LOWE'S

I?d give the gardening the department a high rating, but the painting department I would not rate highly. It depends on the department.

He was relatively quick and replaced a couple of things like older parts that needed replacement. He could improve on his attitude. He has a lot of things to say about some people and things. He had a lot of opinion that I really did not care here. He did a good job.

They contracted out for the job. The gentleman they contracted out was a very nice person. He did the best he could. The person who set up the job did not give him very good instruction and the issue carried out for at least 1 year before it was resolved. They covered up our faucet out front and there was no way to get to it. I contacted the company about it and they kept saying they would come out many different times. I was very unhappy with the guy who set up the job. He was trying to get us to go through with a bigger project than what we wanted to do. We ended up getting what we were looking for, however.

They were wonderful! They completed the work in about 4 weeks.

What decided me to go with them was the type of the doors that they had. It was very smooth. That was good as well. I had no problems.

The person they contracted had a bad habit. If I had a complaint about the roof, they would  come and do something but no body ever told me what they did. So I wouldn't know if they responded or not therefore I would call Lowe's. Lowe's was okay and they worked hard but I wasn't happy with the people they contracted. I wouldn't recommend them for roofing services. The people who came couldn't speak English and the person who could speak English didn't come very often. I don't speak Spanish. I only speak English so we couldn't communicate at all.

Their prices are a little bit higher than another big box store I use. The experience has been fine and I haven't had any issues. They are fairly helpful.

Lowe's was always very responsive & helpful. The only thing that was bothersome was the 3-month wait before installation. But, once we got it it was a great installation & we like the door very much. We needed service once & they came out right away, took care of it, & did a thorough job.

The service was excellent. They did a great job. They gave the best price quote for the windows.

The basement carpet started sheeding fluffy threads right away. The bathroom and closet carpet were the wrong color even though we brought in samples to match. The color was way off.

The basement carpet: it took a while (several weeks), but Lowes got back to us and said that Mohawk wanted to see a sample. After several weeks after sending the sample, Mohawk said the carpet was normal. We said it was not normal. It took several  months, but eventually, Lowes sent a 3rd party inspector who looked at the carpet and wrote his report. After several weeks, Mohawk then admitted that the carpet was defective. We got a call from Lowes that said that we could come pick out a carpet. We were busy at the time, but after several weeks, we went to pick out the carpet and submitted it to the sales person. No response from Lowes for several weeks. We had to initiate the process and call them. Then we were told that we couldn't pick a non-Mohawk carpet (They didn't tell us this and wasted our time and didn't even call us to let us know when we had submitted for a non-Mohawk carpet replacement). So we returned to pick out a Mohawk carpet. The salesman assured us this time everyone would get a email to insure timely settlement of the problem. No one has called us after 3 or 4 weeks. We're going to have to call them again. Lowes is unresponsive and a lousy carpet installer to deal with. They don't have much clout with Mohawk and they are unprofessional and untimely in their response to replacing a problem. Overall, it has been almost a year and we still  haven't had the carpet fixed.

The bathroom and closet carpet: wrong color. WE complained because we were led to believe that by bringing in a sample, we could match it pretty close. It was far off. They did give us half of the money back for the problem.

The installer was friendly and competent enough. My door wasn’t seen apart when he came to my house. It turned into an eight-week-long nightmare with temporary doors and so forth. The work started in August and finished only by about November. They were on time, though. I would probably not use them again, and I would probably not recommend them.

Sloppy installation. The installer threw away the warranty information for the doors. The storm door was scratched from the installer and the caulking cracked repeatedly. 25 phone calls and or visits by Lowe's to get the caulking fixed and I don't know if it is fixed yet. Poor response from Lowe's.
