Jim was very responsive to our call, willing to come out sooner than we could be there. He arrived promptly for the appointment we scheduled (actually arriving about 10 minutes early). He worked efficiently but was willing to explain what he was doing and to answer other garage door-related questions. We love to support small businesses, and Suburban Door is exactly the type of business we love. We would contact Jim again without hesitation.

He assessed the situation and fixed it quickly. I've used him for several years and will continue doing so.

The doors (themselves) had a few issues but he got them into top-shape working condition. The doors and newly installed openers are working great!

Jim Heineman, owner of Suburban Door, was incredible. I called him at the suggestion of a friend who had used his services in the past, and saw the positive reviews from Angie's List. He provided an estimated cost over the phone and was onsite the same day. Within about an hour, I had a fully functioning garage door. He ensured the door was properly balanced before leaving (making sure the tension was set properly on the springs). Whereas I could have gone with one of the larger shops, I was very happy that I went with Jim as he has been clearly doing this for a long time and knows his work. I'm a DIY'er and was ready to do this myself (even priced out the parts), but glad I had Jim do the work instead. His rates were very reasonable, and given the horror stories of installing springs going wrong; I strongly recommend giving Suburban Door a call. Absolutely a positive experience.

I had one broken torsion spring on a wide door, so I replaced both of them. I got two prices, and this company was the lowest. The owner, Jim, was at my house in less than an hour. He was very efficient and professional. He also checked and lubricated the door at no additional charge. I was very pleased.

I had the provider come out to fix the light beam because our garage door was frequently stopping as it was going down and returning to the open position. We were having to stop the door as it was going back up and restart the descent at least 5 times. Shawn and his assistant were very knowledgeable and professional. They fixed the problem and additionally knew exactly what to do in order to make the garage door quieter. In the past, another provider unsuccessfully tried to make it quieter. I know now not to use coupons from other garage door companies, they don't have the expertise to do the job as well as Suburban Door.

This was the second time I've had Suburban Door work on my garage door. Both times I was highly satisfied with their service, cost, and professionalism. This time the technician was very accommodating to our work schedule, and had the garage repaired less than 24 hours after I called him. I will definitely call again when i ever need repairs again.

Jim was excellent. Just what we were hoping for.  We have an old garage door (about 60 yrs old) that is well made and looks fine but started having trouble opening/closing.  We had someone else look at it about 6 weeks ago and he lubed the door and said it really needed replaced. We decided to wait and see how it did and it worked fine for about 6 weeks, until yesterday. We thought we would have to replace the door but decided to get a second opinion.  I called Jim early the next morning and he was here before noon.  He was able to identify a different problem with the chain and pulley and hopefully fixed the problem...only time will tell I guess.  It is working fine now and I am pleased he was willing to try fixing it rather than immediately recommending replacement. Jim has many years of experience and appeared to have a much better knowledge of older garage doors and options for making them last as long as possible.  Highly recommended.

The cable had come loose and I could not get the door open. They fixed a broken spring.  It all went very well.

Jim called me back in the evening, less than 2 hours after I left a message. He scheduled me for the next day, called when he was en route (as promised), came when he said he would and quickly resolved the issue. I would DEFINITELY call him again!

Jim, the owner, is wonderful. I left a phone message and he called me back immediately. He said that he wasn't too far away from my home so he stopped by, reprogrammed the remote, and even gave us advice on how to properly maintain the door itself. He did not charge anything for his time! This is the second time through the years that Jim helped us out and didn't charge us anything for the service call. I would definitely recommend Suburban Door to everyone.

Emailed the company and they responded right away. Very knowledgeable and professional. A lighting storm fried our garage door opener and he even suggested I get a new one from Sears as it would be less expensive than buying one from them. I did and he installed the next day. Would use again in a heartbeat.

Everything went great once Jim got here. Spring broke this morning trapping my vehicle inside. Called Jim (Suburban Door owner) by 8 am. Although he thought it would be noon or so before he could get to me, he was able to get out to me by 11 am. Took about 30-45 minutes. Works perfectly now. Been using Jim's service since at least 1996 when he installed this garage door. Always punctual, professional, courteous. Price was not the absolute lowest (I did check another firm), but was close enough that I felt that the quality, reliability and long-term track record of his work warranted the small additional cost. Apparently, as a third generation long in the family business, his reputation precedes him. At this time he apparently does not need to advertise as he indicates his business is able to continue on word of mouth/referrals. However, this made finding him somewhat problematic as his business (phone number) sticker had come off the textured back surface of my garage door a number of years ago. I did not find him in the phone book, but here on Angie's list . Thanks Angie!

I called Jim and left a message explaining I had a broken garage door spring and provided my name, phone and address. He called back within a few minutes saying he had the parts in his truck and would make the repair that afternoon. He called back to let me know he was on his way a few minutes before arriving. He quickly replaced both springs on the door. He then lubercated all the door hinges and wheels on the repaired door and did the same on the other door just because it was there. Fantastic same day service from a seasoned and friendly professional at a great price. I almost hope my other door needs work just so he can come back!

The guy that came does a really good job and showed up on time.They service that they provided me was great and they didn't charged extra for some additional service that they do.

This is the second time I have used Jim to offer his knowledge in repair and service of my garage door. He is exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, prompt and easy to work with. What ever the problem or issue he was attentive and able to perform repairs quickly . He is trustworthy and honorable, nice qualities to find in a service entity.
