Thaxton installed a new roof and gutters/downspouts in 2015. They were friendly and easy to work with at the time. Since then, as we've had other contractors performing various jobs, we've had explained to us that they used a sloppy install method for the ridge vent, used an outdated technology for the gutters, and most importantly, they didn't install drip edge. The last two winters we've had water coming in behind the gutters and getting into the walls as the snow melts. Thaxton came out and told me it was a freak storm and there was nothing they could do. Multiple contractors have now impressed upon me how obvious it is that my house needs drip edge due to the narrow design of the eves. Thaxton either openly misled me or didn't know that was the issue. I'm not sure which is worse. If you are going to use them, make sure you fully understand how roofs work because I wouldn't trust them that they will give you the right product for your house.

Outstanding company to work with. Pat, Barbara & team were responsive to every question we had and followed through with all commitments made. The entire process was pain-free, and we had NO clean-up issues, our dogs were able to run in the yard after they were done without concerns about nails, etc!! Also, the new roofing on the house & garage looks great!

Very pleased with our experience.  We had a decent amount of rain in the period leading up to our install, which meant our date had to be pushed back because they were unable to complete customers in front of us due to the weather.  They were great about keeping me up to date periodically as the schedule changed.  Very flexible on meeting times and price was as agreed upon up front.
New roof looks great and is a nice improvement to our home.

I called Thaxton roofing on Monday 4-20 at about 8:30 a.m. They were here at my door before noon ready to complete the repair. Unbelievable! I knew they were an excellent roofing company already. They had installed a roof on a previous home as well as this one and my mom's.  They are an excellent group of workers.  They are professional, reliable, punctual and of course provide quality workmanship. I have full confidence in them. I will continue to use them and have always recommended them to friends and family.

They did show up promptly and everything seems to be dry so I think everything is fine now. This particular time I called them, they came out. They did what they were supposed to do and then they left.

They were very helpful at making arrangements since it is a jointly owned building for not only the billing but working with each owner to acquire signatures prior to the work starting. The work was done as quickly as possible with the weather permitting. I was slightly frustrated at the amount of dirt left on my patio but overall the clean-up was done well. I can not speak to the time frame they worked each day because they had already cleaned up each day when I arrived home but I could see work had been completed each day. I have had no problems with the current roof at this time.

They were prompt to get started, explained things to me well and helped me wok through what I wanted for my roof replacement. I was called when they were unable to make it out due to weather and they cleaned up well. Entire crew was a good group of guys and I enjoyed having them complete my roof replacement. Work was quality, job was explained well, and things were cleaned up well.

Of all the roofing companies we got quotes from, Mr. Thaxton was the only one that came out to the job himself as opposed to sending a slick salesman. He has many years experience roofing and was very knowledgeable. He helped us select a good shingle for the roof and had a crew over within a matter of 2 weeks to install. Roof was on in 2 days and the crew cleaned up the job site nicely. When we later had a hail storm in 2010, Thaxtoncame back out to inspect the roof for free and ensure that it was holding up over time.

The roofers arrived a day late due to rainy weather. Crew leader Brian, told us it would take just 2 days for the complete job of tear off and replacement of 32 square of roofing.

They started at 8:30 on Monday and ended before 5 the first day and were done by 5 on Tuesday. My wife appreciated the bankers hours since some of the roofers in our neighborhood worked into the night and on weekends to complete the job. I was home the entire time checking the progress periodically.

Pat knows all of the local building inspectors and is knowledgeable of the variations in codes from city to city. For example Avon requires 6 feet of ice guard where most others are 3.

They have a six man crew who completed the work quietly and efficiently ( 4 of whom are Thaxtons ). No loud talking no radios or foul language. They have only this crew and they have been in business for a long time. No subcontractors. A small, local and efficient company who provides quality work. They cleaned up very well after each day and checked for nails twice over the whole perimeter.

Thaxton Roofing and Tinning Co. did a very good job. They communicated very well and the job was reasonably priced. They had problems in cleaning the chimney and hence, referred us to another person, who did a good job. I will use their services in future.

Mr. Thaxton came out, went up on the roof to evaluate whether or not we needed repairs or a new roof. We had been having some leakage. He recommended a new roof since our old one was 27 years old. We signed the contract about a week later and they completed the job the following week. The crew was courteous, cleaned up at the end of the day and a pleasure to work with. We really liked that the owner was so "hands on", visiting both days and doing the final check to make sure the job was perfect. We have received many compliments on our new roof and how it really improves the look of our house. We couldn't be happier.

Two of the roofs began leaking within a year of their completion. Thaxton did look at the roofs when the leaking first began and said that whatever was causing the problem was not due to their work. Turns out they were wrong. The condo association hired another roofer to make the repairs. It turns out that the drains in the roofs were improperly installed by Thaxton and that was causing the leaks. Their poor workmanship caused damage to the interior of some units. The roofer that ultimately fixed the problem was Runyon. I know of this situation as I am on the condo board and also have one of the units that suffered water damage to ceilings, walls and carpeting.

Great experience. Thaxton came out and identified the issue with my flashing. Provided me with options on how the issue could be fixed. The estimate they provided me was exactly what the final bill was. They came out had the job done in a few hours and cleaned up very well after the job was done.

I was very impressed with Thaxton Roofing and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Very professional.

Smoothly. I called on a Wednesday, and the work was completed by Friday. We had used Thaxton a few years prior to re-roof our garage and also replace other shingles. Both times we have been more than satisfied with the price and the responsiveness.

We would absolutely hired this crew again! They arrived on the morning scheduled and completed the job in roughly 2-1/2 days. Clean up of roofing debris and nails from the yard and driveway was excellent, both during the job and at the end of the project. At our request, they did a minor painting job to some exposed flashing so that it blended in with the roofing better. The project cost was over $1,000 less than two competitors that quoted the work, so we were very pleased with the final result.

They always do a great job at a great price. They are in demand, so sometimes you have to wait a week or two if it's not an emergency but they are worth any wait.

Thaxton promptly returned my voice mail information request the same day. With information in hand I was able to decide quickly and schedule the work. Thaxton timely and successfully completed the job. I have used Thaxton for roofing matters and gutter cleaning in the past and will continue doing so.

They did like a flat garage roof for me, it was not a very neat or professional. It works but it doesn't look nice. I would say they were responsive, but they did not fix what I wanted them too. The gutters they did a great job.
