First, I need to note that I'm reviewing this service several years after the fact, and I can't recall the price exactly ($200 was a guess). But, I do remember choosing this provider because I found him to be the best price for the service we wanted. We aimed to catch a skunk but ended up catching all sorts of other creatures before we got our main culprit. He was very fair with the pricing when catching so many unintended animals. He was also helpful with tips and strategies to adjust the trapping plan when we weren't quite catching who were wanted. We still got results quickly - I think within a week or two, and we were pleased. We had a good experience with this company.

WOW! What a terrific experience. There is a wooded lot behind my new house and animals come in over the fence, hang out under my deck, and occasionally tear down the birdfeeder, destroy things and make a mess. I am pretty much 'live and let live' but I'd had a mama raccoon and her 'teens' prowling my yard all summer and getting VERY bold. They would even rattle the screen door at night, get muddy paw prints on deck furniture, try to get into the garbage can, and come up to stare into the house! I wanted them off the property before they decided to move in for the winter. I also had rabbits, a large groundhog, a skunk and etc coming and going; I wanted to clear out everything from under the deck before Fall. At my last house, my neighbor had raccoons several years in a row in her attic and I know it wasn't good.
Dave was just great. He's smart, funny, very polite, knowledgeable and easy going. The response time for phone calls, etc was excellent. The 'teens' were caught immediately and Dave whisked them away. He thought the mama might be trap wary, so he pumped up the bait lure and ultimately she couldn't resist. It was a big relief to have them gone, and also to know that no other critters were in residence.
I had checked out reviews and prices for other companies and I was quite pleased with A-1 Wildlife's pricing and service. A very good experience overall and I'm going to send my old neighbor Dave's info. She was using the wrong company!

Inspection showed raccoon and bird debris in attic that needed to be cleaned out and gables screened so animals
could not re-enter attic. Dave set a trap for 5 days for raccoon, but no capture. He then was able to recommend someone
to come out and clean the attic, plus put screening over the gables so animals could not re-enter.

Set traps and checked daily for 3 days. Next 2 days removed 4 squirrels. Left the traps for another 2 days and then removed them. Very satisfied with services provided. Would use them again.

We never did capture our groundhog apparently he vacated the area, never to return. However A-1 did capture 3 racoons and a possum during this period. The owner of A-1 was polite, professional, punctual and very informative.

Dave is a professional and goes about his business effectively and efficiently. He helped us with chipmunk overpopulation control, squirrels getting in an overhang space, and a ground hog removal. He is very informed and acts accordingly.

He did an incredibly thorough search for the bat. He told me up front that it would be very tricky to find the bat, and that he would have to charge me for the visit either way. I do not fault him for not finding it. He was punctual, responsive, and professional.

They service has been exceptional. The owner is outstanding, really listen to people, and is a genuine nice person. Once this summer, they came out to inspect for possible critters, found I did not have any, and they didn't even charge me for the service call. I have also recommended them to others who have been very satisfied as well.

Called company on a sunday morning due to a suspected bird in bathroom fan exhaust. Came out a few hours later. Took care of the bird problem.
He had to remove the light and fan fixture. Then removed the bird- bird was dead before he got here. Replaced the fixture. Neat tiddy cleaned up what little mess was made.
Gave recommendations to prevent further bird invasion, as well as gave estimate for him to come back and fix the problem. Super friendly and nice person to deal with.

Dave was very nice and spent a lot of time researching my problem. He looked all around inside of the house and outside, and he decided that it was probably the trees hitting the house since it was very windy last night. We went outside and he spent quite a lot of time trimming branches that were hanging over our roof. He told me to let him know if we heard any more noises. What a great guy and very professional.
It's nice to meet someone who is so enthusiastic about his job and takes the time to make sure you are happy.

It took a couple weeks as the animal was rather crafty. The worker had to bate the traps and place them in several places. A1 was very responsive to my needs. I haven't received a bill, but the worker was very friendly and informative. He really stuck with it until the job was finished.

I had a ground hog (with hole) in my backyard. When I called, Dave answered all of my questions. Pricing is straight forward a set fee and per animal capture fee. I left a check for the set-up fee, and he set the traps up while I was at work (YEA, no time off). I called the later the same day because the ground hog was in the trap by the time I got home. The next night, a raccoon was caught, likely investigating the empty hole as potential new home. Dave also gave excellent suggestions for preventing a reoccurance.

Came downstairs Sunday morning to get the paper and saw a squirrel scamper through the hall into the dining room, but didn't see if the squirrel went into the kitchen or the family room (it's an old house so not an open-concept floor plan and each room has doors). Sealed off the half of the house where the squirrel might be. Called a few folks who might have had the same problem or knew who to call, but no one had suggestions, so we turned to Angie's List. Dave was the first of the A grade providers with 24/7 service, so he was called. He actually answered his phone! He was here within 45 minutes. It took about an hour for him to inspect and set up the traps. Then the wait. While out on Sunday, the squirrel did come into the kitchen as there were footprints and feces on the kitchen counter. As the basement was sealed off, it meant the squirrel was on the first floor. But there were no more sightings. On Monday morning, the squirrel wasn't in the downstairs trap, but the squirrel made noise in the family room. So sealed off the room and called Dave who came as soon as possible. He cornered the squirrel under a sofa and soon had her--it was a smaller female--in a trap ready to return to the outdoors. He inspected the fireplace and felt she had come down the chimney. She had gnawed the frames of two storm windows trying to escape, but thanks to Dave's warnings, nothing breakable was damaged. And because she wasn't there long, there was not much in the way of pee and poop. Before he left after setting the traps, Dave explained that as soon as the squirrel was in a trap, he would come and get it, that that was part of the fee and he would even come back on Sunday as part of the weekend fee, which was fair. He handled the entire episode very professionally and calmly which is great when there is a squirrel loose in your home. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again if any other wild critter makes it into the house.

Dave was super. He is everything you want in a service provider. Very responsive and high value for the money. Also, he is very creative with his solutions. The other providers simply wanted to remove the nest and go about this business. Dave was full of ideas for eliminated the issue versus simply fixing my problem for right now. Give him a call.

I rescued a dog from a shelter 4 months ago. For those 4 months, she has diligently kept track of and chased the squirrels in the backyard but they were always too quick for her --- until that Saturday! She managed to capture a squirrel and was very proud of herself. Since I have a dog door that allows her to come and go as needed, she decided that she wanted to share her good fortune and bring the live squirrel into the house to show me. She laid it on the living room floor and sat beside it so smugly. I thought it was mostly dead so I was going to use a shovel to take it outside but as soon as I touched it, it jumped up and run under a bookcase. Love that dog!! I called two animal removal companies from Angie's List. The first wanted $260 just to come to the house and another $60 to remove the animal and all on their schedule. A-1 Wildlife Removal quoted $95 if he worked it into his schedule that day, or $200 if he dropped everything and came over. I appreciated that he did have a reasonable price structure. I chose the more expensive option as I wanted a squirrel-free house. Dave was very courteous and quickly trapped the squirrel in a net and set it free to be chased again another day. I will call this company if my mighty hunter of a dog breaks the no-animals-in-the-house rule again.

We suspected that there were a pair of red squirrels in the attic. Removal was performed by the owner. He was very courteous and thorough. Work was done during a period of snow and ice. He was very knowledgeable, knew where to set the traps, and made sure the work was completed before calling the job done. It is unusual to have 2 pairs of squirrels but in our case that was the situation. Although not suspecting a second pair, he left the traps in place and once the 3rd squirrel was caught he waited for a sufficient period of time to catch the expected 4th squirrel.
