We have used Cryan for numerous vet services in the past. Most recently we had a rabies shot and distemper booster for one of our dogs. The staff at Cryan are extremely friendly and helpful and very compassionate in times of distress. The staff genuinely cares for each animal that comes through their facility. They are upfront about what services are necessary vs what they recommend and how much each service costs. While they want to provide the absolute best care for each animal, they are understanding for people who need to budget services. They also provide boarding services at a very competitive rate. They are very careful to follow any special instructions and every time we have used their boarding our dog has come back healthy and happy!
I would highly recommend them for any animal care services!

Stabilized pet could not diagnose illness.
Response from Cryan Veterinary Hospital
"We are sorry that this client felt that we were unable to diagnose their pet, unfortunately it took a significant amount of work to stabilize her. After stabilizing her we were not given permission to do the diagnostics required to diagnose the pet for the underlying cause of the illness. We understand that financial considerations can be a hindrance to some clients and always do our best to offer multiple options for care. Unfortunately sometimes diagnostic tests or exploratory surgery are the only way we can successfully diagnose what is ailing a pet."

They're really good. They're very personable and kind of "old-school", and I appreciate that with the number of pets that I have. You get into some of the newer vets that are very high-tech and costly, and everything they offer is top of the line (which is great), but sometimes, you just need a simple vet visit. That can be harder to come by than you think. As an example, without mentioning the other vet, which was also referred to me: Two of the dogs that I have I got from a rescue, and they came to us with some serious health issues, which we already knew about. The vet that we went to was very critical of the previous treatments that they had received, saying that those procedures weren't used anymore. One of the dogs has chronic ear infections because of a deformity that she has. They put a scope in, and put it all up on video.. Every time I would go my bill would be like $400. I don't need to see. You can look at a dogs ear, see that it's infected, put medicine in it and be done. They also recommended plastic surgery for my dog! Sometimes you just want vet care. This vet is very personable. They're more passionate about the actual animal care. They're very good. Their hours are good. They're open seven to seven. They're open on weekends, and anytime I've ever had a problem, or an emergency situation with the older dogs they've been able to get is right in. It's really good.

We've been going there for 7 or 8 years with all our pets. We've had to put a couple of pets down and they have been real convenient. Somebody even came in on a Sunday to put our dog down at one point. They go out of their way.

There are probably 4 or 5 doctors at this location. I have seen 2 of the doctors so far. They are wonderful to my dog. We are able to get flee and heartworm supplies during her exam. I also went another time to get x-rays for my dog and had to get special antibiotics and food for her. They were able to fit me in within 24 hours from when I called. I was pleased with how responsive and accommodating they were with my schedule. We were even able to go in on a Saturday before they closed.

We have another dog, then we've had 2 cats, they are very easy to work with and very knowledgeable, very good. They actually made appointment for a dog that was suffering, making an out of office day, but trying to figure this week. They're price wise, they're not pushy, they wanted you to take care of your animals.

Dr. Emily Hoffman is the primary vet for us, but they do have 6 veterinarians in there.

Upon moving to the Westerville area, finding a good vet was as important to us as finding doctors for ourselves. I asked some coworkers and friends, and the atmosphere at Cryan sounded like one that we would like - not a big, expanding business, but a low key clinic geared towards the animals. We've been there several times and have been very happy with the service. They are able to get us in right away, which is very nice. You can tell that everyone there loves animals, from the vets to the person at the front desk when we come in. Their diagnostics of what is wrong with our dogs or cats has been spot on. I am not sure how their prices compare to other clinics in the area, but they seem reasonable compared to the city where we moved from.

They are very kind. One thing I liked best about it was that I felt like they didn't write my dog off until it was done. They didn't stick her in a corner. They actually sedated her first so she would be sleepy, so she wasn't afraid. Dr. Hoffman is the one I always see. If my dog doesn't want to get up on the table she gets down on the floor with her. She does whatever she can to make them more comfortable. The overall experience was excellent. The quality of work was excellent. I would use this practice again.

The technician talked to us about the issue and the doctor told us what we should do for a sick cat. They did what they were expected to do. We use them all the time.

The Vet and all staff were extremely kind/helpful. They spent lots of time with us. They were very engaged and informative. I always felt like I was being price gouged at our last vet. Cryan's prices seemed very fair and they didn't try to provide any services that weren't necessary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
