1A Budget Painting

It was excellent, the prices were good, they were respectful and cleaned up everything. When they came in, they put shoe covers on to make sure everything was clean and no mess around.

They did a really great job. very friendly, dependable, good prices, good quality work. He is versatile, he can do a lot of other different things.

It was very good, they were very professional, on time and under budget.

On the phone, the owner was very professional. When he came to do the estimate, he was not very thorough - and quickly quoted us a price. We chalked it up to he knew what he was doing - and therefore, he didn't need to spend a lot of time looking. The next morning, he followed up to see if we wanted to go with him. I suppose persistence paid off. So we said, "yes." They came out that weekend. We were quoted the repair, primer and two coats of paint. What we got was: -a spot prime -hardly any repair -one coat of paint in the closet -two coats of paint in the room When they were finished, there were runs all over the wall. As it dried, my husband and I noticed that the repairs we wanted made - especially to the top section of each wall - had not been done - or if they had been addressed, they were shoddy at best. We weren't going to say anything, as we were in a hurry to get this nursery put together. Yet, as I thought about it, ultimately, that price we were quoted should have included the repairs and the primer - and the two coats throughout the room - what we were told we'd get. The owner even said, "I'll make you happy." That said, I called them back. He was clearly annoyed that we weren't happy with the work. There were runs and nicks that weren't there previously, in addition to everything else. So, that afternoon, he sent two men out to fix things. They were literally in the house for less than 20 minutes. When it dried, we noticed more and more things. I suppose you get what you pay for - "budget" means the cheapest price - and in this case, the shoddiest work. We are not at all happy, but given our son is here - and we need a room for him, I suppose we'll be looking toward having it done correctly when he's a little older. It's just very disappointing - because we did like the owner. I'm sad he couldn't keep his promise of making us happy. We were anything but - and frankly didn't want to expend the energy to call them back out again to fix what was initially promised once more... We just gave up.

HE ARRIVED WITH FAMILY MEMBERS, INCLUDING KIDS. THEY ALL WORKED ON TAKING PAPER OFF. BUT INSTEAD OF WORKING IN 1 OR 2 ROOMS, THEY WERE ALL OVER THE HOUSE. THEY BROUGHT 2 DIRTY WET TARPS BUT HARDLY EVER USED THEM. THEY USED OUR FURNITURE INSTEAD OF LADDERS TO REACH HIGH PLACES AND DAMAGED SEVERAL ITEMS. 1 WORKER LAID ON OUR BED WITH HIS DIRTY PAINT PANTS AND SNEAKERS TALKING ON HIS CELL PHONE. HE ALSO WAS TALKING ON PHONE WHILE PAINTING. THEY DID NOT COVER ANYTHING AND SPRAYED THE WALLPAPER REMOVER OVER EVERYTHING, INCLUDING CEILING THAT NOW HAS STAINS ON IT FROM THE SPRAY. THEY PICKED UP THE LARGER PIECES OF WALLPAPER BUT LEFT THE REST WHERE IT FELL. THEY TRACKED PAINT ON THE NEW FLOOR, AND THE CARPET AND GOT IT ON THE FURNITURE. THEY DIDN'T GET ALL THE WALLPAPER OFF AND PAINTED OVER IT. WHEN WE SAID WE WERE NOT HAPPY 1 WORKER SMARTED OFF AND OWNER SAID WE SHOULD NOT EXPECT IT TO BE PERFECT. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT FINISHED WE ASKED THEM TO LEAVE AND NOT COME BACK. VERY U

THE COVERAGE OF THE COLOR OF PAINT WE CHOSE WAS NOT GOOD. WE NEEDED TO GO OVER IT AGAIN TO GET GOOD COVERAGE. WALL PAPER REMOVAL WAS VERY GOOD. PAINT IN OTHER AREAS WAS GOOD. PRICE WAS HALF THAT OF COMPETITOR BIDS. BROUGHT FAMILY AND KIDS. RAN AMUCK BUT WE DIDN'T CARE. GOOD IF YOU DON'T MIND GOING BACK OVER SLOPPY AREAS YOURSELF CONSIDERING THE SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION IN PRICE. THEY MISSED OUR APPOINTMENTS HAD TO CALL FOR FOLLOW UP THAT WAS ANNOYING. HIRED THEM BACK FOR MORE PROJECTS HAD TO TOUCH UP BUT OVERALL GOOD.

THEY WERE VERY SLOPPY AND BROUGHT FAMILY MEMBERS, INCLUDING CHILDREN INTO MY HOME. WHERE THEY TORE OFF THE WALL PAPER THEY DIDN'T GO BACK AND FINISH FILLING IT IN AND SANDING IT. THEY DID SOME BUT THEY JUST DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB OF GOING BACK OVER IT.
