I emailed late in the evening and unfortunately they hadn't had time confirm my early appointment. Since my issue needed immediate attention, I decided to drop by to see what they could do, on the off chance they could work me in. As luck had it, they could! I was on a tight timeline they were already busy, but Tim was confident he could take care of my problem in time. So I headed to the waiting area. They fixed my problem! In a little over an hour, the bracket was no longer dragging on the ground and it was reattached. Even though the dangling end was broken/torn, they were able to reuse it. We can never say enough good words about Tim and his team. Even though I was a drop-in, he was very extremely courteous and willing to help me resolve my issue. Since he was able to resolve the issue without buying new parts, I was only charged for the labor. If you are looking for honest people to resolve your automotive problems, Hometown is the place to go! They will diagnose and fix your issues as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Their waiting area is like home too! Coffee/beverages, nice comfy couches, TV and toys for the kids, and a work desk with wifi so you can get some work done while waiting. Thanks for taking care of us Hometown!

Brought my 2006 F150 to Hometown back in July of 2016 to get a quote on a new engine. They were very helpful and willing but the price was apples to apples with what Ford had quoted me prior to bringing it in. Wanting to support a family owned local business and get the extra personal touch I chose to go ahead with Hometown. They were prompt and did a nice job. I had them put a new Jasper engine in that came with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. A couple month later my truck wouldn't start when I came out of a restraunt less than 2 miles from Hometown. I gave them a call and they were very nice and came to help. It was a bad alternator, things like this happen in older trucks. When they gave me the quote of $500 I thanked them but wanted to get a few more quotes because I had no clue what these things cost. The owner immediately got offended that I would even consider calling around first and told me how trust worthy and reputable he and his shop were and reminded me how he came to my aid and he didn't even want my business if I was going to call around (WOW! RED FLAG) I wish I had recorded this grown man whining. I politely offered to go with him if his price was competitive he began to rant and complain and informed me of the service fee he would charge which I expected. Needless to say the customer service experience was quickly in decline. I did call around and received a quote to do it for $400 from a reputable shop (that doesn't charge a diagnostic fee by the way) I had been to before but due to having to pay Hometowns diagnostic fee it would have only saved me a few dollars and my truck was already there. So I went with hometown. Since then My transmission had to be rebuilt which I went to One Call Auto for (I've wish I had him put my engine in - I have always enjoyed having my cars done there) He notified me my computer was throwing signals for my intake manifold but not to worry until a light came on but to be aware, and if it did come on to take it back to Hometown. Well it came on Yesterday! I took it in because remember, 3 year warranty on my $8000 engine 7 months later AND, to even look at it Hometown told me I would have to pay $110. I asked if the manifold was under warranty they said if it was I would still have to pay the $110 either way. For them to tell me my manifold is bad would cost me $110!!! Ridiculous. One call Auto told me to bring it in and they would diagnose it free of charge. I said that wasn't necessary he said "no, you are worth it" (need I say more) anyways I write this to say that Even though Hometown may stand behind their work they only stand behind it as long as you are willing to pay $110 every time they look at their work. And FYI I had the manifold replace from Firestone (have the reciept) 3 months before the engine was replace. I'm willing to pay to get my truck fixed. I've spent a lot of money on it. Problem came down to customer service and standing behind their work. $110 even if it was their fault is not a good warranty. I can see paying $110 if it ended up being something not under warranty but just so everyone knows a warranty with Hometown comes with a $110 "deductible" everytime.

Did a great job on the detail. All surfaces were dealt with as they should be --door jambs and wheel wells for instance. Very thorough! I can tell you I just had our other vehicle detailed by another very highly rated mobile company who charges even more and he did not do as good of a job as Hometown Service Center. Hometown actually uses the clay bar as advertised (you can tell by how smooth the lower panels are). With the other guy, 'the doctor', I paid for clay bar treatment etc.. but I clearly did not get it. I use others' at times to see what else is out there and to learn. I learned that I will be back to Hometown the next time I need a detailing.

I went to another auto repair shop and they told me I needed a $6000,00 repair, I took it to Tim at Home Town and he identified and fixed issue for $500.00.  Very honest and quick service.

I neglected to wax the car before cold weather set in so I called for an appointment and arranged for an exterior + windows detail.  I called a week ahead of the available appointment times so got just the day and time I wanted.  (They are busy so plan to call well in advance of when you want the work done.)
Greeted by friendly owner Tim at 7:30 AM.  He showed me the nice clean waiting room.  I walked into town for breakfast and upon returning, enjoyed talking with a couple of other old guys who were waiting for mechanical work to be done.  They were long-time fans of Hometown too.  The work was done earlier than I expected, although in all fairness a Mini Cooper does not have a lot of body to polish.  The work was excellent.  Of course with my luck it was raining but when I got home I could tell the wax job was good - all body parts were beaded with water and wiped off easily with a towel.
Exterior was $75 plus tax and tip.  I willingly rounded it off to $100 and charged with my VISA card.
I've used Hometown service a few times  for both detail and mechanical work and have always been satisfied with their professionalism and friendliness.
Note:  Several of his employees have been with Tim K. for a really long time.  I believe this speaks well for both experienced mechanics and honest professionalism.

Did the work and recommended other areas of repair.  Always fair with quality work.  Very conscientious.

The end product was fine, but I brought in the driveshaft (already removed) with the back universal joint already out.  I needed the front u-joint pressed out and two new u-joints pressed in.  An hour's worth of labor seemed pretty high considering I had completed most of the work myself.  Then I had forgot to mention the Angie's list coupon.  I contacted them the next day to get that amount credited back and was told that this was not possible.

Done same day.  Excellent job.  No more problems after they worked on car.

We moved to Westerville about 3 years ago and I started going to a Toyota dealer for service.  After multiple problems with their service I really wanted to find a local service provider who I felt would treat me fairly and be someone I could trust. I really feel very comfortable with Tim at Hometown Service and we have used them for all our auto repair needs. Their prices are competitive, not cheap, but fair. I would much rather give my business to someone local who I can trust. I also like that they provide bikes (or cars) for their customers while their cars are being serviced. They have done multiple services on our Toyota Prius and Ford Ranger and we have always been pleased with their service.

While I waited (a very short time) I enjoyed free internet, free Kurig coffee and cable TV in their waiting area, which is the nicest I have ever seen.  I always take my vehicles (both personal and commercial) to Hometown.  They are trustworthy, reasonably priced, and still remember what customer service should be like.
