 I needed repair work on my Grandfather Clock beyond the annual cleaning.  I called in November hoping to have the repair performed before company was due the first week in December.  The repairman removed the inner workings of the clock and took them back to the shop.  I had to call for an update as the anticipated return date came and went.  The clock was put back together shortly before Christmas.  I have had annual cleanings performed by the Grandfather Clock company and they did an excellent job - I think this experience was more of a fluke.  Their rates are comparable to others.  They are friendly and professional.  I tend to have a problem with my chimes sounding a little off after they've done their cleaning, but that has happened with other services as well.  I think it must be common to this clock.

They were outstanding. I spent around $200 on that work. The clock had not been used in 10 years and had stopped. He fixed the chimes, adjusted it and made the clock spin. It is an 80 years old clock that we had bought from Germany and he had the expertise and knowledge to give us information about it and was able to fix it.

They serviced the clock very well and handled it well too. They brought it back when they said they would. The people were very nice. The quality or their work was very good, and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them to others and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Dropped clock off, she said it would be 6 - 8 weeks and it was. They did a good job, the clock has performed fine since then and keeps excellent time. A little expensive I thought but the clock works well and I would use them again.

The company returned my call promptly. The job was checked and the price estimated. The repair was done in a timely manner, and the clock works perfectly now.

I thought that they not only did everything they needed, but did everything that I wanted them to do. It was reasonably priced and they did such a good job.

The service was absolutely marvelous. He explained all the things I could do to keep it in good running condition. No one has ever done that before. I really appreciated that. It was really a blessing to have them out and I will use them every year now.

I dropped the clock off and was told that I would have approx. a six week wait. They called at five weeks with a very clear and precise estimate. I returned the call the next day and was profusely thanked for the courtesy. How sad that this was unusual! My clock is not fancy or pretty, but has some sentimental value as it is older and has been in the family. The needed repairs were clearly explained. I was called about 3 weeks later and picked up the clock, using my discount coupon from Angie's List, I was charged what I was quoted. The staff was really friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend them. They treated me very well and I will go back. The clock sounds much better, works much better, and I am very happy.

Bernie clearly knows clocks and clock works. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. He arrived on time both when he picked up the clocks and when he returned them. He answered all our questions and was polite, courteous and professional while he was working. He pointed out the parts of the clocks that had been rebuilt and demonstrated how to wind and maintain the clocks. He took the time to make certain the clocks were working and keeping accurate time and explained that the work was under warranty. He cleaned up before leaving and went out of his way to make certain we were satisfied before he left. The original estimate was "spot on" and we are completely satisfied with the service we received from Grandfather Clock Company.

We received my grandfather's Grandfather clock when he died. It hadn't worked for several years prior. The Grandfather Clock Company was able to rebuild the inside parts so we were able to enjoy it once again. It did take a few weeks from the day I set the appointment until they were able to service the clock, and once they took the insides, it was several weeks until we saw the clock again (I'm thinking about 8 weeks). But we so enjoy listening to it now. Just shy of a year (there is a one year warranty) it stopped working properly. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it promptly and parts/work were covered under the warranty.

Bernie performed work in about half an hour - and recommended reasonable servicing intervals. Very professional.

I TOOK IT IN TO BE REPAIRED. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST $65 FOR CLEANING AND ADJUSTING AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE BETWEEN 4 AND 15 WEEKS. IT ENDED UP TAKING ABOUT 8 WEEKS AND AFTER CALLING A FEW TIMES, THEY 'RUSHED' IT FOR ME. AFTER GETTING IT HOME, I NOTICED THAT IT STILL HAD THE SAME SQUEAK. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY WORKED ON IT SOME MORE, BUT WERE UNABLE TO ELIMINATE THE SQUEAK, THOUGH THEY KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT. THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL, BUT I HAVE A REAL PROBLEM WITH HAVING TO WAIT SO LONG FOR A REPAIR. I ALSO THINK THE COST IS HIGH FOR WHAT THEY DID. I MAY USE THEM AGAIN SINCE I KNOW THAT THEY NORMALLY DO GOOD WORK. I WILL OBJECT TO ANY ESTIMATE OF TIME THAT APPROACHES THE 4 TO 15 WEEKS THAT I WAS QUOTED. THEY HAVE RECENTLY RELOCATED TO DOWNTOWN WESTERVILLE.
