"The design process included lots of discussion about wants and needs for the renovation. We took our time about making decisions, and tried various combinations of material and colors. Everyone was patient. Once construction began, we got regular communication about progress. We were frequently asked if we had any questions or concerns. Answers were always timely. Discovery of an unexpected plumbing problem was dealt with quickly and did not delay construction by more than a day or two. It did add to the cost of the project, but it was worth doing for the overall health of the house. The crew were mindful of protecting the parts of the house not involved in construction and cleaned up each day. Easy to work with this group. Highly recommend Odell."

We have used Odell Construction for 2 major house projects. They added on a third car garage for us in 2017, and most recently (2024) they completely renovated our master bathroom and our hallway bathroom. They have been excellent to work with from start to finish! Kristie, our designer, listened to what we wanted in both bathrooms, and helped us come up with design ideas. Our project manager, Chris, kept us informed with weekly emails about what to expect the following week, and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. They showed up on time everyday and if there was ever a schedule change, we were notified beforehand. Chris, Kevin, Lyle and Brad, etc did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves daily. We couldn’t be any happier with the way both bathrooms turned out! Highly recommend!

For a homeowner, one of the largest barriers to starting a construction project is finding a contractor that you feel good about hiring. Will they show up? Will they be honest and do a good job? Will they stick to the budget? Our experience with Odell construction was as good as an experience could be with a contractor. From the beginning, each detail of the project was discussed in full and then amazingly, those expectations were met- every. single. time. Justin and his team completely deliver. Odell remodeled a kitchen in our home. This is a project that normally has the implication of being a headache; however, after having completed the project, we can actually say the experience was great! They did exactly what they said they were going to do for the amount they quoted. Luckily for us, we have now found a contractor that we feel comfortable using for any project in the future. The barrier of uncertainty is removed!

It went great. Any issues (very few) that may have come up were promptly taken care of by Justin ODell. Also he was always easy to reach and returned my calls. My home remodels: approximate numbers 1.Basement remodel: 18K 2.Master bedroom and master bath remodel and surround in hall bath: 31K 3. Total Kitchen remodel and beyond: total kitchen gut,numerous changes,, woodwork, doors new hardware in entire house, painting etc. etc. which is all detailed in above comment:

The end result was excellent. The bathroom was gutted out, re-plumbed, rewired, replaced the subfloor, drywall, the floor and shower were tiled, new fixtures, vanity, etc. The work area was walled off with plastic sheeting so there was minimal mess/dust in the rest of the house. Justin had every day planned out, his guys showed up every day they were scheduled and were very professional. He had his electrician and plumber scheduled on certain days and work was completed as planned. Permits were pulled and the city inspections were scheduled at the right times. Chris did a perfect job on the tile layout and finish work, I couldn't be happier. This is a company that takes pride in their work, the bottom line is "you get what you pay for"!

Working with O'Dell Construction was an absolute pleasure! Justin and his employees are very professional and courteous. They take the time to explain what needs to be done and how they are doing it. They did a great job of staying on track with time and budget, which was what I had hoped for. A concern of mine while getting quotes was whether or not companies would have excessive change orders to increase the project cost. I only had one change order and it was for something that was clearly out of the score of our initial project plans. Assuming you don’t make major modifications from the agreed upon plan, then you don’t have to worry about change orders. If you’re looking for a quality design and build contractor, O’Dell Construction is perfect for you! We will be using O’Dell Construction again in the future.

He jumped through hoops to get me a certain toilet i wanted i now have the world's coolest toilet which the bathroom would not have accommodated had he not come up with getting that thing installed. The attention to detail was really, really good. He is first on the list to call (for more projects) once the new year comes.

We were extremely satisfied with the services performed by Odell Construction. The price was fair and reasonable for the amount of work performed. He did not nickel-dime us on every little thing. Justin has a change order process in place to ensure full knowledge and approval of the scope of work and any price changes that may be required before or during the time that the work is being done. Justin came out to measure and determine exactly what we expected to have done and to take measurements as well. He listened carefully, took detailed notes, and provided design input in areas where we needed help. He supplied us with the names of quality vendors for our fixtures. During the entire process, he was helpful and did not hesitate to answer our questions. We received a detailed estimate and a proposed time schedule. Justin was flexible and able to work with our schedule. He was quite conscientious in following up on the orders for the materials and fixtures that were required to ensure that the work would commence on the scheduled starting date. Justin’s people were very skilled and hardworking. They took great care to cover and protect our furniture and floors from damage and dust, and as the job went on, they were always willing to answer our questions and were responsive to our concerns. In cases where Justin may need to work with subcontractors for part of the work, such as plumbing or electrical, he always deals with the same people. We found the subcontractors to have the same qualities and attention to detail as his full-time crew. Justin, in addition to being very skilled himself, is also an excellent business manager with outstanding management skills. He knew what was happening at every stage of the remodel. He has a system where he receives updates from his crew every afternoon, or even sooner as questions arise. He will then come out to the job if required to ensure that any issues are resolved. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of the performance of Odell Construction, including the quality of the work, the professionalism and care of the workmen and responsiveness to any concerns. This is a quality construction company. The finished job looks wonderful and we plan to hire Odell Construction for any future remodeling projects.

Punctual, clean, courteous and excellent workmanship.

We were extremely pleased with every phase of the services performed by Odell Construction. The work was done when promised, on-time and on budget. We believe the price was fair and reasonable for the quality and amount of work performed. The process began with Justin O'Dell meeting with us for us to explain our needs. He listened carefully, made helpful suggestions as to more economical or efficient alternatives and took detailed notes. We then received a detailed estimate and a proposed time schedule. The work commenced very close to the estimated starting date, The workers were prompt, polite and left our home as clean and undisturbed as possible. Odell Construction provided a temporary faucet and sink so we would not be without water in our kitchen during the period from when the old counters were removed until the new ones could be measured, crafted and installed. The new counters fit beautifully and look fantastic, The cabinetry work was very well done and allowed us to retain our existing cabinets but with an updated look which fit perfectly with our new counters. The replacement doors are a huge improvement and were installed without any harm to walls. We did have one very minor issue a slide on one of the bedroom drawers that we called to Justin's attention. The matter was resolved immediately without question. We were extremely satisfied with every aspect of the performance of Odell Construction, including the quality of the work, the professionalism and care of the workmen and responsiveness to any concerns.

We can't say enough good things about Justin Odell. The quality of his company's work is exceptional. Our kitchen remodel was done within the given timeframe and there were no surprises on the final cost. Justin is a talented perfectionist and so good to work with. His top notch crew is hardworking, conscientious and respectful. We will again hire Odell Construction, Inc. for future projects.

Justin is a great guy, very responsive to the homeowner and a hard worker. It may take a day or two for him to get back to your email but that is because he is working hard, so I had no problem with that. A busy company to me is a sign of a successful, good company.  Justin was the third estimate I received for the work I wanted to have done and his price was the best.  During the purchasing and planning stages Justin was helpful and did not hesitate to answer my questions. His workers were friendly, hard working and obviously competent. The finished job looks great and I am very happy with everything. I will use them again if the situation arises,  

There are not enough good things I can say about Justin Odell and his workers.  Professional, personable, hard working.  I couldn't be happier.  This is a professional company - bonded, insured, registered with the city.  Justin, the company owner is very easy to work with and is very accommodating.  For example, after the first coat of paint dried, I didn't like the color - no big deal, he helped me pick another color and they repainted.  I felt very comfortable with Justin and his staff.  I am very happy with the quality of work and highly recommend.

This is a quality construction company.  The workers were prompt, trustworthy and skilled.  The owner, Justin Odell,  is also a skilled tradesman who is talented and up-to-date on the latest and best  products and techniques.  He is also a fine business manager.  He knew what was happening at every stage of the remodel.  The workers were friendly, respectful and dependable.  Odell Construction deals with reputable venders who carry quality products. Our hardwood floors are beautiful.  The bathroom is a pleasure to be in.  The carpeting is luxurious.  We were blessed to select Odell Construction for this phase of the remodel and will have them back without reservation in the future.

I put this off as long as I could as I had no way to figure out who to call.  I live alone in a house that is 115 years old and hadn't used a contractor before. I called Odell on the recommendation of a plumbing company that I had used several times.

 I am entirely satisfied with the work and the workmanship. They showed up on time every day, laid down mats to protect the floors. The whole crew were professional but very friendly and I was very comfortable with them. The job took 3 days but since this is the only bathroom I have they replaced the toilet on the first night. They couldn't replace the toilet on the day they installed the tile of course. They explained everything to me as they were going along. The price quoted was never changed.

II already have other projects I need done such as drywalling my kitchen and I definitely will be using Odell.

My neighbors were impressed as well with how well my bathroom came out and said they would also use Odell.

Only glitch was my own by not listening to his advice on the initial repair. Hoped that cracked foundation was only issue. When it was not, he had to trench out a larger segment and repair broken footer drains and install sump pump. Everything is functioning as it should.

All of the crew were professional and they finished the job in a timely manner and left the workplace clean.  I would definitely use them again.

From previous reviews we knew they might be a bit pricier than other contractors, but we chose to go with them expecting high quality work and we got it!
Whole project two about two weeks.  First week was tear down, drywall, installation of tub, replacing old bath plumbing pipes below in basement, boarding up of window and fixing the siding outside to match. Second week was tile, caulking around tub, installation of new sink and toilet, electrical and finishing touches. We were allowed one day during the second week in which to prime and paint.
Since this was our only bathroom they were careful to clean up as best they could every day and they re-seated the toilet every night so we could use it. They also placed protective rugs on our wood floors for the duration so as not to damage them. Removed pictures on adjacent walls that we forgot to remove.
Work was done during regular business hours. They were punctual and courteous.  Very professional service. We were very pleased and are already thinking of hiring again to work on our kitchen floors next year!

During his first visit to our home Justin was extremely thoughtul in his approach to the project, taking numerous photographs and notes. From this preliminary research he noted several areas where work completed by a previous contractor did not meet local building codes.  Before providing us with an estimate, he met several times with our local building department to develop cost-effective solutions to these building code issues.  Justin gave a well-researched and accurate estimate. He started work when he said he would and completed the project on time and under budget. He managed several sub-contractors (electrician, plumber, painter, floor refinisher, HVAC) most of whom we had selected before we chose Justin as our GC. Justin and his crew were incredibly efficient with both time and resources.  They took great care to protect our home and left our house clean at the end of each work day.
They provided the following services:
INTERIOR: framing, insulation and roof venting, fireblocking, drywall prep and finish, cement board installation, wall and floor tiling, cabinetry, countertop and window installation
EXTERIOR: Flashing, shake siding, clapboard siding, roofing, exterior paint and paint prep (caulking, sealing, etc.)
SPECIALTY SERVICES: Installation of rehabbed historic door jambs, doors, mouldings, casings, baseboards and floorboards. When we were short on existing historic materials to complete the project, Justin and his crew created new mouldings, flooring, etc to match the old.
In conclusion, we feel it especially important to note that we have young children and that Justin and his entire crew were aware of and respectful of them.  They were polite and kind to our kids.  Whether working indoors or out, we never heard any foul language nor was there any smoking.

They came out within 24 hours and took care of everything. They did it all in about two hours with a great service.
