One workman was sent over to fix leak. Work took one hour, for which we were charged $1600. We thought we had an emergency situation. THE COMPANY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION. Even if the work was done properly, The fee for one hour of work is outrageous

"Good morning Mr. [Member Name Removed], After much investigation this morning, I found that you did make one purchase of the "big deal" through Angie's List for $159.00 this was paid directly to Angie's List and is verifiable. You signed a contract with Chad Janisch, one of the owners on 6/7/13 and work was completed on 6/19/13. We have no record or contracts with you involving $1,600.00 to Roofing Annex. We did come out and re-seal all exposed nail heads, fastened all box vents and plumbing stacks on your roof, and attempted to repair the chimney and furnace stack where the leak was occurring. We did advise you at that time that you did need additional work done to your chimney but it was not included in the $159.00 Big Deal offer from Angie's List and that we were happy to provide you a quote when you were ready to move forward with the repairs. Approximately three weeks later you gave us an Angie's List review of an "A" and gave the following response: "It went very well. It was about 3 weeks ago, we've had very bad rain storms since, and so far I haven't seen any leak at all. As of now, the work was very good. They were very responsive for the estimate, and they said they'd be there the following week for the work. It actually took about 2 weeks to get back and complete the work." Description of work: "I had a very bad leak in the roof coming through the attic and into the kitchen, in three places. They repaired this." I have no record of any additional purchases made through Roofing Annex after this point. Please provide a copy of the contract and proof of payment to Angie's List to verify the purchase that you are not satisfied with. I am happy to review any documents and pricing and get back with you promptly. Our customers satisfaction of our work is of our highest priority at Roofing Annex. Overall we are very pleased with our new roof and with working with Jonathan and the rest of the crew at The Roofing Annex. The quality of the new roof and their ability to interface with our insurance adjuster were very much appreciated. The crew that did the roof install were excellent and friendly and got the job knocked out in one day. The only thing that ended less than satisfactorily was that additional damage to the interior of the home which was part of the claim was supposed to be coordinated by Roofing Annex with another sub contractor and that never happened. Probably not the fault of TRA but I thought it should be noted if you are in need of more repairs outside of just the roof. As it turned out I am working directly with my insurance adjuster and this is being taken care of anyway. All in all I would still recommend TRA to family and friends.

We were very happy with the complete process. Dustin was very helpful working with our insurance company, who required several visits to OK the replacement. Once roof was ok'd, the company stayed in contact to set up the replacement date. The materials were delivered a few days before replacement, and all went as promised on replacing the roof. A project manager was on site to discuss any concerns. Plywood was placed in front of Windows to protect them during tear off. The work was completed in one day. The debris was removed completely. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Roofing Annex replaced my entire roof. From the estimate until final cleanup, all were friendly, informative and professional. On the morning they were to do the work, the crew first put tarps over my bushes and shrubs and leaned plywood over the windows to protect them. The crew were all very hard workers. We had planned on replacing the step molding, but they reported that mine was fine and that replacement would be a waste of money. Once the job was done, all crew members pitched in to clean up. They dragged a magnet, several times, over the driveway, patio and yard to get as many of the old nails as possible. They left the outside as clean as when they arrived. I would definitely use Roofing Annex again.

Justin Philips from The Roofing Annex began working with me in January 2015. As I suspected our roof had been damaged by wind. He verified upon inspection that.this was the case. I submitted a claim to my insurance company.. Justin worked as my advocate with the insurance company which turned out to be quite a challenge. The insurance company tried to do as little as possible and avoid replacing the roof on a legitimate and obvious claim. Justin continued to meet with three different adjusters and a field manager on separate occasions to show them the damage. All agreed there was damage, but tried to close the claim with band aid approaches to a major issue of non reasonable matching shingles. Ohio law requires that if the shingles cannot be replaced with a reasonable color match of comparable quality, the roof has to be replaced. After five months of trying to get this claim resolved, the insurance company finally agreed to replace the roof. Justin worked as my advocate through this whole process, even talking to the claims manager on my behalf. The Roofing Annex scheduled a time to come out and do the work. Nick Schnur, the project manager, contacted us the night before to tell us when he and the crew would arrive to do the work. Before the work began, Nick introduced himself to me and my wife. They put protection around the widows and doors before they started and the crew worked hard for over twelve hours to complete the job in one day. They cleaned up after all the work was completed. There was a huge group of people working. They kept the area great. The roof seems to be great, from everything we can see. We can see some of the roof on the top story. They took care of all the insurance, with everything we needed to do. They actually met with the adjuster and was pretty helpful. They cleaned up perfectly.

What they had to do was quite expensive. They were very straightforward, and very solid with what we needed. We didn't want to have leaks in our roof and that is why we went ahead and had them take care of the situation.

The sales rep was wonderful. We knew our shingles were old and needed to be replaced. The slew rep asked if our insurance was covering the cost or part of it. We said no. He inspected the roof and found a lot of hail damage. We contacted the insurance company. They sent out an inspector, and our sales rep came to shoe him pictures and to point out the damage, so insurance covered almost the entire cost! This company had a very good selection of materials and colors and the sales rep was very helpful with suggestions. The job was completed in one day. There was a wonderful project manager who was there the whole time, watching that things were done correctly. He answered questions and pointed out problems and their solutions. He had them re-do a small part because he wanted it perfect. All of the workers were industrious and conscientious.They took care to protect our siding, windows and landscaping. They cleaned up afterwards. We are very pleased with the work, the materials, and the professionalism of all of the workers. I recommended them to a neighbor. Another neighbor saw the sales rep come and measure, and asked about having his roof done, and ended up having his done the same day!

They came out and met the insurance adjuster to take a look at the roof and he negotiated with our insurance company to get them to cover the whole job. The new roof is terrific, this was on our 3,000 square foot home that has 4 skylights and lots of different angeles and pitches. They were able to complete the job all in one day and they cleaned up the debris very thoroughly. The whole company was really wonderful to deal with and very professional. I would use them again and would highly recommend them.

Roof leaks are always difficult address. They were very thorough in their review of the leak before preparing the work (went into crawl space - others who bid on the project just looked at the roof). The job was completed on time. Had some issues with the other side of the dormer & they came out quickly to fix the other side too. They also added value in pointing out some issues with our window that we were able to fix. Had we not gotten the window fixed, we would have had some real problems this winter. A good job.
