We had 4 firms quote on the job. Alan Kramer was the most responsive- first to come, and first to quote. When he came to look at the job, we discussed our project, discussed different ways of making the curb lower, etc. He also told me he would use a motorized cart to take the concrete from the cement truck up the driveway so there would be no risk of the heavy truck damaging our driveway. After we received all the other quotes, Kramer was one of the lowest prices. I liked the guy when I met him, he seemed very knowledgable and a straight shooter, so we chose him. It took about a week to do the whole job. First he came and jackhammered the old 12x12 pad at the end of the driveway, and the entire curb and 14x10 apron at the driveway entrance. Then they poured the new larger 20x28 pad at the end of the driveway, and the new lower curb at the street. The next day they poured the new apron. A few days later he came and removed all the forms, brought in a little topsoil, and even cut and fitted our paver bricks to fit the new extended driveway. Most of the job was done by Alan and his father, but the big pouring day he brought in three finishers to help. Everything was great- I'd recommend him highly. There's a reason he has over 60 "A" reviews.

Alan is a very nice person and so are his helpers which is good if you are looking for a friend. If you are looking for a good concrete job, I do not recommend him. Our porch was bad from the start. He tried fixing it twice and it is still awful and a terrible disappointment for our home improvement. When we last voiced our disappointment the reply was that we were being too picky. The pictures speak for themselves.

Very well. Very responsive, kept me informed of progress and the job was well done. Expensive for 3 squares of concrete, but the job was well done and that is the going price these days. Was also grateful they were willing to fit this relatively small job into their schedule. Would definitely higher again.

Contacted Alan Kramer for estimate. He responded in a timely manner, we set up an appointment, and he arrived as scheduled. Alan listened to what we wanted and offered some suggestions on how it would be done. He took good notes and had a detailed estimate written up within 30 minutes. We accepted his bid and scheduled the work for late summer. A week prior to the work beginning, Alan contacted me to let me know when exactly work would begin. Alan and his father arrived as scheduled and began work that was spread over 5 separate days. They were both very diligent with their work and very detail oriented. You can tell they are very experienced and approach each aspect with great care and attention to detail. We even made a last minute request to add on a hole for a basketball pole and Alan had no issues doing so even though it required an additional piece of equipment. The upcharge for this was very reasonable and the job turned out even better than expected. We can't recommend Kramer concrete enough and we will happily use them again in the future.

This is a father and son team.  They were great to work with.  They listened to what I needed, patiently answered my questions, made some helpful suggestions, then delivered above expectations and for less costs than the other estimates I had.  I was so happy with them, that I hired them for a second job w/out getting other estimates.

Great! We had some weather delays but that was certainly not the contractors fault. They showed up on time. We're professional, courteous and did an excellent job.

Alan was very courteous, puctual and professional with this project.  He was kind enough to do the repairs in a timely manner for us, since we were getting ready to market our home for sale and needed it done as quickly as possible.  He was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and did a very good job.  I would hire him again for future concrete work.

Very nice job. Removed the old driveway and sidewalk on Friday. Poured it all on Monday. Tuesday he removed all the forms and applied some top soil. Looks great. Alan is very easy to work with. He had quoted this job last fall. The day before the job I asked him to widen the drive by about 18 inches. He agreed to do this for a very reasonable $100 above quote. For some reason though the final bill was as he had quoted last fall. Very hardworking honest man. Will use again for some pool work in the future. Highly recommended.

Excellent.  It is hard to find contractors who have in depth technical knowledge of their craft.  This contractor has it, and implements it in his work.

I would recommend Kramer concrete to anyone who wants the ultimate in performance.

I am completely satisfied.

Mr Kramer  came out in April and gave me a estimate  for 5 inch concrete. Another contractor had previously gave me a bid for 4 or 5 inch concrete.  With the size of my project I chose to go with 5 inch concrete  even though it would have been about $900 cheaper

to use the 4 inch concrete . I called him back a week or so later and told him I liked his bid and he could do the work and he told me it would be late July or August depending on the weather.  I also got a bid from another contractor from Batavia whose bid was about $3000 higher then the other bidders.

I discovered I had some footer drainage problems around the house and asked Alan Kramer if I should have this other plumbing contractor work on the drain under the driveway after the asphalt was removed and he said "That's what we do " so I went with that.

He called me about the first week in August and told me I would be next and the following Monday he and his Dad and another

young worker were here to do the job. True to his word after the driveway was removed he added a drainage line across the driveway and laid the piping and gravel and also removed a large pile of wall stone  that was on the adjacent property.

Alan and his Dad framed the concrete and worked the concrete when the concrete was poured. They did have a crew assist in the smoothing and sectioning  when the concrete was poured and drying. They poured the concrete in two different days.

After we had some rain I discovered that the driveway in front of the back garage which gets a small amount of sunlight was not sloped enough to drain water as it should . I called Alan and after discussing the issue he stopped to look at it and he decided that the best way to handle it was to air hammer out a small area  and put a grated drain there so it could drain to the new drain pipe he had previously placed in that area which drains to the street. When he finished the additional work it looked great and it works out much better. Alan and his Dad work well as a team and both take pride in the work that they do . I do wish every contractor

performed at the same high level that this company does and I would certainly refer any one interested in concrete work to the Kramer Concrete company. This past weekend we had a garage sale and I did have many people commenting on the great

looking driveway and I did give some references to Kramer concrete.  They offer a fair price and good honest work.

When Alan gave me a bid on the job, Angie's list discount was not discussed and he did additional work above what we discussed on the bid and he gave me a $500 discount and the work came in lower then his bid estimate

Excellent work. Very responsive when I called. Arranged a time that was suitable for both our schedules. Came one day and tore up (and removed) all of the old cement. The next day they laid down a gravel base, wire mesh and rebar wire to prevent sinking from occurring in the future. Poured and finished (swirled and sealed) cement.  Very professional and very happy with the results.  I don't know enough about cement prices to determine if this was a good price, but it seemed to be a fair one. I like to support local, family run businesses and they did an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

Alan and his dad were great.  The new patio and stairs are top notch.  I really appreciated Alan's approach to the job when he did the estimate and his craftmanship in getting the job done in a timely fashion.
I would definitely recommend Kramer concrete!

Everything went very well.  He even did the job earlier than we expected.  He came out a few days prior to doing the work and painted a line on our lawn indicating the area he would make the addition.  I added a little strip beside the existing driveway by painting another line the way I wanted it.  He had no problem with the change and had it completed in 2 days.  I will have more concrete work done this year and I will use Kramer to do it.

The first day he came out and prepped the steps. That took several hours of his labor.
The second day he came and poured the concrete.  Again it took several hours of his time.
The third day he came back to remove the wood and check the concrete.  He fixed an area he was not happy with.
I had no idea how much work was involved with this process.    I am more than happy with my two new steps!

I called and spoke to Alan Kramer and asked him to look at our driveway and give me a quote. He stopped by and we discussed. He provide me with a written estimate, along with where he was in his scheduling. I scheduled for two months out. I did call a couple of other companies but they did not provide a written estimate, only a quote over the phone.. Alan Kramer and his crew (which is mostly family, with over 40 years of experience.) tore out the old driveway which is on a hill and hauled away. They pLaced rebar and wire mesh and put in a gravel base. The next day the concrete was poured at 5" , not the 2 1/2 " the builder put in. they did a fabulous job working the concrete and smoothing the driveway and cleaned the surrounding area after they were done. They spray sealed the concrete and later took out forms.. They suggested we stay off a week and they stopped and checked their work a short time after that.

Alan, his Father Bob, and employee Matt did an excellent job.  It was a pleasure to hire a contractor who performed high quality work for a fair price, as requested, and without any issues whatsoever.  I would highly recommend Alan and Kramer Concrete. If I ever have any additional concrete work done, Kramer will be the first, and hopefully only company that I will need to call.  Yes, they were that good.  In addition to the concrete work, as an unexpected bonus they spread top soil around all of the new concrete.  This was a nice touch that left the work and landscape in a "finished" state.  They went out of their way to do any extras that were requested of them. They actually seemed to genuinely care about doing high quality work, and it showed.
I have hired many contractors over the years with mixed results.  It was a pleasure to work with Alan and his company.
