Yes We Paint Fast

My wife and I were deciding between Yes We Paint Fast and another painter. After speaking with the front office staff, we decided to go with Yes We Paint Fast. The estimates we were given were pretty comparable initially, with Yes We Paint Fast being just over 10% cheaper and being able to begin and finish the job sooner. Given our conversations with the two different painters, we thought we would get the same quality work at a slightly cheaper price and slightly quicker with Yes We Paint Fast. This was our first home. We are very excited and wanted to get it painted prior to moving in. Unfortunately, after our experience with Yes We Paint Fast, we would not recommend them nor plan to use them in the future. The quality of the work and attention to detail was not in-line with the cost. We intentionally went with what we perceived to be a higher quality painter, even if it was a little more expensive, because we wanted to start off in our first home with a good paint job in place. After they finished, we marked at least 150 areas with painter’s tape (though probably more) that needed correcting. These varied from small, less than quarter-sized deficiencies that should have never made it through the final inspection, to simply not painting some areas that should have been painted, to not appropriately prepping surfaces prior to painting, to inexcusably poor lines scattered throughout the home. Several lines were so poor that our wood cabinets, kitchen granite, and multiple bathrooms surfaces ended up with paint on them. We ended up taking over 100 photos of the issues. When we brought it to their attention the front office said they were “stunned” and the owner/lead painter said they had gone over the house with a “fine tooth comb” after finishing the job. When we met for a walk through the owner was professional and said he would do his best to fix everything, but was not sure he could, indicating that our expectations were high. He spent 2.5 days working to fix the job, and did improve it, but at the second walk through my wife and I continued to point out deficiencies. We ultimately decided it was not going to get to where we wanted it and had to deal with it not being good enough, and not in accordance with the price we paid, particularly since the cost of the job went up $630, $550 of which was due to the need for more coats. This added to our disappointment as we think this may have not been necessary if the surfaces were prepped appropriately. The owner apologized for the inconvenience and he said he understood some of our concerns, stating the original work was not up to their normal standards, noting he had some painters who were not regular members of his team rotating through. This was again disappointing as the front office had explicitly made the point that part of the reason they were so good and we should go with them was because they had regular team members that made the quality of their jobs better. While we appreciate the effort to correct the job and how courteous the team was throughout the process, our experience with Yes We Paint Fast was disappointing as the quality of the job was not in line with what we expected for the price. We would not recommend using Yes We Paint Fast.

Project was delayed a couple of weeks due to this being a very rainy summer, but once they arrived they completed all the work in one day. Cleaned up their tools and the work was very nice, house looks brand new again! We would not hesitate to call on them again.
