It was delivered punctually. I would say that while we asked for a cord, we actually got more than that and the wood was of excellent quality. She does not stack the wood; just dumps it on a designated spot.

They were hard to get a hold of at first, but finally delivered and stacked the firewood. Unfortunately, it wasn't seasoned firewood as advertised. And since they won't respond to our calls to rectify the problem, we'll have to wait till next year to use this wood. Disappointing.

Prompt delivery, courteous service, and an easy transaction, but the product was not what I wanted. I wanted to use the wood this winter, but it's a sizzling sappy mess. Most (I'd estimate more than 70%) of the wood was unseasoned.

I've used McClain's in the past and have never been disappointed with the quality of wood. I had another load delivered yesterday - arrived on time, and the wood looks great.

The wood was delivered promptly. Although I have not tried to burn it, the wood appears to be seasoned and cut to the right size. It appears to be a full cord.

Gave me just the date for delivery, not a time, but I work from home so I never asked to nail down a specific time. They showed up first thing in the AM, dumped and stacked the wood, even in the snow flurries.

Delivery was right on time. I had some spare heavy duty rubber mats, which I had the wood dumped on to keep wood chips and lawn damage to a minimum. Quality of wood is very good, with only a few oversize or imperfect logs. Firewood is not completely seasoned, which is to be expected at this time of year. Company insisted on payment in cash. Overall experience is very good and I will plan on buying firewood from them again in the future.

They delivered on time. They dump the wood where ever you want them to and then they go away! It's very simple.

I ordered 1 cord of wood over the telephone from a woman who was very professional. She told me the price and was able to schedule me for delivery within a week. I asked her to confirm that it was dried/seasoned hardwood and asked her about the length of the pieces. She listed off all of the wood types and told me that they were all hard woods. She went on to say that the wood was well seasoned. The pieces, she told me would be 17 x 18 inches in length. She asked me where I wanted the delivery dumped and told her that I wanted the wood next to a pair of 8ft long 2 x 4's I had placed on the right hand side of the garage when facing the house. The delivery was made on time, as promised, and the wood is of good quality with a variety of sizes provided. But, they dumped the wood in the driveway in front of my garage door. This placement mad the job of stacking this wood much more difficult than I had anticipated. There were also quite a few pieces of wood that were 19 -22 inches long. These will not fit in my wood stove and I do not have a saw to cut these pieces to fit. I called them the following morning and shared my disappointment with the placement of the delivery and with the length of many of the pieces. I asked them to come out and replace all of the pieces that were 19 inches or longer, they readily agreed. There were 77 pieces of wood that I had stacked next to my driveway that needed to be replaced. They came out two days later and replaced these pieces and stacked them in my rack.

Called for wood. Returned call the following week. Delivered wood within 48 hours of actual live contact. The delivery went well. They dumped wood where I specified. I asked for a variety of pieces and a lot of kindling. Most pieces will fit in our wood stove. Some will have to be split some more in order to fit. The wood is seasoned and burns well without a lot of smoke.

Person who handled my call to inquire about and then place a firewood order was friendly. Able to deliver within a couple of days of order, which was a pleasant surprise right before Christmas. Load arrived roughly an hour late, but bad weather made this understandable. Good mix of reasonably well-seasoned cord of wood. Pieces reasonably sized and cut. Volume looked right for a cord; no reason to believe I was shorted, Load dumped as I requested and I wheelbarrowed and stacked it later.

They responded and delivered the wood immediately. Good quality, nicely cut firewood.

Great. They provided quality firewood. We set a time for the delivery. They ended up running a little early and called for permission to arrive early. Very friendly.

They did not show on the original date. I could not reach anyone in person so my only recourse was to leave a message. After wasting several hours of my time waiting I received a phone call the next day. It had slipped through the cracks. They did show up on the next appointment. The quality of wood was OK with a wide range in size which made it difficult to stack. It was also not dry.

They delivered on time and dropped it where we asked. Wood seems in good shape-good mix of types and sizes.

They delivered on time, they charged the price that they said they would, and the firewood was of good quality, I would hire them again if needed.

The wood was of good quality -- mixed hardwoods including red oak, maple, hickory, walnut, etc. and the length and width of the split wood was good for stacking. They also included many pieces that were smaller kindling size. My only complaint was that the wood was not well seasoned. The wood was not dry and I had a very difficult time getting it to burn. I called and they seemed concerned and told me they usually include a mix of older (dryer) wood and newer (greener) wood. They said they would either pick it up and give me a refund, or deliver some additional dry wood. I had already stacked the wood and didn t want to do that again so I asked them to deliver a small amount of dry wood. I waited 2 weeks and no wood arrived. I called them again and they delivered the wood later that day.

I emailed McClain's and several other local companies that I found on Angie's List to get a quote on firewood. McClain's called me back first. The lady I spoke to was polite and responsive. I asked about getting a 1/2 cord of wood delivered to the Hilliard area. At first she was not sure if they would deliver that far for a 1/2 cord but called me back a few minutes later and said they would do it that day. When I got home, the wood was stacked neatly on my patio as requested. The wood is burning fine although some of it could use a little more seasoning.

Excellent. The driver showed up on time. Wood was in excellent condition. Very courteous and tidy.
