Parker M. Jarvis, D.D.S.

While I like Dr Jarvis as a person, I've noticed on several occasions that his hands shake while he's using dental tools in my mouth. a few months ago, he slipped and nicked inside of my mouth, but it was no big deal. On my last visit, as he was completing the crown (checking clearances with floss), I noticed a lot of power, strength, as he applied floss and force in the area of the new crown. a lot more force than I had felt before. I was a bit scared, as it didn't feel he was between the teeth, but more "on" the tooth. perhaps he was just having a bad day. later in the day, I noticed a lot of neck pain (and I have had neck issues/recent physical therapy, so I'm more sensitized to too much force). pain continued through the next day, and went into their office to talk to Dr. Jarvis, but he wasn't in yet. He called me later, and I told him what happened and asked if anyone ever told him me had shaky hands sometimes. he said no. then I came here on Angies list, and noticed a 2012 review for work done in 2011 (should still be here). looks like someone else had noticed this and reported on it. I decided to find another dentist. Again, nice office, nice people, and good work overall, but in my situation, I don't want to risk my neck any further.

My tooth cracked late at night and I did not have a dentist in this area yet. I called Dr. Jarvis's office in the morning, based on the reviews here, and they were able to squeeze me in that day- very much appreciated!  They assessed the tooth and decided that it was too weak to fill again (which I knew) and decided to crown it .  I am a big scaredy cat about dentists and this was the ABSOLUTELY BEST experience I have EVER had a dentist! They gave me a warm wrap for my neck and shoulders, a blanket (its a bit chilly in the office) and the option of having gas if I wanted it.  Dr. Jarvis and all of his staff were excellent at explaining what they were doing, and performing everything in a gentle and efficient manner.  LOVE these people!

His services are excellent. He is one of the best dentist in Central Ohio. He has one of the best staff. He is extremely knowledgeable and gentle with patients. He is a fabulous dentist.

Both the staff and service helped me in a timely manner. I'm overall very pleased with Dr. Jarvis' office and his staff!

We are new to the area and I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Jarvis's office after finding positive reviews on Angie's List.  My interactions with the office staff were positive and they were ready to take me at my scheduled time.  My dental hygienist was Donna and she was wonderful.  She made me feel comfortable and was easy to converse with.  She is experienced at her job and it made for a gentle cleaning.  Dr. Jarvis was equally friendly and thorough at his job.  From my first experience I would say this is one of the best dental practice I have been to and I have already recommend them to others.

Dr. Jarvis, has been my dentist for over 20 years. He & his staff, are professional in every way, I have never had a problem going there. He & his staff, explain everything that they are going to do.

The whole office seems upbeat and nice. I am still a new patient with him so at this point we have no complaints.

I had two fillings replaced in a very scantiness place, the front of month a long the gum line. He was very careful and i had no pain what so ever.

You never have to wait at Dr.Jarvis's office!The staff is so kind,nice,and gentle.They are dedicated to making it a comfortable and painless experience for their patients.

He has been my dentist for the past 24 years. He does a great job and that’s why I keep going back to him. He really cares about his patient and he has a really great office staff. I would use him again in the future.

It went well. He was professional, efficient and thorough.

The initial appointment was for cleaning, X-rays, and evaluation. Dr. Jarvis determined old fillings needed to be replaced. On July 18, 2011, I was told the old fillings would be drilled out. When the drilling was done, and with no consultation, I was told that I would need two crowns instead of fillings. The unexpected cost for the crowns was $1393. After the crowns were installed they never fit properly, I had three subsequent appointments for adjustments, but the crowns still do not fit properly. Dr. Jarvis has very shaky hands and he did not actually install the crowns. Installation was done by an assistant. In my opinion, Dr. Jarvis is not physically fit to perform dental service on patients. I must now go to another dentist to rectify my dental problem. I have since talked to friends who also had unacceptable dental service from Dr. Jarvis.

Our family has been going to Dr Jarvis for @ 15 years. We fully recommend his office! What an absolutely terrific staff. They are cheerful and friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful and kind in every way, from billing/insurance paperwork to easing the fears of my youngest daughter. We've had procedures from routine cleaning to emergency work done, and you couldn't ask for more knowledgeable and caring people. When a small piece broke off of my front tooth, they did cosmetic work so no one can tell. I absolutely trust them with the care of my family.

BTW, when you go, ask for the 'room with the view', there are bird feeders outside that always have cute little birds darting nearby, a great distraction

My visit went very well. I am very satisfied with the services I receive at this practice. The staff are attentive and dentist is very friendly. I plan to stay at this practice until he retires!
