"IT IS MY POSITION THAT THEIR COMPLAINTS ARE UNFOUNDED. FIRST, THE QUARTER SAWN OAK THAT I PURCHASED SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR JOB IS NOT RETURNABLE. IT WAS MILLED SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR JOB DESIGN. WHEN THEY SIGNED THE CONTRACT, THEY AGREED TO THE PRICES, SPECIFICATIONS AND THE CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THEIR HOME ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE JOB, THE MEMBER SAID THEY CHANGED THE DESIGN AND WOULD NOT BE USING THE QUARTER SAWN OAK. THEY DID NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT ANY CHANGES. I INFORMED HER THAT IT WAS ALREADY BOUGHT AND COULD NOT BE RETURNED. SHE AGREED TO KEEP IT, KNOWING THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE A CREDIT FOR THE MATERIAL, AND IT WAS LEFT AT THEIR RESIDENCE. THERE WAS A QUESTION THAT THE QUARTER SAWN OAK WASN''T REALLY QUARTER SAWN, AND INSTEAD WAS JUST PLAIN OAK BOARD. I HAVE RECEIPTS THAT PROVE OTHERWISE. THE FIREPLACE REPAIRS THAT HE REFERS TO WERE AN ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL PRICE QUOTE BECAUSE I DID NOT INCLUDE ANY REPAIRS IN MY CONTRACT."
