It was a great job by Jerry Sexton and his crew at Urban Upkeep. Very friendly , professional and the cost was many thousands of dollars less than others. We are completely satisfied. Jerry offered a couple of suggestions on the project, which were very helpful and inexpensive, but he never ever tried to "up-sell " us on anything. Communication was excellent; Jerry checked with us constantly about the project and he always answered our phone calls or texts immediately. It was painless on our end and the new kitchen is great!

They did a very nice job. Really looked like new.

All went great - very prompt & efficient. The work was completed 2 weeks after I called to schedule an estimate.

Everything was done carefully, professionally, and with full discussion and input from the homeowner. The builder was incredibly responsive and available to discuss the project at any point. They always left the workspace very, very clean, so it was possible to still live and even use the space during the renovation. Lots of problems came up during the process (since it is an old building) that Urban Upkeep was able to solve creatively and without complaint. A few extras and changes were not met with resistance - they sought to please and work with us in every way.

we thought it went well with what had to be done. workers were on time did what was needed to do. if anything was to be added, we were asked if we wanted the work done. it was a positive experience. the old paint had to be scraped off and a few pieces (we have wood shingles) had to be replaced. then the house was primed and painted. it turned out better than we expected. also a few places had to be caulked and some had to be nailed back on.

     I CALLED THE PHONE # ON THE EVENING OF THE 24TH AND THE OWNER JERRY SEXTON ANSWERD ,.HE MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT DAY. .HE WAS ON TIME AND CALLED BEFORE TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS ON HIS WAY .

AFTER CHECKING ALL THE STEPS HE ASSURED ME IT WAS ONLY ONE STEP AND HE WOULD WORK ME INTO HIS SCHEDULE THE NEXT DAY. .WE SET A PRICE AND TIME ,.THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING .HIS WORKER WAS ON TIME, WORKED QUICKLY, CLEANED UP AND SAID HE DOUBLE CHECKED EACH STEP AND IT WAS SAFE..

THE PRICE WAS JUST WHAT WE AGREED ON.I WILL CALL HIM AGAIN AND RECOMEND HIM TO OUR FRIENDS.SO GLAD HE  GETS HIS CALLS TAKEN CARE OF FASTER THAN I GOT THIS REVIEW DONE .

Contacted Urban Upkeep for an estimate on completely replacing the master bath shower. Jerry provided an estimate within a very short time for which I thought was reasonable. Jerry was also able to accommodate the need to finish the work before house guests coming to visit. On the agreed upon start date they were prompt and very courteous. Jim and Bryce made a pit stop to make over the dogs then headed straight to the job. The estimated time for the job was shortened by 2 days by the teams diligence and work ethics to get the job done. I was impressed. The finished job is beautiful! I recommend the team

It went well.  It took a little longer than thought it would.  But he told me in the beginning that they did not know what they would run into.  I have an older home.
He has also done a deck on the back of my house and it is just wonderful.  He did hardwood floors in two rooms and they are beautiful.

The weather was getting down to the freezing point and he promised me it wouldn't compromise the quality of work. He had time to do it. They finished the job as the weather was getting bad. Everything is looking absolutely great. He came back out because a plank was coming out. He finished that yesterday. He put PVC wood everywhere wood was rotted. I couldn't do all of them because it was very expensive to do. So we did whole sections of the front of the house in one go, but nothing on the the side. He picked the PVC wood together. He power washed the stucco. He primed and painted the stucco after painting the trim and replacing the two poles that were hollow inside. He replaced them completely with new PVC wood. He then caulked and painted them as well. He did an excellent job. There were three or four places I checked where the caulking wasn't quite right. He had a young crew. They came back out and they missed the mark a little bit, but that's normal. He said he was tired of babysitting, so he came and did it himself on a cold day. He believes in doing things right the first time so you don't have to deal with it again. He's communications skills are exceptional. He was always talking with me. I have praised him continuously for his communication skills. From calling me on the phone, texting me, sending me pictures and videos of things, how he was going to do things, the diagrams. He always follows through with great quality. He's an amazing guy. I told him I've rarely met someone like that and I almost want to keep him for myself. It wasn't cheap. It was expensive work. I was surprised. I did talk to other carpenters. I didn't get any deals. There was absolutely nothing negative. He delivered. He worked with the weather and me. He told me if I had any issues to let him know. He said "don't worry, if you have any issues, I'll fix it. I'll take care of it." He collected the payment and delivered. He takes control. I was absolutely amazed. He's going to do my gutters this year and some insurance work for the roofing. He's fully certified for roof and siding work. I was very happy to find them after many mediocre experiences. They are an amazing company. He takes pride in what he's doing. It's very rare how he runs his business.

From the very second I contacted Jerry (owner) it was a pleasant experience and very professional.  
I had a 19 year old plastic tub and shower liner that had cracked.  We talked about options and prices and decided to go with a steel enameled tub and a tile surround with new fixtures as well.
Jerry was always great with communication up front with every detail of the job.  There was another guy who actually came to do the work (I forgot his name, I'm very bad with names).  He was a great person to deal with as well and his work was very well done.
The wife and I are very happy with the quality of the work, the experience, and the price.
We'll be using them again in the future, no doubt about that in my mind.

I purchased the big deal for $699.  Jerry came out to the house and I selected a project, which was to demo the old cabinet (nicknamed "the monster"), then install a cabinet/shelf for an over-the-range microwave.  Jerry took pictures and measurements.  After a couple of weeks, he contacted me with different options.  He supplied me with pictures and diagrams, and was very helpful (and patient!) while I figured out how I wanted to proceed with the project.  I decided to go with a custom cabinet - I still need to stain it. They also made the ventilation system operational, which hadn't been working since I moved into the house.  At the end of the project, Jerry submitted his time log. I ended up with a credit balance, which he offered to refund or hold for another project.  The craftsmanship was top-notch, and I couldn't be happier!

As with previous jobs from this same service provider, the work was completed promptly and with very high quality.

Jerry called me two minutes after I sent an inquiry message to him! His estimate was in line with my budget, and he came highly recommended from my fellow Angie's List members. I am extremely satisfied with my remodeled bathroom and have already contracted with Urban Upkeep to complete several more projects in my home. I have found Jerry and his team to be very conscientious, responsive, and talented, and you will too!
