The job was started on time as promised. The hope was that the under cement was good and would not need to be replaced. This turned out not to be the case. The masons quickly arranged for the removal of the cement base and worked weekends to pour the new cement base. Along the way they noticed a water drainage problem which they corrected and recommended a garage floor repair to assure that water did not back flow into the garage...a problem that was becoming worse with time. They also recommend a short wall to edge the driveway to prevent soil from moving onto the drive way. While the entire job took more time because the cement base had to be replace, they still finished by the third week in May, my goal so I could plant summer annuals. They returned about three weeks later to seal the entire driveway and walkways. Rain did not permit this to be done sooner. Overall we were very satisfied with the work. Numerous neighbors have stopped by to admire the driveway.
Description of Work: We had a 30 year old brick and mortor driveway and walkways with a concrete base that had deteriorated and had to be replaced. The old brick and cement base was demolished and removed. New concrete was set and paver brick was mortored on top of cement with sand between bricks. The entire surface was sealed.
