This ensures that you will meet and get to know the owner and we will be caring for your family member(s). Candy's operates 365 days/yr. so we are here when you need us. Ken met us a few days before our departure to familiarize himself with our pet sitting needs. Ken arrived as scheduled, introduced Candy's Critter Care business model and explained the services included. Ken provided references, evidence of insurance, the services included, asked the pertinent questions that further validated his expertise for pet care. Ken left us feeling confident that we were leaving our treasured pets with someone who genuinely loves and enjoys them.
When we arrived back home after a week away, we were so anxious to see our little furry friends! Much to my delight Ken had left us a full page note with all of the performance highlights of our cats activities while under his watch! The details were complete including the "water fight" games with the water reservoir - the event left Ken wondering if the little paws had help or were just displaying their rare talent for relocating a full water dispenser! So funny to know that our little rescues were able to squeeze in some fun while we were away!
We had all of our mail stacked and waiting for us, the litter boxes were clean and our little family was reunited with great enthusiasm! The cats never made any appearance during our absence, but Ken knew they were here given that the dishes and boxes told a story!
The experience was our first and won't be the last! Ken did a great job and we won't hesitate to use Candy's Critter Care again. It is such a relief to have found this affordable, personal touch! We love our rescued pets and believe that the improved life they are now enjoying must remain consistent - Ken made sure they didn't feel threatened or neglected!

"We are very proud of our service record of over 13 years. Through these years we have made over 38,000 visits to our clients homes and have NEVER missed a single scheduled visit. As I explained to this client, I had mis-entered the alarm code on that evening and had other issues with their new alarm. I was very disappointed to read this particular review in light of the years of service we performed which included various tasks such as extensive watering of their outside gardens, routine brushing of their Shelties, meds when needed and careful attention paid to ensure their safety from coyotes. After the confrontation with this client, we decided to fire them. We had never done this before and have not since. We just couldn't believe that, after 3 years of our relationship, that they would place more trust in a new electronic system than people that they had grown to know and trust. We are glad that they have found another sitter to care for their kids."

It's run by Ken Hartman, and they are bonded. They provide you with a nice folder, and yea, I am very happy with them. I have used them three times, and my children have used them once. They came and sat down for a good 45 minutes and I blabbed about my cats and they patiently listened, and took notes that if they would please take my mail in, on Tuesdays is trash day, if they would please put my trash out, and I showed them the litter boxes and questions they asked, like -do you have a little room and a dustpan. I said -Yes I did, that's what I use to clean up the boxes, the litter that falls over you know, and they were just very very, they even watered my plants. So it was a really good experience. I have three indoor cats, and my children have four indoor cats, and I assume they take good care of my cats. I used to spoil cats, so I have no reason to think that they wouldn't be just as good as taking care of dogs. Now punctual, was another case cause I gave them a house key. Now you have to trust somebody if you give somebody a house key. And Ken immediately said -we are going to put a number on it, and your name on it, because we don't want. So all those little details, you know? I've felt good about.
