Description of Work: They totally gutted and re-did our second floor upstairs.

 + 3 moreI've recommended this company to my friends and a couple coworkers who were looking for a contractor. My wife and I plan to add a deck to the back of our house next year and we decided on using the Midland Group again based on their professionalism and quality work.
Description of Work: Midland Group came in to do a ceramic tile job in our kitchen and ended up remodeling the entire room. Along with the tile they did work on our plumbing, replaced the existing countertops with solid surface Wilsonart countertops, and also did some cabinetry wood work. They worked fast, efficiently, and even though they were remodeling an entire room, kept the area very neat and tidy. The most important thing after the price was the fact that they showed up when they said they were going to show up and focused on getting the work done. We didn't see extra guys standing around doing nothing, they were working to get the project done in the time they stated at the on-set of the project. After they completed the kitchen work for us, they removed some laminate flooring the previous owner had laid in the entryway near the front door. They repaired and refinished the hardwood floors that were underneath the laminate so that it matched the rest of the house.

 + -1 moreEverything was smooth. Very professional and timely. We have had several of their employees, including the owner out to do various tasks, and liked each member of the team.
Description of Work: The midland group did a wide variety of remodeling work, and several upgrades to our home. They did work on our garage, our paved walkway, and in our home.

 + -1 moreJOHN WAS QUITE PROFICIENT IN COMPLETING ALL THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE ORIGINAL IDEA OF LIGHTING WOULD NOT WORK IN OUR HALLWAY AND JOHN WAS ABLE TO HELP WITH CREATIVE SUGGESTIONS TO MEET OUR NEEDS. WORK WAS COMPLETED IN 8 HOURS AND WE ARE SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK, THE INTEGRITY OF THE COMPANY AND PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE ASPECTS OF COMPLETING THE WORK. THEY WERE PATIENT AND FRIENDLY ANSWERING ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS HONESTLY.
Description of Work: MIDLAND GROUP TO BE A VERY DEPENDABLE AND RELIABLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH. WORKERS WERE PUNCTUAL FOR BOTH THE ESTIMATE AND COMPLETING THE WORK. JIM CAME OUT TO ESTIMATE THE TIME AND COST OF THE WORK I NEEDED TO COMPLETE. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE TO WORK WITH AND DID NOT PRESSURE US INTO DOING ANY MODIFICATIONS OR EXTRAS THAT WE DID NOT WANT. I HAD THEM INSTALL AN EXHAUST FAN IN THE BATHROOM, A CEILING FAN AND LIGHT IN A BEDROOM, RE-DO THE DRYER VENT IN THE CRAWLSPACE TO THE OUTSIDE AND INSTALL NEW LIGHTING IN THE HALLWAY. JIM ESTIMATED ALL WORK TO TAKE APPROXIMATELY 8-10 HOURS TO COMPLETE. THERE WAS A LOT OF CRAWLING IN THE ATTIC, WORKING AROUND DUCT WORK AND SUCH. ALSO, DRYER VENT REMOVED AND REINSTALLED WOULD TAKE SOME TIME DUE TO THE ROOM UNDER THE HOUSE. I AGREED TO PAY UP TO 10 HOURS OF WORK. JOHN WAS ON TIME WITH THE CORRECT MATERIALS. HE DID AN EXPERT JOB OF EXPLAINING THE WORK HE WOULD BE DOING, WHERE HE NEEDED TO GO TO GET IT DONE AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE.
