I spoke with someone over the phone and the same person called me back the day berfore to remind me of the appointment. The day of, the man coming to the house called me to tell me he was on his way, then called me back to tell me he was all finished. He went above and beyond! I had asked for an estimate and because the job was a quick and easy fix, he went ahead and fixed it without charging me. As soon as I got off the phone with him, i jumped on Angie's list to give this company an outstanding review.
Description of Work: The Soffit over my front door was drooping and looked like it was going to fall out very soon. I called this company because they specifically said "soffit repair" in their description of services provided. I requested someone come out and look at it and give me an estimate for the repair.

+ -1 moreI had a roof leak in my front door threshold in January and B & T responded to my call for help within a few hours. They found a section of roof where it meets the upper level wall had rotted through and water was running down behind the wall and coming out in my doorway. They pulled the siding back and put a temporary ice guard flashing behind the wall and stopped the leak until the weather warmed up enough to perform the necessary repairs to the roof and wall. These guys were lifesavers and I would use them again.
Description of Work: It was January 11th and we were getting a pretty good rain shower and I had a roof leak in the middle of my main door to the house.

They were also very attentive to cleanliness. They were friendly and they were exactly what you should look for in a quality company.
Description of Work: They installed a damper vent in the main master bathroom. They had to go in through the front of the house through the roof. I was nervous about how it would make the house look, but I think that it looks fine and they did not have to replace any shingles.

We're always pleased with their responsiveness & work. They immediately checked the roof when we called. Able Roof didn't check the roof & just told me to call my insurance company to have the whole roof replaced.

+ -1 moreWe noticed water marks on our ceiling in a bedroom upstairs and assumed our roof was leaking. I called B&T Roofing and set up an appointment for later in the morning of the same day for an estimate. The representative arrived exactly on time and went up on the roof to investigate. When he came down he explained our problem was not the shingles but an exhaust pipe boot that was old and not sealing properly. He showed pictures of the problem and quoted us a very reasonable price that we accepted. He said he could arrange to fix the problem in 2 days and we agreed. The next day we received a call that someone was available that day to fix the problem and he came out and did just that very quickly. In addition he brought a second boot and repaired another pipe before we would have a problem with it. Surprisingly there was no additional charge for the second boot.

+ 0 moreB&T Roofing Ltd were on time coming out for the estimate, they had replaced my roof about 4 years ago, they cleaned up and they explained everything as they were doing it and they were professional and the work looks good. I was expecting to pay more but they were reasonable. I have no complaints whatsoever about them.
Description of Work: I used B&T Roofing Ltd. I had a loose soffit and a missing soffit in the front of the house and I had some siding that was loose and they corrected the soffit so that it wouldn't come out again. They also fixed the sidings as well.

Estimate was not the lowest but relied on other "word of mouth" and the fact the owners were local Westerville-based.. Complete roof work including new gutters & down spouts. Roof was incorrectly installed with under boards wavy due to previous work done by a company that is no longer in business. B&T roofing replaced shingles and under roofing. Clean-up afterwards by work crew was appropriate. We are considering using B&T Roofing again for future attic insulation needs.

+ 0 moreThey showed up on time and were honest about the roof-life and recommended fixing it instead of replacing the whole thing. Not only did he figure out where the leaks were coming from but he found a few other issues that arose from the improper installation of the shingles we have (oh joy, story of my life with this house). It was cool because he brought a digital camera with him, he took pictures of the issues and was then able to show me what he was talking about. He spent a lot of time checking out our roof before he put the estimate together. We had another company come out to give us an estimate but they spent a quick 10-min checking things out and didn't really catch as much. He also wouldn't guarantee he could fix the leak. Then he gave us an estimate that was twice the price. We decided to go with B&T because they seemed more thorough. We were a little delayed getting the roof fixed due to an ice storm but they called and communicated this clearly. They rescheduled for the following Saturday to get the work done on a day that was safer for them to be on the roof. We are happy with the install, they matched the new shingles pretty close to the original color and the mortar in the chimney is fairly close as well. We are sure in a year or so once the sun and weather gets to both they will blend in better - just the nature of those products. We will be calling them in a few years when it's time to replace the roof!
Description of Work: We had a leak coming from our attic into one of the bedrooms. We also had a HUGE leak in our garage. They fixed those leaks, replace the metal valley, repaired some loose plywood and shingles. They also re-grouted portions of our chimney. They spent about 7-hours running around the top of my house.

+ 0 moreThis is the third time I have used B&T Roofing and have always been more than satisfied. As soon as I discovered the leak, I called the company and Robert came out on the next working day (Dec. 10) to give me an estimate. Because of my previous positive experiences with the company, I had him schedule the work. Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worse and we had nearly a month of either rain or snow. When I called to check on the status of the job, Robert told me they had been by the house and seen that there was still too much snow on the roof for them to safely work. As soon as the snow was gone, they came and did the job and replaced the area; it looks very nice and matches the shingles much better than the previous metal piece. In addition, the work cost me nearly $400.00 less than when the same repair was done about 10 years ago. I will need a new roof within the next few years and fully expect to have B&T Roofing do the job.
Description of Work: Repair metal piece on roof over a portion of the front porch; water was leaking onto front porch because of the problem.

When we were ready to proceed with the project, we were scheduled within two days. They actually arrived around an hour earlier than scheduled and were finished in less than an hour. It was a pleasure to watch rainwater runoff flow properly during the next storm.
Description of Work: Resecured gutters on entire house and garage using 5" hidden hangers. Made sure gutters were aligned correctly. Installed "birds nest" covers over downspout openings. Cleared gutters and downspouts of obstructions.

+ -1 moreOverall the job went well. Robert the supervisor is very professional and very responsive and easy to work with. The workers put on the wrong shingles so they had to return to correct this problem. This was not a mistake as they were told ahead of time what shingles needed to be put on the color and everything. They replaced a gray roof with black shingles. The company's owners and supervisor were responsible and professional about this problem and it was resolved quickly.
Description of Work: Old flashing and roofing shingles removed all around chimney. Removed and replaced rotten wood. New step flashing installed. New back pan installed. Sealed/caulk and waterproofed chimney.

He met with insurance adjuster several weeks later and went up on the roof with him... He furnished a reasonable quote in a timely fashion.. We have complex roof on a large home he installed the roof And cleaned up in very professional manor... I will recommend him without reservation. Everyone I spoke with in his office was responsive as well

Description of Work: I noticed it was leaking inside the house, on the 2nd floor, in the rear bedroom, when it was raining, back in January of 2012. I just had my roof done in August of 2010 - with this being the 4th roof I've had put on since 1996, ( it was a friend's, son's, company that had put it on, with tear off, ridge venting was done, etc), I decided I had enough with being " ripped off " with this roof - this shouldn't be happening to the point where I needed pans to catch the water. I checked Angie's List this time and liked the reviews I seen for B&T ROOFING & called to get an estimate. They came out - if I remember right - within 24 hours, they tarped the rear chimney and emailed the estimate to me within 2 - 3 days, (for the work that needed to be done, I was satisfied with the amount approximately $1025.00). The workers arrived on time, worked efficiently and professionally, keeping me informed as to what they were seeing - even took pictures for me, with my camera, so that I could see exactly what it was they were going to need to repair - a REAL plus, plus for me😄!!! The tarp was like $20.00 and was a good "temporary" fix for a few months (the key word here is " temporary " ). As spring, summer, & now fall came around, I repeatedly kept forgetting about getting the roof work done, as it no longer leaked inside - then "Sandy" blew by. While cleaning up the mess "she" left behind in the yard, I kept seeing these blue threads, not quite getting a clue 😜(duh), I continued with the clean-up. A few days later, I went to retrieve something out of the 2nd floor bedroom ( it was raining on that particular day ) while I was in there, a drop of water hit my head - OMG, that was the tarp shreds that I was seeing in the yard - after all it was only " temporary " . I called B&T ROOFING and spoke with Heather, who was more than helpful. She was able to pull my estimate ( which was only good for 30 days, back in January - it's now November). I asked if they needed to come out & do another estimate or if they could give me another estimate on what they had from the previous visit. Heather stated that she didn't know how that particular situation would be handled but she would have someone get back with me later on today. Heather was very nice to me and professional on the phone. I do realize that prices have changed and that my roof being the way it is now, is my fault, I totally forgot about it when the roof didn't leak anymore with the "temporary" fix B&T ROOFING had done for me when they gave me an estimate the 1st time I had them out ( BTW good job guys 😊,after all it was only "temporary" , I knew that then...big oversight on my part I don't blame anyone else but me 😢). I look forward to doing business with them again and I will let you know how my repair experience went.

Robert Bills (sales rep) was very punctual in arriving for a scheduled appointment to look over the house and give me an estimate. The team leader (Steve) of the sub-contract crew that came out to install the roof was very courteous and professional. The crew was working non-stop each day until past 7:30 pm. Todd Nicholson came over each day to check on the progress. He even came after the job was complete to adjust one of my gutters, which had a steeper slant to it than was needed. I'm pretty happy with the job done. The house looks nicer with the new roof.
