Deck Works

Deckworks rebuilt our deck in March/April of 2025. The crew worked 2-4 hours per day so it took twice as long as promised. They didn’t have all the tools necessary to complete the job, which caused further delays. Plastic and metal shavings were left all over the side and back yards. The structure is not plumb or level and one of the boards is not secured in the decking system so it lifts up. Dirt from the post holes was not placed where instructed and ended up in my lawn due to heavy rain. One of my pavers was broken in half. The balusters in one section of railing are not vertical. The pressure washing upon completion of the deck resulted in a pond on the lower patio, but not a clean deck. The owner never came out for the final walk through and now does not respond to calls. We got a mediocre deck for a lot of money and frustration. I would not recommend this company.

Terrible. Once the deposit was paid he came out and pressure washed. It took another 1 1/2 weeks for him to come out and do the staining which he spray painted on - missing several areas. We asked him to come back out so we could show him those areas and he just cam out doing another half job, so had to make a third trip. Meanwhile he charged us for the full job before it was completed. He also assured me that he would cover our furniture with drop cloths which he did not and now I have stain splatter all over the concrete and and our lawn furniture. He got overspray on our vinyl siding and instead of cleaning it off, he painted over it - IT'S VINLY SIDING - YOU DON"T PAINT IT!! I would never recommend this company. Still trying to resolve some issues.

He sprayed one coat. Could see the old finish through the new finish. Missed several areas. Was in a very big hurry. I called him back to fix it and he spent 10 minutes with a brush and left it mostly the same - unfinished. I have a case pending with the BBB
