Description of Work: to dry out my wet basement.

Description of Work: Hello I am a property manager and my regular carpet cleaner was out of town so I had to contact someone else. I contacted Buckeye steam for a water extraction, I was told the estimate cost would be around $85.00 to come out, and of course additional cost if any extra work was required or any machines had to be left behind with my approval. In turn they sent out Mr. Flood, I guess maybe Mr. Flood subcontract work from Buckeye Steam. At no time did they tell me what they charge; I guess I was under the impression that the cost would be the same since I was verbally told the estimate by Buckeye Steam. I received a bill for $1788.06 from them; Mr. Flood charged me $120.00 for the emergency call, $137.50 for the worker to come out then $122.50 to actually pick up the wand. I was then charged for 7 large blowers and 1 dehumidifier for three days totaling $900.00, also throw in $35.00 for disinfetinant. Then they had the audacity to charge me $270.00 to check the equipment, which I was never informed they would be doing. Finally to pick up there equipment I was charged $90.00 and then add in the sales tax 113.06. Look I understand I did not have a contract with them, but where in the world did this company come up with these outrageous charges, especially when I was quoted $85.00. To make matters worse I tried speaking with the Owner/Manager Wayne Pounds, He was rude and honestly did not care about anything I had to say. I am pretty sure that a company cannot charge two separate amounts for looking and actually cleaning, as well as charging for both a drop off and pick up of equipment. I will be contacting my attorney. I will not pay the bill now and I urge people not to use this company, very shady if you ask me.

Description of Work: We had a water problem in the basement. They gave us an estimate for drying the carpet and to sanitize the basement and also to check for mold.
