The inspection went well but when they were finished both concrete lids were broken. One had been cracked previously and just gave way, the second broke when it was dropped. The tech told my client that, once he closes on the home, if he signs a service agreement they will provide the lids for free. As it turns out, the appraiser made note of the broken lids and the lender required them to be replaced prior to closing. I called WINELCO and they would replace the lids for $200 prior to closing. I asked if they would refund the price if the buyer signed a service agreement after he closed on the house, per the Tech's word, and they said they had no notes to that effect. I paid the $200 to be able to close and to my knowledge the buyer did sign a service agreement after the closing. I have used WINELCO in the past and they are a reputable company.
It is always unfortunate when you have a need for a septic company; however, if I'm ever in need again I will call Winelco. From top to bottom this is a quality organization who came through for our family even when the original installer (whom we paid thousands of dollars to install this system) did not make us a priority.
Thanks to Taylor and Andy and I recommend Winelco if you find yourself in an unfortunate sewer backup/overflow issue.
