It went fine

His estimate was what I expected to pay for the job.  Jim arrived promptly and left the area cleaned after he was done each day.  It's a large kitchen with a lot of cabinets to paint around and the work was completed in 3 days including drywall patch in a corner of the entry.  I'm very pleased with the work, my kitchen looks great!

Once again, a perfect experience!  I have used this painter several times over the past 7 years and I could not be more pleased.  Jim does great work and he is always completely professional, punctual, and responsible is every way.  I would very strongly recommend him.  He is totally reliable and does quality work.

Jim was terrific to work with. He returned my phone call promptly, came the next day to give us an estimate on the job, and started working for us about 2 weeks later. He would tell me every morning what time he would arrive and he was always prompt. He scraped, primed, caulked when needed and painted the overhang around the house and the garage door frame--the overhang is wide and the old paint was peeling badly, so it took a lot of time and it was very hot!  He also scraped and painted our rusty, peeling front porch railing and when he finished he vacuumed up all of the tiny little bits of old paint.  Jim did a wonderful job--we are very pleased with the results.  We will definitely call Jim for any painting jobs in the future.

Bill returned my phone call promply.  He arranged a time to meet at my home  and  arrived at the designated time.  We decided on a day to begin and, again, Bill was prompt.  Bill moved the items in the garage so that he could paint in an efficient manner.  When finished, he put all the items back, with some unsolicited help from us.  Bill also painted  trim on the outside of the house.  He completed the job within the time estimated. We were happy with the result and would hire NU-LOOK Painting again.

When I called for an estimate Jim was prompt in calling back and came by to do an estimate within a day or two. I had three estimates, one by on of the student painting"companies", and another independant contractor. I made sure the same type of paint and application was used. Powerwashing was extra $200 on one.

The other two were $300 to $900 above NULOOK, Though NU LOOK was the lowest I was most impressed with I knew who was going to know exacltly who would be doing the work-JIM.

Jim started on time, protected shrubbery & plants. Even painted around the Robin's nest on one of the downspouts.
The job was finished on time. One rain day. I wasn'tso sure at first one guy could complete the job in three days, he did and no shortcuts!

You barely knew he was here working.

I will use Jim when I have some interior painting.


If your thinking aout doing it yourself, don't call Jim.

They did an excellent job. The guy lives a mile away, which was nice.

Jim arrived when he said he would and never left a mess.  I am quite happy with the result.

you have to request two coats

As always, Jim did a fabulous, fast and clean job. If I owned a multi-million dollar home, I wouldn't use any one but Nu-Look Painting.

First my entire house was power washed. Secondly, all the loose boards were nailed and caulked. Then the house was scraped, primed and finally painted. He did a lot of small things (cleaned out a gutter! that I had missed in the spring), helping me move ladders for my area of painting on the lower level, and provided me with some suggestions on painting my garage door that was previously stained and varnished. I was totally impressed, and extremely pleased with his workmanship, his punctuality, and his overall kind nature.

Called Jim on a Monday afternoon for a quote and he came by at 9:00 am. on Tuesday morning with the quote and said he would be by on Sunday to paint the garage door. Because of rain scheduled for the weekend he came on Thursday afternoon to put on the first coat of paint and then came back again on Friday afternoon to put on the second coat. Beautiful job!! Jim is very neat and clean and very much detail oriented. I would definitely have him do any future painting and my only regret is that he is does not do more handyman jobs such as carpentry, etc. He is an excellent painter and I know for certain that he would be excellent in any project that he undertook.

Jim showed up on time and after carefully covering my new laminate floors with drop cloths, he got to work. He completed priming and one coat of paint the first day and returned the next day to apply the third coat. He worked steadily and didn't stop for lunch or any breaks. He was very forthcoming with answers to any of my questions. I appreciated the fact that he was a non-smoker. He did not waste time talking on his cell phone or taking any unnecessary breaks. I was very pleased with his work. I asked him to come back in March to paint the paneling in my dining room too. He did the priming and painting then came back a few hours later, at my request, and finished the second coat. The job was completed in one day. It was a lot of work. He was very meticulous about his painting and cleaned up everything when he left. I would definitely hire him again.

They were prompt and did good work.

He did a wonderful job but did not complete about 10% of the areas we had outlined in a written note to him. He did the bulk of the requested work and the quality of his work was good. We did not call him back to finish these 'missed' spots since we could touch-up those spots on our own. Overall we would give him an A- if we were allowed to since we did not understand why he did not complete all of the work.

They were very professional. It was a very tough job. He did everything he said he was going to do. It was basically half for free. The quote was about $5000. They are very professional. A single gentleman runs the business. The quality of the work was good; everything went fine.

Great work. No complaints. He's a very hard worker.

He has got a ton of references and has done a really nice job for us. He is very neat, very dependable and punctual, and shows up exactly when he says he will. He is very business-like and gets his work done.

Overall, he did a very good job. There were a few areas where the tape wasn't taken off and it was just painted over. Otherwise he did ok.

Fabulous; I couldn't have asked for more and I am VERY picky about how people treat my home.

It went wonderful. He was on time and it didn't take him long to finish the work. He cleaned up after himself and he was very methodical. He gave me a lot of advice on paint. I was very pleased with the finished results. I was so pleased with the windows that I hired him to paint my kitchen as well.

Very affable person. Easy to talk with and direct. Very good speed and efficiency in setup, masking and tarping, clean-up. Excellent cleanliness - no spatter, dripping, smudging, running. I am a very good DIY painter with lots of experience (but no time now) so I am pretty picky, and I rated "very good" what I am sure others would call "excellent."

Overall the experience was excellent. He was here first thing in the morning and painted all day until 4 or 5:00 p.m. I don't believe he ever stopped for lunch. He cleaned up as much as possible everyday.

They showed up on time to do the work. They did all the work in one day. They cleaned up everything when they were done working. They laid plastic down so they didn't spill paint on the floor.

Jim is very punctual and detailed-he did a good job and always cleaned up neatly. It was a pleasure doing business with him.
