CARPETILE

Product selection was good. Price comparison to other carpet stores was very competitive. installation process was seamless (no pun intended). Carpet layout to minimize number of seams was perfect.

Worked with the owner Larry and the very nice and professional woman in his office.  They are a small company where you don't feel like you are a simply a  number.  She listened to our needs and showed us several different options ranging from inexpensive to high priced.  She never pushed the higher priced line.  We went back several times and they allowed us to take samples home with us.  We ended up choosing the nylon style which is on the high end. 

Had an excellent customer service experience.  Carpet was installed when it was supposed to be.  Their installer Harry is the best I have ever witnessed.  I have seen several men lay carpet and none of them took the time that Harry did to try to minimize seams in heavily trafficked areas. 

Our carpet was a nylon Berber which can be very difficult to cut and match seams.  But, Harry did a fantastic job.  Highly recommend.

We used Larry to get new carpet installed in our condo, which was on the market. We got a great price and the work was completed quick. We were very happy with the service provided.

I removed a half wall in the basement and needed to recarpet the entire lower level to match. Larry suggested that the new color should match the existing stairs (which did not match previously). He also suggested a type of carpet that would perform better when handling traffic off of the steps, to the laundry room and to the exterior patio door. He arrived on time to give me an estimate, allowed me to keep a sample while deciding which color, then returned and installed the carpet within days. I trust this company, so I let them install it while I was at work.

We were very satisfied with Larry's (the owner) recommendation of carpet brand and grade. This was a large job requiring lots of furniture moving, and the installers were very professional and neat. All work was completed on schedule and done right the first time. It was a very positive experience dealing with Carpetile.

Overall, things went well. At first I was hesitant to use Carpetile because of the really bad review on Angie's list. I talked to my real estate agent and she assured me she had used Carpetile in her own home and had recommended him and had not had a bad experience. So we called and Larry came out. We picked a carpet that would serve the purose (our bedroom rug was 35 years old) and contacted a painter. Two days before the painter started, they came and removed the old carpet. When the painter was finished, we contacted Carpetile and asked them to come as soon as they could. It did take a couple of days for us to get them in, but the painting took longer than it was supposed to so that messed up our schedule. They came on time to install and were done efficiently. They did a nice job of cleaning up when they were finished.

The overall project went fine, however a week or two later we noticed that there was defect in the carpeting. I called them multiple times and the owner would not return my calls. I finally called and told them that if they would not answer my calls I was going to have the charge suspended. When I called back after that the office claimed that he owner was out of town. A week or so later he answered my calls and said that they would come out and look at my carpeting. He told me that he would send someone out in about a week and no one showed up. A week after that they called and told me that they would be out to my home in about five minutes. They did not repair anything they just tried to kick the carpeting straight again. They tried to hide the defect carpeting under the baseboard. I finally had to call another company to come out and see what they had done right. They said that someone had cut the carpeting which was the reason for the defect. Updated report: I wish to correct my prior report I gave by telephone when Angie's List called me. The work was completed in May 2009. I had another carpet company inspect the damaged carpet, when Carpetile failed to repair the damaged carpet after about two months. The repairer from the other company said he could not understand why Carpetile did not repair the carpet which had been cut, in that it is so easy to repair. He repaired the carpet in well less than a half hour and I paid him $130.00. I just wanted the carpet fixed and tired of my repeated calls to Carpetile that resulted in no action. I did not try to collect the $130.00 from Carpetile, I was just sick of them, and will not do business with them again.
