Looking to find an attractive, easy covering for an old tile floor, we were excited to find a display for an epoxy floor covering at the Westlake Sherwin Williams store. The price, as quoted, was well within our budget. An appointment was made with the installer referred to us by the store. The representative came out to survey the job, and he returned a quote several days later that was more than double the highest per square foot quote supplied by the store. The distance from their base in the Akron-Canton area and small size of the job were cited as reasons for the high quote. If true, these factors need to be included in future general estimates supplied by the store, although in a follow-up visit they appeared unwilling to do so.
