1. Excellent. Tech was knowledgeable, and in addition to replacing the condensing unit, he replaced 2 or 3 safety devices that could have resulted in house fire (water damage to furnace from leaking condenser) . I was impressed and grateful. 2. Very disappointing. Tech oiled the fan as temporary fix during hot spell. That lasted several hours. Office committed to finding and quoting price for replacement fan. They never got back to me. I found the correct fan myself, then ordered it and installed it myself with difficulty. 3. Office committed to providing estimate to replace A/C and furnace. They did not follow up, and have provided no information. I have worked with this company for more than 5 years. In all that time I have called the office a dozen or more times. No one ever answered the phone after 11 AM, and there is no answering machine. I have had service contracts with them, and I have had to call them each time to schedule the maintenance, sometimes multiple calls to schedule the service call. The techs are knowledgeable and, for the most part, thorough. They provide details on what they are doing and why. Except for the service on my blower fan (see notes), I have been impressed with the hands on technical staff. Good luck with the front office. Their degree of attention and follow through gives me the distinct impression that they don't really care to have my business. They will reap the consequence of their level of attention. I am finished with Westerville Heating and Cooling.

Service person was polite and efficient.  My problem was with the office "by accident" making a $600+ charge to my card in November. Issue has been resolved (but not explained) by credit card company.

The tech went out and looked at my central air unit. He said it was the motor and he couldn't tell what company the unit came from. He said he would have to take it off and try to find a motor for it. The technician told me one price for the labor cost that was very very high to fix the unit. Because he didn't know what manufacturer the motor was, it would be a problem and take time to find a part. My male friend talked with the technician on the phone and the labor price came down $200. The technician didn't want to answer questions about the service for my male friend. The technician suggested that it might be better to get a new unit. One of the brands that this company installs has a payment plan. He asked me if I was working and said that would be a better way to go if I could afford it. A sales rep from the company called me, but I had already found someone who was able to fix the problem for $400 less than the technician quoted me for the repair.
This company came very highly recommended by my neighbors. I was extremely disappointed and will never use them again.

I came home and there was a strong chemical smell in my house.  I had my family check it and they all agreed.  My son pointed out that it was near the furnace.  It started to get really cold that day and I called them about 7:30 p.m.  A technician was able to come and look at the issue that night.  They arrived the next day and realized that the parts that were needed were incorrect.  There were 3 technicians that came out that day and continued to solve the problem.  The next morning they came back out and found the pc board was burned which caused the smell.  They really worked hard to solve the problem and assured me throughout the process that they wouldn't leave me without my furnace working.  I apprciated their work and dedication.  They were very caring and concerned.

Excellent. A simple phone call had the appointment set within a week. The tech arrived on time and he was professional in his work and interacting with me. We've used Westerville Heating & Cooling for years and we wouldn't think of using anyone else.

Called my normal HVAC company who insisted I needed to replace the system. Since this was an investment property, I was trying to keep cost at a minimum. Got a second opinion from Westerville Heating and very glad I did. The technician was able to replace a part that the other company missed. System was repaired for about $100.00. I felt this company was sincerely trying to make the reapir, rather than sell a new system. The only bad part is, my regular company I have used for years and trusted for so long really let me down.

My first call during regular business hours was not answered so I left a message which was never returned. My second call was answered by a young woman who could not answer basic questions about the air conditioning check (how much, cost of yearly service contract, what the inspection convers, etc). She finally obtained the answers from someone else. I scheduled an air conditioning unit check stating that, if it went well, I would sign up for their yearly service contract. The technician come during the scheduled period, was very professional, answered my questions and did a great job. Good service from him. I was ready to sign up for the yearly contract based on his performance but he did not carry a contract with him and was surprised that the office hadn't already sent one to me. I tried to call their office then but got the answering machine again. Left another message that, one week later, has not been returned and still no contract in the mail. Needless to say I did not sign up for their yearly service contract and will be looking for another company for the fall heating unit check.

I have used this company the past 3 years & have always been pleased. Their rates are competitive & their service has always been outstanding - always on time, always courteous & professional, always providing great service. The office staff has always been pleasant & professional. Stoney came out to look at my heat pump & furnace. It was discovered that my freon was low which was resulting in poor performance. They did a thorough inspection & cleaning of all my heating units. Stoney discovered that my humidifier filter hadn't been changed in a very long time & was in bad shape. He removed it until he comes back to replace it. Once again, very good service & a good experience. I will use them again.

There price hasn't changed over the last three or four years. They are usually very prompt. They call and set up a date. They are reliable. The fellow is very pleasant. They are nice people to work with. Several years ago, I called them out for an emergency and they said they couldn't come out. I then said that is why I had a service contract and they came out and they tried really hard to please me after that. They even called and followed up a couple of times.

ON SUNDAY I FOUND A PUDDLE OF WATER ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR. CALLED ON MONDAY TO HAVE THEM COME OUT AND TAKE A LOOK, AS WELL AS GET THE FURNACE READY FOR WINTER. THEY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR BETWEEN 9:00 AND 9:30 THE NEXT MORNING. THEY CALLED AHEAD OF TIME LIKE I ASKED AND GOT THERE A BIT BEFORE 9:30. THE TWO GUYS WHO CAME OUT GOT RIGHT TO WORK AND WERE GONE IN ABOUT AN HOUR. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND DIDN'T SEEM TO MIND THE QUESTIONS I KEPT ASKING. BEFORE LEAVING THEY TOLD ME HOW TO KEEP THE CLOG FROM OCCURRING IN THE FUTURE AND HOW TO FIX IT MYSELF IF IT EVER DOES. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO CALL THEM AGAIN.

GREGG WAS GREAT! THE COMPANY GAVE GREAT SERVICE FROM THE FIRST PHONE CALL TO THE SAME-DAY VISIT AND REPAIR. I CALLED THEM BECAUSE I DIDN'T TRUST THE FIRST COMPANY THAT HAD TOLD ME TO REPLACE MY AIR CONDITIONER. WHEN I SAW ANOTHER ANGIE'S LIST REVIEW THAT SAID WESTERVILLE HEATING AND COOLING HAD REPAIRED A 28-YEAR OLD AIR CONDITIONER WITHOUT RECOMMENDING IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT, I FIGURED THEY MUST BE PRETTY HONEST! WE INITIALLY HOPED A ''KICK START'' KIT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM, AS IT WAS A LESS EXPENSIVE OPTION, BUT ULTIMATELY WE HAD TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR OR THE ENTIRE UNIT. I OPTED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT, AND THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO DO THE WORK QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. THEY PATIENTLY ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS, WHICH WERE MANY GIVEN THE REPAIR COST. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR SENSE OF FAIRNESS AND PROFESSIONALISM, AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.

WE'D NEGLECTED OUR ANCIENT 28-YEAR-OLD AIR-CONDITIONER FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED WHEN IT QUIT WORKING DURING OUR SECOND 90 DEGREE DAY THIS YEAR, BUT THE WATER BUBBLING BY THE BLOWER REALLY STARTLED ME. I CALLED SEVERAL PLACES INCLUDING THE COMPANY I NORMALLY USE, BUT THEY TOLD ME I'D NEED TO WAIT A WEEK. WESTERVILLE HEATING-COOLING CAME THAT EVENING, GAVE THE UNIT COMPLETE SERVICE, AND ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD WORK AT LEAST ANOTHER YEAR OR TWO. THE REPAIRMAN WAS SO PROMPT AND PLEASANT TO THIS MIDDLE-AGED LADY, WHO REALLY CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT, THAT I AM CONSIDERING BUYING THEIR SERVICE CONTRACT. AND WHEN I DO BUY A NEW UNIT, I'LL GET THEIR ESTIMATE FIRST. THE PRICE WAS A BIT HIGH, BUT I WAS PAYING FOR THE OVERTIME. WITH THE SERVICE CONTRACT, I WOULD SAVE CONSIDERABLY FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS.
