So, with a drive to help others and a vast understanding of mold myth and fact, I started Mold Mentor. Today, my company offers mold consulting, remediation, inspection and testing. We provide professional and unbiased advice—even if that means telling a potential customer that they don’t need our services. When there is a problem, we help identify conditions that lead to mold contamination and offer solutions to correct them. Our services are affordable and effective. And as a member in good standing, we adhere to MICRO’s strong code of ethics. Mold Mentor is a proud recipient of the Angie's list Super Service Award 2018 and 2019. Our goal is always to work in your best interest and never, ever profit from fear. I began my career as a home inspector where I learned quite a bit about what goes on behind the walls of houses old and new. I went on to manage a mold remediation franchise and saw a need for more honest service providers in this industry. After becoming a certified mold professional, I knew it was time to fulfill a lifelong dream of starting my own business. Mold Mentor was born. As a dedicated family man with five children and an incredible wife, I am thrilled every time my company is able to help another family reclaim a healthy home.

Had musty midlew/moldy smell eminating from bathroom shower due to some previous water penetrating compromised grout seam. No visible mold/mildew, so wanted to get expert opinion if there could be an issue behind the tile with the backer board. Zach responded to my call the same day and came out two days later per scheduled time. Zach did a thorough eval of the shower, bathroom area, checked for leaks in the drain pipe & checked other possible sources of mold in related parts of the house. Nothing abnormal was found, so Zach recommended taking inside/outside air samples to test for abnormal mold spore presence. Samples were sent to a lab for testing & results were received the next day. Results were normal, so this eliminated the issue of mold/mildew growth for the most part, without having to tear out parts of the shower to see what was back there.

Zach and team did an excellent job removing a mold issue but then also through thorough examination removing mold from other surfaces. Reasonably priced great team to work with. I highly recommend Mold Mentor and would use again.

We had called a few other companies, but Zach was definitely our top pick and was top notch. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was super responsive throughout the project. When he first scoped the project, he met at a time that was convenient for us because we had to juggle schedules. He spent time to explain the mold remediation process. He was quick to get us on the schedule, and he kept us posted day of so we knew exactly when he was going to arrive and how long the job would take. Outside temperatures were absolutely freezing that day and thus in the attic as well, but he tackled the job with gusto. When I peaked into the attic to see how it looked, the wood looked like new! The basement looked a lot better too - he had treated the mildew along the floor and removed some growth in places where there was poor ventilation. We did have an unexpected issue with a nail popping through the ceiling in the living room. When I emailed him about it, he called me immediately and offered to fix it. Outstanding service! I'm definitely recommending Zach to a friend of mine and will recommend to others when asked. Thank you Zach!

I can’t say enough about how Zach with Mold Mentor saved my life. I had been through a personal, heartbreaking tragedy, and then on top of that, I had broken my ankle and had surgery. All in the space of three months my life collapsed in on me. And then....I realized I had a situation in my basement! It was unimaginable what I was going through. Zach was my first contact. He was thorough, professional, caring, and exactly what I needed. And I knew that not only he cared about me, but he cared about making sure that he was able to do what needed to be done and to carry it out effectively. He carried out his work in true integrity. He and his assistant came in and moved everything out that need to be moved out, and efficiently provided the professional kind of service that I needed. When I came home it was immaculate. Such a huge relief! If you are looking for somebody who can empathize with you and walk you through the process, and keep things in line economically, Zach is your answer. My household is in the middle of unplanned reconstruction following a dishwasher leak in April and a water main leak in the basement in September. I have been dealing with countless contractors and service people, and most range from bad to worse. So a shout out to this company for OUTSTANDING service is appropriate. Zach Duffey was a true stand out in this process in resolving the basement issue. Zach was responsive, professional, and an excellent listener. He provided water mitigation as well as safe removal of moldy carpet and panelling in a timely way. He was never less than 100% honest and 100% thorough. He provided all documentation and itemization necessary for quick and painless resolution with my insurance company. I highly recommend Zach to anyone who needs to address clean up after leaks or who needs to address mold.

They did a mold test where they checked the moisture outside of my condo and then inside. Zach told me if the levels were much higher inside then I could have a problem. The results came back good, so no mold. Was very happy to hear. Zach was very easy to deal with and very professional. I would definitely recommend mold mentor and would use them again if I had another issue.

Zach and his crew responded promptly to my request. He came out to clean up an area of visible water damage/mold that had resulted in the unfinished side of my basement. He took the time to answer my questions regarding spore containment, moisture management, etc. When talking about future options for other mold found in my basement he took into account my health and financial situation to let me choose an ideal solution for my mold problem. Zach from Mold Mentor was awesome. He replied to my request for an inspection almost immediately, and was able to work me into his schedule within a couple of days. His communication was excellent, and he arrived exactly when he said he would. Our home had several concerning areas in the basement floor joists and rim joist where water intrusion had caused some severe rot and dark discoloration. Zach performed a thorough and professional inspection of the entire basement. He was actually able to make DIY reccomendations for me to remedy everything on my own. Zach was very informative, and did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. He certainly put my mind at ease, and it was refreshing to deal with someone with such integrity. I can wholeheartedly reccomend Mold Mentor to anyone looking for a mold professional they can trust.

I emailed him on Saturday and then I texted him on Sunday and he called me on Sunday. So he responded very quickly, very professional, the pricing was reasonable and hes flexible. He's willing to answer your question on a level you can understand, he take his time when he talks you and explain things to you.
