DEGREE LAWN & LANDSCAPING

We've used three different lawn maintenance companies over the past five years and while our grass did get cut, we were never very impressed. The providers were unreliable (sometimes nearly two weeks between cuts), or they left big clods of grass laying on our lawn, they damaged our property (fence gate, and heat pump), or their billing was a mess etc. This Spring we decided to give Degree a chance, and our lawn and landscape are looking the best they have in the 20 years. There are two parts to our engagement with Degree. First, we contracted them to simply mow our grass on a regular basis. While the weather dictates when they can actually mow (and we have a steep hill to deal with), they have cut us on either Monday or Tuesday all of the 2018 season. Of course part of cutting the grass is edging, weed whacking, and cleaning up afterward, to which they do an excellent job. Our second engagement with Degree was we hired them to do a Spring cleanup of all our landscape beds which surround all sides of our home. This included putting down a pre-emergent, trimming shrubs, fertilizing, edging and mulching. Once agin, they did a very good job. If I did have a complaint on this, it would be that I thought they could have spread the mulch a little deeper. Then again, I only checked mulch depth in a couple of places. I did give Degree a B on pricing only because we are now paying slightly more than we have paid over the past five years. Then again, our lawn and landscape are looking better than ever, and we haven't had any of the issues we've had in the past with other providers. This is likely a case of 'you get what you pay for'!! Highly recommended!

The job was beautiful upon completion, and the staff was very professional. I will definitely go with this company for any future work needed.

It went very well. The work was done by a crew of four in about a half-day, and was done soon after my call to them to take advantage of seeding before winter. Cleanup was excellent. I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work, and will definitely have them do some additional landscaping that we will need done in the near future.

My experience overall went very well. They do a great job. They are great with the cleanup afterwards. The pricing is reasonable. The staff is very friendly and professional.

The experience was exceptional. They have good communication with their clients. They respond in a reasonable time and gave me plenty of advanced notice of when they were coming so we could secure our dogs indoors.
The crew of four included Shawn, who is a certified arborist/horticulturist. The crew worked in sweltering humidity and heat, yet were thorough and cared for our trees as if they were their own. Shawn is well-educated on all of the specimens in the yard (genus/species) and can identify pests and growth issues very specifically.
We ultimately hired them for a year-round maintenance of all of our trees which will include a summer, fall and spring pruning and specific care for each type of tree we have. I am really pleased with their level of knowledge and respect they have for their client's needs. They seem passionate about what they are doing.

I had previously used Scott's Lawn Service. They had irritated me beyond comment. When I talked to Jack and was given their estimate for normal yard maintenance and treatments I was at first shocked. Their estimate was 1/2 of what Scott's had been charging. Degree has been doing my yard for the past 2 years. I could not be happier.

They are a wonderful company to deal with.  They fertilize my lawn and kill the weeds.  After fighting the weeds for
11 years I called them and within 3 months there were no weeds in my
yard.  When I've called them on the phone they are always pleasant and
easy to work with.  They have even ordered special flea spray for my
yard so my dog doesn't get fleas.  Whenever my lawn mower is broken, I
ask them to mow for me and they are out in a couple of days.  They never
leave a mess.
