"Thank you for the review, we try to provide timely, quality at a fair price."
"When we went out and replaced the customers outside hosebib, he signed the invoice and approval that states that we carry warranty on our plumbing work for 90 days. The labor was out of warranty on July 17, 2018. The product was still in warranty and comes from the manufacturer. The customer has the option to purchase our Plumbing Protection Plan that would have extended our labor warranty for one full year. We were willing to go out and replace the hosebib but customer declined because of the labor charge"

"thank you for the review, we will attempt to get the facts correct , we were called out to Nina Fouts on March 8 2013 not October 24 2013 to clean a lavatory drain and to replace a lavatory faucet , we cleaned the drain for $86.90 and replaced the lavatory faucet for $254.90 making a total for the job of $341.80 not $500.00 All work was approved by Nina Fouts with a signed work order.Nina wanted a price on a new hand held shower with a diverter and hose which we gave to her on March 12 2013. The price for the moen handheld shower with hose and shower arm diverter installed was $504.50.Nina never responded to our quote nor has she told us of any problems with the work we have done since we were there on March 8 2013.Nina was a previous customer and we have appreciated working with her in the past we hope to continue working with her in the future.we continue to strive to give quality service at a fair price."

"On May 1,2012 we went to the members home for an estimate to replace drains and water lines in the basement and 2nd floor. the member approved one of the options we gave for replacing drain lines in the basement for the bathroom and kitchen sink. Our contract price was $1042.00. We did the work on May 2,2012 to the satisfaction of the member and were paid on May 2, 2012.There is nothing on our contract about a toilet, we did not supply a toilet on this job. He has never contacted us about any leaks. We have a one year warranty on all labor and material that we supply. We apologize for any misunderstandings and will continue to provide quality service at a fair price."
"We would like to establish the facts about the job we did for (member name removed). He said we did the job on November 11, 2010, our records show we did the job on November 3, 2011. He gives an approximate cost of $3000 our contract which he approved was for $1100. Mr. (member name removed) called us out to look at his tub on September 1, 2011.We suggested replacement and submitted a proposal to remove the old tub and faucet and install a new tub and faucet which Mr. (member name removed) wanted to supply. After Mr. (member name removed) agreed to the proposal we began the work on November 2, 2011 and finished the work on November 3, 2011. The total of our proposal was $1100 with Mr. (member name removed) providing the tub and tub valve. No mold was evident at the time of replacement. We have a 1 year warranty on what we supply and do. Mr. (member name removed) approved the work and we have not heard anything from him until we got this review. We strive to do a good quality job at a fair price and apologize for any misunderstandings"

He then called the office and said that he could do it today for an additional charge of having to go somewhere and pick up the water heater or he could come back the next day for no additional charge. I chose to have him come back the next day since we weren't without hot water. He was there bright and early the next morning ready to complete the job. I left him alone to do his thing and it took him about 3.5 hours total to get in and out. He had left a trail of snow and mud through our kitchen and basement from his shoes. He cleaned up what was in the kitchen but we had to vacuum what was in the basement and stairs up. Probably have some booties or do something to protect the customers home in the future. We also have noticed that the power vent on the new water heater is louder than the previous one.
Overall I was pleased with the service, I believe the price was probably a little high. I did not get any other quotes but in the future probably will. I also would like to be given more options when it comes to what products are being installed.
"Thank you for the review, I will try to clear up a few questions you seem to have with the installation. Our service techs carry 2 water heaters on their trucks at all times but we do not stock power vent water heaters because we do not sell very many of them. Our service techs do not know what the model numbers of water heaters are because they are constantly changing due to government mandates on energy usage and not all supply houses stock them, I personally ran to the supply house to pick up your water heater as soon as I knew that you wanted one for sure. All power vents are energy star appliances and come with a 6 year warranty. Our service techs do have booties but they are very slippery when we have snow as we did that day. Our service techs do have shop vacuums and clean up after themselves and we apologize if our cleanup was not satisfactory,. we try to be as thorough as we can. All power vents do not sound the same ,and an older one is probably not going to sound the same as a newer one, the manufacturer, whose number is on the side of the water heater would be able to answer any concerns you would have with their product . We appreciate working with you and hope we can in the future."
"We thought that the customer had the wrong company because the name & date of the job did not match. We thought they had us mixed up with a different company. We were called on October 17 to book the call & we responded the next morning with the first appointment of the day on October 18. Our company DOES work on pressure assist toilets & we even carry them in stock. The technician that was sent to their house had worked on a pressure assist just a couple of months ago. The old plastic tank inside was different. Their toilet is a 1988-1989 Cashsaver model toilet & my technician had to call a company to try & get updated information on it because of its age. He was told by the rep that since the toilet had a old plastic tank & the concern of the age of the toilet, that the customers should get a new toilet. My technician gave them the model number & a quote for a new toilet which is on the service work order that he left with the homeowner when he left the job. Since the toilet is an old model, it would be just about impossible to find a replace tank (if they even make it any more) & we do not even know if the Cashsaver manufacturer is even in business today."
Water heater was included with the house that we recently purchased. The previous owner had provided a house warranty to cover such problems otherwise we would have replace the heater ourselves. The warranty company had no one available in our area to handle the call so they approved us to call a local contractor and have the work performed. For any work exceeding $250, we needed to call for pre-approval. The plumbing company did not need to deal with the warranty company, they simply need to provide the invoice (once the work order was approved), which I would pay and get reimbursement.
The H&S Plumber was not sure what the problem was so offered that he could replaced the valve/thermostat or the complete water heater. The costs would be approximately $450/$1000. Prices seemed a little high but if the warranty company approved, OK. Since the water heater was a lower grade heater and well past it's warranty, I said that a complete replacement should be done. It didn't make sense to spend that kind of money ($450) to replace just the thermostat when the whole heater could blow any day. The plumber agreed. Besides he said, he didn't have the correct parts anyway.
I called for approval. The warranty company asked simple questions until they asked for a cost breakdown of the service like parts cost and labor cost. The plumber would not provide. He said that he would have to have the office call the warranty company and provide the numbers. Didn't make sense to me at the time but I was in a hurry.
Next day the plumber calls back and says that they will absolutely not provide a cost breakdown. This is ridiculous as I would think that this is a normal practice. I can only guess that it is because their prices are so. high. Anyway, he keeps talking about replacing the thermostat. I told him that was never what we talked about and that he agreed that it wasn't the correct choice. He had no recollection of that and said that he would have to ask the office to provide numbers for that instead. I'm sure that is likely to happen.
After all of that, e then tells me that they don't think I have any problems at all except that my water heater is undersized. It's a 40 gal heater for only my wife and I. We can't even get 2 showers out of it. The plumber never checked to see if we even had low flow shower heads or anything.
Nothing difficult here, just a water heater that needs replacing because it is old, out of warranty and no longer works properly. All I asked for was a reasonable request for the cost break down, the same thing that is required by law in many other industries. And oh yeah, a technician that could bring the correct parts when he shows up and has some idea what he is talking about would be nice too.
S, I had to pay a $100 trip fee and got absolutely nothing for it. I should have just done the job myself as I usually do for a fraction of the cost that they are charging.
"Our technician went out to [member name removed] house on a complaint of intermitten hot water from his 40 gallon natural gas water heater. We responded within a day. It is always stated to our customers before we go on a job that we work by the job not by the hour. Our prices are all inclusive & that we do have a trip charge of $54.50 but if we do any work or diagnostics you only get charged for the actual work that we do & that we would not add the trip charge onto the bill. Our tech did some diagnostics & quoted a cost to replace the gas valve for $422.52. We would have had to order the correct valve, there is no way that a service company can carry all the parts to repair water heaters since there are so many water heaters companies & they all have different parts. Getting a new water heater was briefly discussed because rarely will a warranty company replace a water heater unless the tank leaks, so only a ball park cost was given. [member name removed] then insisted on getting a breakdown of the cost but since our jobs are all inclusive, the office would have to do that because the techs do not have that information. There was evidently a miscommunication between the tech & [member name removed] concerning the water heater, we do not make choices for our customers, we present options & let the customer decide what direction they wish to go. It could be that the homeowners are taking longer showere then they realize, water heater only maintain a certain amount of hot water & as they hot water is being used, it is in the process of refilling the tank with cold water. [member name removed] insisted that we call his warranty company & give them the cost for a new water heater. The next day we call his warranty company & did give them the information & was told by them that they only replace a leaking water heater. [member name removed]said that if we did no do this, he would give us a bad review on Angie's List which he did anyways. Also, [member name removed] bill was $79.41 because he used the coupon that he go off our Angis's List page."
