Northern Lighting has a good selection and easy to use website. I selected 3 outdoor light fixtures for pier mounts. They also required a mount piece, sold separately. I drove there to pick them up. They had the option of phoning from the car and having the items brought out, to minimize contact due to covid. I took advantage of that. The people I worked with online, by email, and at the store were all very helpful, professional, and personable. Every time I need lights, I got to them because they are the best I've found in the Columbus area.

We just moved to Westerville from Hampton, VA and needed to have a chandelier rewired. Fred and the other associates made us feel like we were the owners. They exceeded our expectations every step of the way. We did not know that old fashioned customer service still existed.

Northern Lighting is a great company to work with. We used Northern Lighting for all of our lights in our new custom home. We had an excellent experience with the entire team. Amanda was a great help during our lighting package selection. All of our lights/fans were delivered on time and look amazing. They were wonderful. I think they are reasonable. They have good sales. It is a family run business which is really nice to be around. They have many lights. You walk in and there is just so many lights. I think they are just more friendly. They call you back and email you. They let you walk around and give you suggestions.

fThe staff was extremely helpful in picking all my lights, as well as using my old ceiling light glass and fitting it into a new base fixture. They looked at photos of my house and helped match the style, size and color with the house. They are very patient and listened to all my concerns, answered numerous questions and provided invaluable advice.

I don't believe they do any installations. They are a lighting store, but a fabulous one. Like a candy store for me!

Northern Lighting could not have been more helpful and professional with the items I needed for our remodeling project.
Even though I live in Delaware and would have to drive past Capital Lighting to get there, I would now go to Northern everytime.

We had a very positive experience at Northern Lighting. Lori Hixon is very knowledgeable about various types of lighting bulbs; incandescent, fluorescent and especially LED! She was willing to spend time with us to make sure we were well informed and she made the confusing world of lighting more understandable. We were glad to be able to work with Lori and to avail ourselves of the great discount offered by Northern Lighting.

We purchased a large package of decorative lighting for Kitchen, B'fast Nook, Dining, Study, Hallway, and M. Bedrm in 2004 from Northern Lighting. The price was right and everything has worked out wonderfully since then. In 2009 one of the pendant lights in the kitchen track light failed and we we had a ballast replaced in it. It failed again recently and of course it is long out of warrantee. Working with a Northern Lighting young man behind the counter, he searched hard and was able to come up with a complete replacement that was a close match. However, as we talked he suggetsed that I replace only the ballast, cord and socket part and retain and use the old pendant shade pieces. That gave me an exact match at half the cost of a new replacement. That's why we always shop at Niorthern Lighting!

Northern Lighting staff members were very helpful in ordering both the cabinet and a replacement for a shelf that had broken in transit. The cabinet itself had some small problems with fit and finish, which was not the fault of Northern Lighting but did reflect poorly on its choice of product line. We discovered later that we could have ordered the cabinet online for 40% less; the extra money did buy us hassle-free service, and we're not unhappy with the outcome.

There are lots of samples in the store and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They are very honest with showing you a less expensive item that looks just as nice as a more expensive fixture. They communicate very well and let you know when you order is in.

Last Saturday I visited three lighting stores looking for a new kitchen fixture. Northern was the only one where they paid any attention to me. They answered all my questions and were very friendly. It's a great place to shop.
