bought much of the hardware (lights and outlet boxes) and they did the work to install. I smile every time I go into my kitchen and turn on the lights.
"I'm happy to hear the entire project makes you smile. TJ & Bob made several trips to make sure you had the just the right "Look" for the makeover. They are willing to help out with any more projects you have. Thanks for all your business. Don"
"Thanks for allowing us to correct electrical issues in the home you sold. We are available if you need us in your new place. Don"
"Thanks for allowing us to work at your home as well as the referral to your son for addition work. Don"
"Thanks for the nice comments. We look forward to serving your electrical needs in the future."
everything up and running smoothly. Three days worth of work and they answered my questions, eased my concerns and were a joy to work with. After every new outlet installation, they cleaned up after themselves and gave a full report on the work that was completed. The owner paid a visit just to make sure we were happy with the job and to make sure our questions were answered. We will be sure to use DLF Electric again for future projects, we couldn't be happier with their work!
"Thanks for the fantastic review. TJ & Bob pushed hard to complete your panel & service upgrades as well as numerous outlets throughout your home in just 3-days. I'm happy when customers point out that my guys answered all your questions & cleaned up after themselves. We look forward to working on any future electrical projects you have."
TJ called me back within a day of my initial voice mail and came out a day later to check out the work. I actually ended up asking about a lot of future work based on my initial conversations so I decided to start "small" and go from there. TJ gave me advice on code, future projects and methods they would use to run more outlets both inside my home and to my garage, in addition to the work I originally called him out for. He wrote up a complete estimate all on all the jobs and actually spent a good deal of time here explaining all of it. I ended up just choosing the original work (a new external outlet for a hot tub, and a fix to a broken switch for an outdoor lightpost) since that was the most critical. TJ also recommended bringing an old external outlet up to code by enclosing it in a proper box. He was very professional and thorough in all respects.
TJ came with a co-worker within about 3 days and they were done in under an hour. The external outlets look great and I feel better about plugging in outdoor devices - especially the tub that wasn't fully weather-protected before!
I'll be calling DLF back for the rest of the work, I'm sure. I have zero complaints. I feel the cost was reasonable, especially considering the bulk of the cost was in the hardware itself.
"Thanks for your review. I enjoyed hearing that TJ spent time answering your questions & making sure you understood your options. We look forward to working on your future projects."
"We were recommended by this homeowner's Realtor. Upgrading panels & services are our specialty. Mr [member name removed] hired us and made the appointment. The work passed inspection. There was a little confusion after the job was completed but a few phone call straightened everything out."
"Thanks for calling DLF Electric, Inc. This call turned out to be a broken water line on a dishwasher. We were able to turn off both the power and the water line. Luckly we can out at night when the homeowner call or the broken waterline would have caused even more damage to the floor joists below."
All the things that DLF Electric Inc did went very well. I had issues in my electrical system with the fuse boxes. In fact I had 4 fuse boxes between the house and garage. They were the only electricians that spent the time to look at the wires inside of the fuse boxes before I accepted their estimate. Other much more expensive and most A. List reviewed electricians did not do this at all. They were afraid to even open the fuse box covers until they had the job contracted. The DLF folks were looking at circuits and wire sizes in the boxes all without even knowing if they would get the job.
They arrived on time on the date agreed to and solved all my electrical issues. Fixed problems in the kitchen with the microwave being wired to the ceiling lights, the basement washer being wired to the kitchen counter plugs and many other such bad issues. All of these were completely fixed. I now have one circuit breaker box in the house and one circuit breaker box in the garage. I am down to 2 breaker boxes now. They fixed the grounding issues I had, they installed GFI plugs in my basement and garage.
I would hire them again with no hesitation and can totally recommend that anyone that needs an electrician needs to contact these folks first before you call the most expensive and most reviewed (A. List) electricians. Just because you have the most reviews on Angie's List does not mean that you are the best or the most trusted. I have learned that. DLF Electric was also the lowest in cost electrician that I got estimates from, but they were truly the best as far as what they provided. I trust them completely and highly recommend them A+++ as far as I can state.
"Thanks for hiring DLF Electric, Inc. You knew exactly what you wanted when you called, and told that to TJ & Bob. There were no change orders allowing the job to move along smoothly. The Building Inspector showed up the next day and signed off on our work. This was the perfect job with a great customer ! I look forward to working for you in the future."
